REVELATION CHAPTER SIX
Revelation Chapter Six — The Seals Are Broken

The First Seal — The White Horse Rides Forth
SECTION ONE
THE FIRST SEAL IS OPENED — THE WHITE HORSE RIDES in Revelation Chapter Six.

A Symbolic Revelation of Deceptive Power and False Dominion
(Revelation 6:1–2)
“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals…”
— Revelation 6:1
From the beginning, we must remember:
This is not natural history — it is spiritual vision.
It is not about chronological timelines, but about principles and unveilings of how God deals with man — and how the Lamb begins to loose and reveal what was previously sealed in heaven in Revelation Chapter Six.

Seeing in the Spirit: God Speaks Through Symbols
The book is sealed — and it must be opened by the Lamb. Each seal is not a random event — it is a spiritual signpost in Revelation Chapter Six.
These are not literal horses galloping through space — they are images the Spirit uses to communicate eternal truths.
As Paul said:
“The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God… because they are spiritually discerned.” (1 Cor. 2:14)
And so the white horse is not a man, but a message — a revealing of how false power enters the world under the illusion of Christ-like authority.

“The Lamb Opened the Seal…”
Every opening in this chapter is initiated by Jesus the Lamb. He alone holds the authority.
This means:
Every unveiling is under divine control.
What is being released is not random chaos, but purposeful revelation.
The Lamb does not cause deception — but He allows it to be exposed for what it truly is.
Principle: Every judgment is a revealing — not of wrath alone, but of what’s been hidden in man and systems.

“One of the Four Living Creatures Said, ‘Come and See!’” in Revelation Chapter Six.
This voice is not human — it is from one of the four living creatures before the throne.
Each creature represents a dimension of Christ’s nature (Lion, Ox, Man, Eagle), and when they speak, they call us to see by the Spirit.
Come and see — is a spiritual call. Not with natural eyes, but with revelation eyes.
Not just to watch, but to perceive what the Spirit is saying.

A White Horse Appeared
White symbolizes purity, victory, and righteousness. But in this case, the white is a disguise.
This is not Christ riding — it is a spirit of deception wearing the appearance of light.
Jesus warned:
“Many shall come in My name, saying, ‘I am Christ,’ and shall deceive many.” (Matt. 24:5)
This is a false religious spirit — pretending to represent the Kingdom, but bringing in control, counterfeit authority, and spiritual corruption.
Principle of the sign:
The first thing loosed is not war or famine — it is deception that looks like truth.
The enemy always imitates the Lamb to establish false dominion before the truth is revealed. in Revelation Chapter Six.

A Crown Was Given Unto Him
He doesn’t earn the crown — it is given.
This speaks of permitted authority, not earned righteousness.
This spirit is allowed to operate under divine sovereignty — because it must be exposed.

It rules over minds and systems.

It claims religious legitimacy.

It promotes mental agreement without heart transformation.
This is the principle of religious domination.
The kind of “Christianity” that wears white but rules with fear, legalism, and manipulation. in Revelation Chapter Six.

He Had a Bow, but No Arrows
This bow is empty — it symbolizes power without substance.

He threatens, but has no real divine force.

He rules by illusion — control through words, not Spirit.

He conquers by deception, not warfare. in Revelation Chapter Six.
Principle of the symbol:
God is exposing spiritual control masked in righteousness.
The Lamb is not riding this horse — this is a spirit of antichrist religion dressed up as truth. in Revelation Chapter Six.

Final Revelation:
This white horse is the first thing loosed — because deception is always the beginning of judgment.
God must first reveal false thrones before He establishes true rulership.
The overcomer must discern the difference between the Lamb who conquers in love, and the spirit who conquers by deception.
“Come and see” is not about watching future news…
It is about seeing by the Spirit how Jesus is exposing false power and calling the saints to walk in true discernment.

SECTION TWO
THE SECOND SEAL IS OPENED — THE RED HORSE RIDES in Revelation Chapter Six.

False Peace Removed and the Sword of Division Revealed
(Revelation 6:3–4)
“And when He had opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red…”
— Revelation 6:3–4

The Lamb Opens the Second Seal
Again, we see the Lamb opening the seal — this means everything that follows is happening under His authority. The message is not random.
It is intentional and spiritual.
Each seal is a controlled unveiling — not of future terror, but of deep truth that must come to the surface. in Revelation Chapter Six.

The Second Living Creature Says, “Come and See”
This call comes from another living creature — possibly the ox, which represents servanthood and sacrifice. It would make sense, because this seal reveals the cost of false peace being broken. in Revelation Chapter Six.
“Come and see” is again a call to prophetic vision — don’t just watch world events…
See in the Spirit what is happening behind them.

A Red Horse Went Out
Red is the color of blood, violence, and carnal passion. in Revelation Chapter Six.
This is not just war in the natural sense — this is the spirit of conflict loosed.
Where the white horse was deceptive domination, this red horse is open aggression.

The mask of religion is now pulled off.

What was hidden in the first seal is now manifest in division, hatred, and war. in Revelation Chapter Six.

This speaks of conflict between nations, families, churches, and even within hearts.
Principle of the symbol:
When the false peace of religious pretense is broken, the true condition of hearts is revealed — war begins within before it manifests without.

Power Was Given to Him to Take Peace from the Earth in Revelation Chapter Six.
This rider doesn’t create war — he takes away peace.
This is key.
It doesn’t say “wars broke out.”
It says peace was removed.
In other words, the false peace of fleshly security, religious comfort, and external appearances is taken away — and the hidden violence of mankind is exposed.
Jesus said:
“I came not to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matt. 10:34)
Why? Because truth divides what is of the Spirit from what is of the flesh. in Revelation Chapter Six.
Prophetic meaning:
This red horse is a divine uncovering. The Lamb is not causing violence — He is lifting the veil so the true spiritual condition of man can be seen.

That They Should Kill One Another in Revelation Chapter Six.
The result is brother against brother.
Not just in war — but in division, hatred, and religious persecution.

Churches split.

Nations turn.

Families divide.
This is the fruit of flesh rising up when the cross is rejected. in Revelation Chapter Six.
Principle: The Lamb’s unveiling will expose the spirit of murder — not just literal killing, but slander, betrayal, and offense operating under the mask of religion or patriotism.

There Was Given Unto Him a Great Sword
This sword is not wielded by the Lamb — but it is permitted by the Lamb.

Sword = division, judgment, exposure.

Great = widespread, permitted to run its course.

It’s not about external destruction alone — it’s about the cutting away of fleshly unity, revealing whether peace is rooted in truth or compromise.
Prophetic meaning:
When God removes false peace, He brings the sword of His Word (Heb. 4:12). in Revelation Chapter Six.
The red horse is a symbol of what happens when people refuse the Lamb’s nature — they devour one another.

What Is God Saying Through This Sign?
The Lamb is not the cause of war — but He reveals when peace is false.
The red horse is the spirit of war and division loosed when truth challenges the systems of man. in Revelation Chapter Six.
Overcomers are those who walk in peace while the world crumbles in conflict.
Jesus said:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.” (Matt. 5:9)
This red horse rides so that the true sons may be revealed — those who are not swayed by fleshly warfare, but who walk in the Lamb’s nature.

SECTION THREE
THE THIRD SEAL IS OPENED — THE BLACK HORSE RIDES

Famine, Control, and the Hidden Word of Preservation
(Revelation 6:5–6)
“And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse…”
This is a vision not of physical color only, but of spiritual atmosphere. Black symbolizes darkness, grief, absence of light — and here it speaks of lack, scarcity, and oppression.

The Lamb Opens the Third Seal
As always, the Lamb opens the seal.
Nothing proceeds without His authority. in Revelation Chapter Six.
This reminds us again:
The Lamb reigns even in the release of judgment.
These are not Satan’s judgments — they are divine unveilings meant to expose what has been hidden and to separate light from darkness.

The Third Living Creature Says, “Come and See”
This voice could be from the man-faced living creature — the one tied to wisdom, compassion, and intelligence. This would make sense because this seal deals with economics, justice, and value.
Come and see is again a call to discernment — not to fear what we see, but to understand what the Spirit is revealing beneath the symbol.

A Black Horse Appears
Black represents: in Revelation Chapter Six.

Darkness, loss of revelation.

Scarcity, hunger, absence.

Oppression, both physical and spiritual.
This is not just a natural famine — this is a spiritual condition.
The famine is not only of bread — but of hearing the Word of the Lord (Amos 8:11).
Prophetic meaning:
This horse rides wherever the light of truth has been extinguished — it reveals the consequences of systems built without the Spirit.

He That Sat on Him Had a Pair of Balances in His Hand
The rider holds scales — this is a measuring tool, but also a symbol of commerce and judgment.
This speaks to:

Economic control.

Manipulated provision.

Imbalanced justice.
This rider does not bring equity — he brings weighed survival. Every grain is measured, every life evaluated in terms of cost and worth.
Principle: When men measure others by performance, wealth, or production, this spirit is riding.
This is a system that values money over mercy — where people are reduced to units of survival.

“A Measure of Wheat for a Penny, and Three Measures of Barley for a Penny…”
This voice isn’t the rider — it is a divine voice from the midst of the living creatures.
That means this is God’s perspective, not man’s.
A “penny” (denarius) was a full day’s wage.
A “measure of wheat” was barely enough for one meal.
Barley was lower quality, often fed to animals or the poor.
This speaks of inflation, economic pressure, and a world where even the basics are barely accessible.
Prophetic meaning:
The black horse reveals a time when life becomes a survival economy — spiritually, emotionally, financially.
You work all day just to barely survive. It’s a picture of a world without the abundance of the Spirit.

“Hurt Not the Oil and the Wine”
Here comes the mystery of mercy.
Even while wheat and barley are weighed and rationed, the voice commands:
“Do not touch the oil and the wine.”

Oil = the Spirit, the anointing, healing, and joy.

Wine = the life of Christ, covenant, communion, kingdom joy.
While the black horse rides through scarcity and control…
There is a hidden preservation of those who walk in the Spirit.
Principle of the sign:
Though the world is starving, the elect will have oil in their lamps and wine in their cups.
The Spirit will preserve His remnant even in the midst of global famine.

What Is the Spirit Saying?
The black horse is not just about grocery stores — it’s about spiritual famine.
It reveals the fruit of a world built on greed, control, and religious poverty.
But it also unveils the mercy of God — protecting the oil and wine for those who walk in intimacy with the Lamb.
“Come and see” means:
Look past the fear — and see the voice of preservation speaking in the midst of judgment.

SECTION FOUR
THE FOURTH SEAL IS OPENED — THE PALE HORSE RIDES

Death Unveiled, and the Unseen Realm Follows Behind
(Revelation 6:7–8)
“And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him…”

The Lamb Opens the Fourth Seal
Again — Jesus, the Lamb opens this seal.
This reminds us: even what seems dark or terrifying is under the Lamb’s authority.
He is not releasing evil without purpose.
He is revealing what was hidden beneath man’s systems.
The true state of fallen humanity — death working in all things — is being exposed.

The Fourth Living Creature Says, “Come and See”
This final living creature is likely the eagle — symbol of prophetic sight, heavenly perspective, and ascension.
This is essential.
You cannot look at death with carnal eyes.
You must rise above it — see from the heavens, not the earth.
That’s why the eagle calls us to look deeper.

“Behold a Pale Horse”
(Greek: Chloros — sickly green/yellow)
This is not just pale — it is sickly, like decay or disease. The color of rotting flesh, gangrene, and death in progress.
This horse represents:

Sickness

Premature death

Decay of systems, minds, bodies, and nations
It’s not just about physical dying — it is about the principle of death that reigns wherever the life of the Spirit is rejected.

His Name Was Death
This is the only horseman named. The other riders were symbols. But this one embodies death itself.
Not just a person — but a spiritual condition.
This is death without Christ.
It represents the fruit of separation from divine life.
Principle of the symbol:
Death is not just an event. It is a reigning force where the life of the Lamb is unknown.

And Hell (Hades) Followed With Him
This is not Gehenna or the lake of fire — it’s Hades, the unseen realm of the dead.
This speaks of:
The spiritual vacuum behind death.
The unconscious grip of religious systems that preach life but minister death.
The soul realm that cannot ascend without the life of Christ.
The pale horse rides through lands without revelation, and religions without resurrection.

Power Was Given Unto Them Over the Fourth Part of the Earth
This does not mean only geography — but a portion of mankind.
A quarter of the world lies under the rule of death — spiritually unawakened, disconnected from life.
But note: they were given power — this is still under the Lamb’s oversight.
Even death serves a purpose in the unveiling of truth.

To Kill With Sword, Hunger, Death, and Beasts of the Earth
This fourfold judgment echoes Ezekiel 14:21 — God’s severe judgments.

Sword — war and division

Hunger — famine and lack

Death — spiritual decay, pestilence

Beasts — chaos of fallen nature, unrestrained flesh
These are not just literal events — they represent the consequences of rejecting divine life.
Where the Lamb is rejected, death reigns.
Where the Spirit is grieved, beasts rise.

The Spirit’s Message to the Elect:
The pale horse is not the final word — it is the exposure of all that is not rooted in Christ.
Death must be revealed before resurrection is embraced.
Hades must be exposed before the keys of the Kingdom can unlock it.
Jesus holds the keys of death and Hades (Rev. 1:18).
The Lamb is not afraid of death — He conquered it.
The overcomer walks through the shadow, not into it.
And he hears the Spirit say, “Live!”

SECTION FIVE
THE FIFTH SEAL — THE SOULS UNDER THE ALTAR CRY OUT

The Voice of the Martyrs and the Revelation of Righteous Judgment
(Revelation 6:9–11)
“And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held…”
This seal reveals no horse. No rider. No physical destruction.
Instead, the veil lifts, and we are brought into the heavenly tabernacle — beneath the altar — where the voice of blood still speaks.

The Lamb Opens the Fifth Seal
This fifth seal shows the Lamb still in control.
But the scenery changes — now we peer into the heavenly realm, into the holiest place.
The vision now deals not with judgment falling on the earth, but with a heavenly record of those who have laid down their lives.
This is a holy unveiling — not of wrath, but of intercession and divine remembrance.

“I Saw Under the Altar the Souls of Them That Were Slain…”
We must understand the symbolism of the altar:
The altar was the place of sacrifice in the Old Covenant.
Under it was where the blood ran — a type of atonement and life poured out.
Now we see not blood, but souls — the living memory of those who gave everything for Christ.
These are the martyrs, the overcomers, the faithful witnesses.
Not all were slain physically — some laid down their lives in surrender, rejection, ridicule, and spiritual cost.
This is the company who chose the Lamb above life — and they now live under the altar of heaven’s remembrance.

“…for the Word of God, and for the Testimony Which They Held”
They weren’t killed for being religious.
They were slain for:

The Word of God — the eternal truth that cuts, divides, and exposes.

The testimony of Jesus — the bold, uncompromising declaration of His Lordship and Life.
The overcomer does not love his life unto death (Rev. 12:11).
The true witness will be hated by systems that cannot endure the fire of truth.

They Cried with a Loud Voice, “How Long, O Lord…”
This cry is not for revenge, but for righteous judgment.
They are not asking God to destroy men — they are asking for the Kingdom to come, for justice to arise from mercy, and for the truth to be vindicated.
This cry echoes the Psalms:
“How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever?” (Ps. 13:1)
“Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Gen. 18:25)
These are prophetic intercessors, not complainers.
Their prayer is birthed in oneness with God’s purpose — longing for the Lamb to reign fully.

“White Robes Were Given to Every One of Them”
White robes symbolize:

Righteousness

Honor and glory

Peace and victory
These are not garments of future reward — they are present affirmations of who they are in Christ.
The world rejected them.
Systems buried them.
But the heavenly realm clothes them in glory.
The Lamb covers the slain in righteousness — because in their death, His life shines brighter.

“It Was Said to Them That They Should Rest Yet for a Little Season…”
Here’s the mystery:
They must wait.
Not because justice is delayed — but because God’s timing is perfect.
They must wait until their fellowservants and brethren — the rest of the overcomers — complete their own witness.
God’s plan is not finished until the entire company of firstfruits is sealed in faith, finished in love, and brought into union with the Lamb.
This “little season” is mercy — that others may rise, that the full remnant may be revealed, and that truth may reach its climax in the earth.

What Is the Spirit Saying?
There is a voice in heaven crying out for the Lamb to be revealed in justice.
The martyrs under the altar are not forgotten — they are clothed in white, remembered in glory.
Their cry is our cry:
“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
We do not fear death — for we are the company who have already died in Christ.
The altar speaks…
The souls cry…
And the Lamb answers — not with vengeance, but with the unfolding of full redemption.

SECTION SIX
THE SIXTH SEAL — COSMIC SHAKING AND THE WRATH OF THE LAMB

The Removal of False Foundations and the Unveiling of Christ’s Dominion
(Revelation 6:12–17)
“And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake…”
This seal is the culmination of all previous judgments — and marks a dramatic transition from inner unveiling to outer shaking.
The Lamb, hidden in meekness, now steps forth in unveiled majesty.
And everything that can be shaken — is shaken.

The Lamb Opens the Sixth Seal
We must never forget — it is still the Lamb opening the seal.
This is not Satan, nor random chaos.
The shaking is divinely ordered.
The wrath is not cruel rage — it is the fire of righteous love that destroys everything that opposes Christ’s rule.

“There Was a Great Earthquake”
This earthquake is not just geological — it is spiritual.

It speaks of systems collapsing.

Institutions falling.

False religion and carnal security crumbling.
Principle of the sign:
The Lamb begins to shake everything built on sand, so that only that which is built on Himself remains (see Hebrews 12:26–27).

“The Sun Became Black… the Moon as Blood… the Stars Fell…”
These celestial signs are deeply symbolic:

The Sun (light, understanding, truth) becomes dark — human wisdom and enlightenment fail in the face of divine glory.

The Moon (reflection of truth, soulish religion) turns to blood — symbolizing judgment on the emotional, symbolic religion of man.

Stars (leaders, influencers, spiritual voices) fall — all man-made ministries, idols, and powers collapse when the Lamb appears.
Isaiah 13:10, Joel 2:31, Matthew 24:29 — all speak of these same symbols.
They represent a divine deconstruction of the heavens men trusted in.

“The Heaven Departed as a Scroll When It Is Rolled Together”
This is stunning imagery.
It reveals that what was once open is now closed — the age of mercy is giving way to the age of unveiled dominion.

Heaven = realm of Spirit, revelation, grace

Scroll = message, unfolding purpose
When the scroll rolls up, it’s the end of an era — and the beginning of full manifestation.

“Every Mountain and Island Were Moved Out of Their Places”
Mountains = kingdoms, governments, powers
Islands = isolated systems, strongholds of thought
Nothing stands in its place when the Lamb’s voice thunders.
As in Daniel 2, the stone cut without hands strikes the image — and all kingdoms fall before the Kingdom of God.
“The mountain of the Lord’s house shall be exalted above the hills…” (Isa. 2:2)

“The Kings, Great Men, Rich Men, Chief Captains, Mighty Men, Bondmen, Free Men…”
This list includes:
Political rulers
Religious elites
Military powers
Economic giants
Social leaders
Servants and masters alike
No one escapes.
All ranks of flesh must bow before the presence of the Lamb in His wrath.
This is not about who has power — it’s about who has Christ.

“Hid Themselves… Said to the Mountains, ‘Fall on Us’…”
Here is the reaction of those who resisted the Lamb:
Instead of repenting, they hide.
Instead of surrendering, they call on creation to cover them.
This mirrors Genesis 3 — when Adam hid from the voice of God.
This is the final rebellion of flesh — trying to escape exposure rather than embrace transformation.

“For the Great Day of His Wrath is Come, and Who Shall Be Able to Stand?”
Here it is — the wrath of the Lamb.
But this wrath is not cruelty. It is the fire of pure love and unstoppable truth that:
Exposes all falsehood
Consumes every lie
Brings everything under the lordship of Christ
The “wrath” of the Lamb is simply the unveiled presence of God — to the rebellious, it feels like judgment. To the righteous, it feels like deliverance.

Who Shall Be Able to Stand?
Only one company can stand — the overcomers, the sealed, the bride made ready.
“Having done all… stand.” (Eph. 6:13)
“These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He goes…” (Rev. 14:4)
This sixth seal is not the end — it is the final warning before the great sealing of God’s remnant in Revelation 7.

CONCLUSION
THE VOICE OF THE LAMB IN THE SIX SEALS
As we close this powerful chapter, we are not left with fear, but with holy awe.
What we have witnessed is not chaos unleashed — but Christ revealed through symbols that communicate spiritual reality.

The Lamb Reigns Through It All
The central truth of Revelation 6 is this:

The Lamb opens every seal.

The Lamb permits every unveiling.

The Lamb is Lord over every realm — heaven, earth, and under the earth.
The judgments of the seals are not wrath without purpose — they are surgical unveilings designed to expose what is false, carnal, man-made, and dead — so that only what is true, Spirit-born, and eternal in Christ may remain.

The Four Horses Are Spiritual Principles
Each horse speaks to patterns of deception, war, famine, and death — not just in global history, but in the soul of man and within religious systems.

White Horse – False authority and religious domination

Red Horse – Division, war, and the sword of separation

Black Horse – Famine of truth, scarcity of Spirit

Pale Horse – Death and decay where Christ is absent
Yet the Lamb rides above them all.

The Fifth Seal: A Holy Cry for Justice
Under the altar, we hear the voice of the overcomers — those who laid down their lives for the Word and the Testimony.
Their cry is not for destruction — it is a divine longing for the Kingdom to come.
Their robes are white, and they rest in glory, waiting for the full company of firstfruits to be revealed.

The Sixth Seal: The Shaking of All That Can Be Shaken
Here the cosmos trembles. Kings fall. Heavens roll up.
This is not the end of the world — this is the end of man’s dominion, and the emergence of the Lamb’s righteous reign.
The wrath of the Lamb is not vengeance — it is the holy fire of truth, justice, and divine light, melting away every lie and confronting every false kingdom.

What Is the Spirit Saying to the Church?
Look not with fear, but with understanding.
These seals are being opened in your own soul.
The white horse of deception must be cast down.
The red horse must lose its sword where peace rules your heart.
The black horse must be starved out by the abundance of revelation.
The pale horse must flee where resurrection life reigns.
And the cry of the altar must rise in you — a cry for truth, for justice, for Christ to be formed fully in His elect.

A Company That Can Stand
The chapter ends with the question:
“Who shall be able to stand?”
And the answer comes in the next chapter — those sealed with the name of God, those who have not bowed to fear, religion, or death…
but who walk in the nature of the Lamb.

May we be that people.

May we be the overcomers.

May we follow the Lamb wherever He goes — even through judgment, into glory.
Amen
