The Book of Revelation Fourth Seal Opened — Christ Revealed as the Pale / Green Horse Rider Destroying Death by Death and Bringing Creation into God All in All
Book of Revelation: Author
By Carl Timothy Wray
Carl Timothy Wray is the founder of The Finished Work of Christ and a teacher devoted to unveiling the Revelation of Jesus Christ through the full counsel of God from Genesis to Revelation. His writings establish the Throne of God as the foundation of interpretation and reveal Christ’s finished work as a present, active administration unfolding within creation. Through structured, Scripture-anchored teaching, Wray demonstrates how each seal reveals not chaos, but the progressive appearing of Jesus Christ bringing all things into alignment, victory, and fulfillment. His work focuses on the ultimate purpose of God — the abolition of death, the manifestation of life, and the consummation where God becomes all in all.
The Book of Revelation Fourth Seal Opened Meaning — The Pale / Green Horse Revealed
The Book of Revelation Fourth Seal Opened reveals Jesus Christ as the Rider of the pale / green horse (Revelation 6:7-8), whose name is called Death, yet whose mission is to destroy death itself through His finished work. Unlike traditional interpretations that present this rider as a force of destruction, this book explains the pale green horse as Christ exercising authority over death, bringing the Adamic nature to its end and establishing resurrection life. Through key biblical witnesses such as Revelation 1:18, Hebrews 2:14, and 1 Corinthians 15:26, this teaching shows how the Fourth Seal represents the final phase of Christ’s progressive unveiling — where death is swallowed up in victory and creation is brought into the fulfillment of God being all in all.

Book of Revelation: Introduction
The Throne Is Established Before Death Appears
Before the pale / green horse ever rode…
Before death was named…
Before hell followed…
There was a Throne.
“And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.” — Revelation 4:2
This is where revelation begins.
Not in the earth.
Not in death.
Not in crisis.
In the Throne.
Because nothing in the Book of Revelation originates in the earth.
Everything originates in the Throne.
The Throne is the causative realm.
The earth is the affected realm.
This means the Fourth Seal does not reveal death operating outside of Christ’s authority.
It reveals death operating under Christ’s authority.
Death does not initiate this seal.
The Lamb initiates this seal.
“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come and see.” — Revelation 6:7
This establishes the central truth that governs the entire vision:
Death does not appear independently.
Death appears because the Lamb opened the seal.
This changes everything.
Because the Lamb is not releasing an enemy He cannot control.
The Lamb is revealing a realm He has already conquered.
He does not open the seal to surrender authority.
He opens the seal to demonstrate authority.
The pale / green horse is not the rise of death’s power.
It is the unveiling of Christ’s power over death.
This is confirmed by His own declaration:
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” — Revelation 1:18
He does not hold partial authority.
He holds the keys.
The keys represent ownership.
The keys represent control.
The keys represent dominion.
This means death does not move unless He permits it to move.
Hell does not follow unless He allows it to follow.
The Fourth Seal is not revealing the victory of death.
It is revealing the administration of the One who conquered death.
But there is a mystery here.
When John looked, he saw a pale horse.
And his name that sat on him was Death.
Yet the Lamb who opened the seal is the One who abolished death.
How can the One who destroyed death now appear in connection with death?
How can the One who conquered death now be revealed through death?
This is the paradox.
This is the mystery.
This is the revelation of the Fourth Seal.
Because the pale / green horse does not reveal death reigning.
It reveals Christ destroying death from within.
It reveals the final phase of His administration.
It reveals the termination of the Adamic realm.
It reveals the destruction of the last enemy.
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” — 1 Corinthians 15:26
This is not the beginning of death.
This is the beginning of its end.
The pale / green horse is not the victory of death.
It is the process through which death is abolished.
It is Christ entering the final enemy…
To destroy it completely.
And when this work is finished…
Death will be no more.
“And there shall be no more death.” — Revelation 21:4
This is the revelation of the Fourth Seal.
This is the unveiling of the pale / green horse.
This is the appearing of Christ as the One who destroys death by death…
Until creation stands fully alive in Him…
And God becomes…
Chapter 1
The Throne and the Lamb: The Source of the Fourth Seal
The Throne Is Established Before the Seals Are Opened
Before the pale / green horse ever appeared…
Before death was named…
Before hell followed…
John saw a Throne.
The Throne Is the Origin of All Revelation
“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven… and immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.”
— Revelation 4:1–2
This is where revelation begins.
Not in the earth.
Not in death.
Not in crisis.
In the Throne.
Because nothing in the Book of Revelation originates in the earth.
Everything originates in the Throne of God.
The Throne is the causative realm.
The earth is the responsive realm.
This establishes the first governing law of the Fourth Seal:
Death does not initiate this seal.
The Throne initiates this seal.
Death is not the cause.
Death is the subject being dealt with.
The Lamb Stands in the Midst of the Throne
John did not only see a Throne.
He saw a Lamb standing in the midst of it.
The Lamb Is the Administrator of the Throne
“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne… stood a Lamb as it had been slain.”
— Revelation 5:6
The Lamb is not beneath the Throne.
The Lamb is not separate from the Throne.
The Lamb stands in the midst of the Throne.
This reveals His position as the Administrator of God’s authority.
He executes the will of the Throne.
He governs what proceeds from the Throne.
He fulfills the purpose of the Throne.
This Lamb bears the marks of sacrifice…
But He stands alive.
He was slain…
Yet He lives.
This reveals the foundation of His authority.
He has already passed through death.
He has already conquered death.
He now governs death.
The Lamb Alone Is Worthy to Open the Seals
The seals did not open themselves.
The Lamb opened the seals.
His Worthiness Was Established Through Victory Over Death
“And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book…
Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda… hath prevailed to open the book.”
— Revelation 5:3,5
He prevailed.
He overcame.
He conquered.
His authority over death was not theoretical.
It was experiential.
He entered death.
He passed through death.
He rose beyond death.
And now He governs death.
This is why He declared:
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore… and have the keys of hell and of death.”
— Revelation 1:18
He does not request the keys.
He possesses the keys.
He does not fear death.
Death answers to Him.
Death is not His rival.
Death is His subject.
The Fourth Seal Opens Because the Lamb Opens It
The pale / green horse does not appear randomly.
It appears because the Lamb opens the seal.
Death Appears Under the Authority of Christ
“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come and see.”
— Revelation 6:7
This statement governs the entire Fourth Seal.
The Lamb opened it.
Death did not open it.
Hell did not open it.
The Lamb opened it.
This means the Fourth Seal does not reveal death escaping His authority.
It reveals death operating under His authority.
The Lamb does not open seals to release chaos.
He opens seals to fulfill purpose.
Every seal reveals an aspect of His administration.
Every seal reveals a phase of His victory.
Every seal reveals the progressive overthrow of the Adamic realm.
The Fourth Seal reveals the overthrow of death itself.
The Fourth Seal Reveals the Beginning of Death’s End
The pale / green horse does not reveal death’s triumph.
It reveals death’s termination.
Christ Appears to Destroy Death
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
— 1 John 3:8
Christ was manifested to destroy death.
Not to surrender to it.
Not to coexist with it.
To destroy it.
This destruction is progressive.
The seals reveal this progression.
The Fourth Seal reveals the phase where death itself is confronted.
Because Scripture declares:
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26
The Fourth Seal reveals the beginning of that destruction.
Not the victory of death.
But the victory of Christ over death.
The Lamb Reigns as Death Faces Its Defeat
The Fourth Seal begins with the Lamb reigning.
Not with death reigning.
The Throne is established.
The Lamb is standing.
The seal is opened.
And death is about to face the One who conquered it.
Because the pale / green horse does not reveal death’s authority.
It reveals Christ’s authority over death.
It reveals Christ entering the final enemy…
To bring it to its end.
And when His work is complete…
Death will be no more.
“And there shall be no more death.”
— Revelation 21:4
This is the foundation of the Fourth Seal.
The Throne governs.
The Lamb reigns.
The seal opens.
And death begins its final defeat.
Chapter 2
When the Lamb Opened the Fourth Seal: The Appearing of the Pale / Green Horse
The Fourth Seal Opens by the Authority of the Lamb
The pale / green horse does not appear until the Lamb opens the Fourth Seal.
This establishes the authority behind the appearing.
“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, Come and see.”
— Revelation 6:7
The Lamb is the cause.
The horse is the effect.
The Throne initiates.
Creation responds.
Nothing in this vision is independent.
Nothing is accidental.
Nothing is outside His administration.
The Lamb who conquered death now opens the seal that reveals His dealing with death.
This is not death rising beyond His control.
This is Christ revealing His dominion over death.
The Command: Come and See
John is not forced to see.
He is invited to see.
“Come and see.”
Revelation always comes by invitation.
The Spirit calls.
The prepared heart sees.
This phrase reveals that what follows must be spiritually discerned.
This is not merely an outward event.
This is a spiritual unveiling.
This is Christ being revealed in a specific operation.
Because revelation is not information.
Revelation is unveiling.
Something hidden is now being made visible.
The Fourth Seal unveils Christ in His final dealing with death.
Behold: A Pale / Green Horse
John says:
“And I looked, and behold a pale horse.”
— Revelation 6:8
The word “behold” signals an unveiling.
Something previously hidden is now visible.
Something previously concealed is now revealed.
The color appears first.
Then the horse appears.
This is the order of revelation.
Identity first.
Operation second.
The Greek word translated “pale” is chloros.
This word means green.
It is the color of living vegetation.
It is the color of life.
It is the color of that which grows.
This reveals something remarkable.
Life is appearing.
Not death appearing.
Life is appearing.
Yet this life is about to confront death.
Because when life enters the realm of death…
Death cannot survive.
The Color Reveals His Identity
The color identifies the nature of the One appearing.
White revealed Him as conqueror.
Red revealed Him as judge.
Black revealed Him as examiner.
Pale / green reveals Him as life confronting death.
The color identifies Him.
The horse executes His operation.
The color reveals His nature.
The horse reveals His movement.
Because a horse in Scripture represents power in motion.
“For thou hast made him to ride upon thine high places.”
— Habakkuk 3:19
This is not life remaining still.
This is life advancing.
This is life moving into the territory of death.
This is life confronting the final enemy.
Life Appears in a Realm Ruled by Death
The green horse appears in a world governed by Adam.
Adam brought death into creation.
“By one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin.”
— Romans 5:12
Death ruled the Adamic realm.
Death governed the fallen nature.
Death dominated human existence.
But now life appears.
Not hidden.
Not passive.
Not distant.
Appearing.
Moving.
Advancing.
Because when life appears…
Death begins to lose its dominion.
Truth appearing brings death to the lie.
Light appearing brings death to darkness.
Life appearing brings death to death.
This is the nature of Christ’s appearing.
The Horse Reveals the Beginning of His Operation
The color identifies Him.
The horse reveals His action.
This is no longer identity alone.
This is identity moving into operation.
This is life executing its purpose.
This is Christ actively confronting death.
He is not observing death.
He is confronting death.
He is not avoiding death.
He is entering death’s territory.
Because He already conquered death at the cross.
Now He reveals that victory progressively.
He rides to enforce what He already accomplished.
He rides to manifest what He already secured.
He rides to bring death’s reign to its end.
The Appearing of Life Initiates the End of Death
The pale / green horse does not signal death gaining authority.
It signals death losing authority.
Because life has appeared.
And death cannot coexist with life.
“In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
— John 1:4–5
Darkness cannot overcome light.
Death cannot overcome life.
When life appears…
Death begins to collapse.
This is the meaning of the pale / green horse.
This is Christ appearing in the aspect of His nature that abolishes death.
This is Christ riding forth as life itself…
Confronting the final enemy.
And when His work is complete…
Death will be no more.
Chapter 3
His Name Was Death: The Nature of Christ’s Operation Against Death
His Name Was Called Death
After John sees the pale / green horse…
The next phrase unveils the nature of the Rider’s operation.
“And his name that sat on him was Death.”
— Revelation 6:8
This is one of the most misunderstood statements in the Book of Revelation.
Because the Spirit does not say death was riding independently.
It says his name was called Death.
This is not merely identifying a person.
This is revealing an operation.
In Scripture, a name reveals nature.
A name reveals function.
A name reveals what something does.
When God changed Abram’s name to Abraham…
He revealed his function as father of many nations.
When God changed Jacob’s name to Israel…
He revealed his function as prince with God.
Here, the Rider’s name reveals His operation against death.
This is Christ appearing in the aspect of His nature that brings death to death.
The Lamb Already Possesses Authority Over Death
This Rider cannot be independent of Christ.
Because Christ already declared His authority over death.
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore… and have the keys of hell and of death.”
— Revelation 1:18
He possesses the keys.
Death does not possess Him.
He governs death.
Death does not govern Him.
The One riding is the One who conquered death.
The One riding is the One who entered death and overcame it.
The One riding is the One who now administers death’s destruction.
His name reveals His function.
He is executing death’s defeat.
Christ Became Death to Destroy Death
Christ’s victory over death did not occur by avoiding death.
It occurred by entering death.
“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death.”
— Hebrews 2:14
He entered death.
He passed through death.
He rose beyond death.
He destroyed death from within.
He became what He came to destroy.
Not to remain in it.
But to overthrow it.
This is the pattern revealed in the Fourth Seal.
He appears in the name of Death…
Because He is executing death’s destruction.
The Appearing of Life Produces Death to the Adamic Nature
When Christ appears…
Something dies.
Not the new man.
The old man.
“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him.”
— Romans 6:6
Truth appearing kills the lie.
Light appearing kills darkness.
Life appearing kills death.
This is why His appearing carries death as part of its operation.
Because resurrection requires death.
There is no resurrection without crucifixion.
There is no new creation without the old creation ending.
There is no life manifest without death being removed.
His name was called Death…
Because His appearing executes the end of the Adamic nature.
His Name Reveals the Beginning of Death’s End
This phrase does not reveal death’s victory.
It reveals death’s defeat.
Christ is not serving death.
Christ is destroying death.
He is executing the final overthrow of death’s authority.
Because Scripture declares His ultimate purpose:
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26
Death is not eternal.
Death is temporary.
Death is an enemy marked for destruction.
Christ appears in this seal to execute that destruction.
His name reveals His mission.
His name reveals His operation.
His name reveals His purpose.
He appears as Death…
To bring death to its end.
The Rider Executes the Victory of the Cross
The Fourth Seal does not introduce a new victory.
It reveals the enforcement of an existing victory.
Christ already conquered death.
Now He manifests that victory.
Now He enforces that victory.
Now He applies that victory.
He rides to bring death’s reign to its conclusion.
He rides to fulfill the purpose of the cross.
He rides to bring resurrection life into full manifestation.
Because when His operation is complete…
Death will be no more.
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:54
His Name Is Death Because He Brings Death to Death
The Rider’s name does not glorify death.
It announces death’s destruction.
He appears in the realm of death…
To abolish it.
He appears in the domain of death…
To terminate it.
He appears in the territory of death…
To replace it with life.
Because He is not only the One who died.
He is the One who rose.
And He is the One who lives forever.
And His appearing marks the beginning of death’s final end.
Chapter 4
Hell Followed With Him: The Subjection of the Grave to Christ
Hell Followed With Him
The Spirit continues the unveiling:
“And his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.”
— Revelation 6:8
This phrase completes the picture of Christ’s operation in the Fourth Seal.
Death is riding.
Hell is following.
This is not two independent powers.
This is one unified operation.
Hell is not leading.
Hell is following.
Hell is not ruling.
Hell is being carried into subjection.
The order reveals authority.
Death rides under Christ’s authority.
Hell follows under Christ’s authority.
Everything in the realm of death is being brought under His dominion.
Hell Is the Realm of the Dead, Not an Independent Kingdom
The word translated hell here is the Greek word Hades.
Hades simply means:
The realm of the dead.
The state of death.
The condition of death’s captivity.
It is not presented as a sovereign kingdom.
It is presented as a realm under authority.
Because Christ already entered that realm.
And conquered it.
“Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?”
— Ephesians 4:9
He entered death’s domain.
He entered the grave’s authority.
He entered the realm of captivity.
Not as a prisoner.
But as a conqueror.
Christ Already Took the Keys of Hell
Christ did not merely visit death.
He took authority over it.
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore… and have the keys of hell and of death.”
— Revelation 1:18
Keys represent authority.
Ownership.
Control.
Hell does not hold the keys.
Christ holds the keys.
Hell does not decide.
Christ decides.
Hell does not govern.
Christ governs.
Hell follows because Christ rules.
Hell Following Reveals Subjection, Not Victory
This phrase reveals submission.
Hell is not advancing.
Hell is following.
Hell is being carried into its own destruction.
This fulfills the promise declared in prophecy:
“O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction.”
— Hosea 13:14
Death is not the final authority.
The grave is not the final authority.
Christ is the final authority.
Hell follows Him because hell is being brought to its end.
Christ Leads Captivity Captive
Paul described this victory clearly:
“When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive.”
— Ephesians 4:8
Captivity was captured.
Death was conquered.
Hell was subdued.
The grave was overthrown.
Christ did not escape death alone.
He took authority over death itself.
Now death and hell move only under His command.
They follow Him.
They serve His purpose.
They fulfill His operation.
Hell Following Reveals the Collapse of Death’s Kingdom
The Fourth Seal reveals the dismantling of death’s entire system.
Death rides.
Hell follows.
Both are under Christ’s authority.
Both are moving toward their appointed end.
Because Scripture declares their final destination:
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.”
— Revelation 20:14
Death ends.
Hell ends.
Their authority ends.
Their existence as ruling powers ends.
They are removed from God’s creation.
This seal reveals the beginning of that process.
The Rider Is Bringing All Things Under His Feet
Christ’s ultimate purpose is clear:
“For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:25
Death is an enemy.
Hell is an enemy.
Both are being placed under His feet.
Both are being brought into subjection.
Both are being removed from authority.
Because His reign is absolute.
His victory is complete.
His dominion is total.
Hell Follows Because Life Is Leading
This is the great revelation of the Fourth Seal.
Death rides.
Hell follows.
But Christ governs both.
He governs death to destroy death.
He governs hell to abolish hell.
He governs the grave to empty the grave.
Because the One riding is not a victim.
He is the conqueror.
He is the resurrected One.
He is the One who lives forever.
And everything in the realm of death now follows Him.
Not to victory.
But to its end.
Chapter 5
Power Was Given Unto Him: The Authority of Christ Over the Fourth Part of the Earth
Power Was Given Unto Him
The Spirit continues the unveiling:
“And power was given unto him over the fourth part of the earth…”
— Revelation 6:8
This phrase reveals something critical.
The Rider possesses authority.
But this authority is also described as given.
This does not mean He lacked authority.
It reveals the activation of authority for a specific phase of operation.
Christ always possessed dominion.
But here, His dominion is being exercised in a focused work.
A work directed toward a specific realm.
The fourth part of the earth.
Authority Always Originates From the Throne
All authority flows from God’s throne.
Christ Himself declared:
“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
— Matthew 28:18
This authority is not partial.
It is complete.
He governs heaven.
He governs earth.
He governs life.
He governs death.
And now, in the Fourth Seal, this authority is being exercised to complete the destruction of death’s domain.
The Fourth Part of the Earth Reveals a Specific Realm of Operation
The phrase “fourth part” is not random.
It reveals order.
Completion.
Finality.
There were four horses.
Each horse represents a phase of Christ’s operation.
The fourth horse completes the sequence.
This final phase targets what remains.
The last stronghold.
The deepest layer.
The final portion of the earth-man still under death’s influence.
This reveals that Christ’s work is progressive.
He deals with every realm.
He leaves nothing unfinished.
The Earth Represents the Adamic Nature
Throughout Scripture, earth often symbolizes the natural man.
“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:47
The earth represents the Adamic identity.
The natural nature.
The mortal condition.
Christ’s authority over the fourth part of the earth reveals His final dealings with this realm.
He is bringing the earth-man to its end.
He is removing the last vestiges of Adam’s dominion.
He is completing the transition from Adam to Christ.
This Authority Is Given to Complete the Work
This phase is not the beginning.
It is the completion.
The final application.
The concluding operation.
Christ’s authority is now applied to finish what was started.
This fulfills what Paul declared:
“For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:25
This authority exists to remove every enemy.
Every opposing force.
Every remaining expression of death.
Nothing remains outside His dominion.
The Authority of Christ Extends Into Every Realm
His authority is not limited to heaven.
It reaches into death.
It reaches into hell.
It reaches into earth.
It reaches into the body.
It reaches into the soul.
It reaches into the spirit.
Everything falls under His dominion.
This fulfills the eternal purpose of God:
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.”
— Philippians 2:10
Heaven bows.
Earth bows.
Hell bows.
Death bows.
Everything submits.
The Fourth Seal Reveals the Final Phase of Subjection
This is the concluding phase of the Four Horsemen.
The first revealed conquest.
The second revealed separation.
The third revealed judgment.
The fourth reveals termination.
The end of death’s authority.
The end of Adam’s dominion.
The end of the mortal reign.
This authority ensures the completion of God’s purpose.
Nothing escapes His rule.
Nothing escapes His operation.
Nothing escapes His victory.
This Authority Exists to Establish Life’s Complete Dominion
The purpose of this authority is not destruction alone.
It is transformation.
It is restoration.
It is completion.
Christ removes death so life may fully reign.
He removes corruption so incorruption may appear.
He removes mortality so immortality may manifest.
This fulfills the promise:
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26
This is the purpose of His authority.
This is the meaning of the Fourth Seal.
This is the operation of the pale green horse.
Life now holds full authority.
Death is being removed.
And Christ’s dominion is being fully established.
Chapter 6
To Kill With Sword, Hunger, Death, and Beasts: The Four Instruments of Christ’s Final Victory
To Kill With Sword, Hunger, Death, and Beasts
The Fourth Seal continues:
“…to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
— Revelation 6:8
This phrase reveals the method.
Not the identity.
Not the authority.
But the instruments.
The means through which Christ completes His work.
Four instruments.
Sword.
Hunger.
Death.
Beasts.
Each one reveals a dimension of His operation.
Each one removes a layer of Adam’s dominion.
Each one advances the reign of Life.
The Sword: The Word That Cuts Off the Old Head
The sword represents the Word of God.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…”
— Hebrews 4:12
This sword does not cut flesh.
It cuts identity.
It divides the old man from the new.
It separates truth from illusion.
It removes the headship of Adam.
This is why Revelation later speaks of those who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus.
Their old head was removed.
Their Adamic mind was replaced.
The sword installs a new head.
Christ Himself.
The Sword Establishes the Mind of Christ
The carnal mind cannot inherit life.
It must be removed.
“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
— Romans 8:6
The sword destroys the carnal mind’s authority.
It replaces it with Christ’s mind.
This is not symbolic alone.
It is operational.
Christ removes Adam’s government.
Christ installs His own government.
This is the first instrument.
Hunger: The Starvation of the Old Nature
The second instrument is hunger.
Hunger represents deprivation.
Withdrawal.
Starvation.
The old nature survives on its supply.
When its supply ends, it weakens.
When its supply ends, it collapses.
When its supply ends, it dies.
This fulfills Paul’s declaration:
“Make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”
— Romans 13:14
Without provision, the flesh loses strength.
Without strength, it loses authority.
Without authority, it disappears.
Hunger Strengthens the Life Within
As the old nature starves, the new nature grows.
The hunger shifts.
It no longer craves earth.
It craves heaven.
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
— Matthew 5:6
This hunger feeds Life.
This hunger strengthens Christ’s reign.
This hunger removes death’s influence.
Death: Death Turned Against Itself
The third instrument is death itself.
This is the deepest mystery.
Death becomes the instrument of death’s destruction.
Christ used death to destroy death.
“That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death…”
— Hebrews 2:14
Death was not His defeat.
Death was His weapon.
Death became His doorway into victory.
This is why the Rider’s name is Death.
He brings death to death.
Death Is Swallowed Up by Life
Death cannot survive Life.
Life consumes it.
Life absorbs it.
Life replaces it.
This fulfills the promise:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:54
Death does not coexist with Life.
Death disappears.
Life remains.
This is the operation of the pale green horse.
The Beasts of the Earth: The Final Crushing of the Adamic Nature
The fourth instrument is the beasts of the earth.
Beasts represent the natural nature.
The instinct-driven nature.
The survival-driven nature.
The Adamic nature.
Throughout Scripture, beasts represent fallen dominion.
Daniel saw beasts representing earthly kingdoms.
Revelation reveals beasts representing fallen systems.
Here, the beasts represent the final exposure and destruction of Adam’s nature.
Christ uses every circumstance.
Every pressure.
Every conflict.
To bring Adam’s nature to its end.
All Four Instruments Work Together
The sword removes Adam’s head.
Hunger removes Adam’s supply.
Death removes Adam’s existence.
Beasts remove Adam’s nature.
Nothing remains.
No part survives.
No aspect escapes.
Christ completes the work fully.
This fulfills Paul’s declaration:
“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him…”
— Romans 6:6
This crucifixion is not partial.
It is complete.
These Instruments Exist to Establish Complete Victory
Christ does not leave the work unfinished.
Every instrument serves His purpose.
Every instrument advances His dominion.
Every instrument removes death’s authority.
This leads to the final outcome.
Total victory.
Total transformation.
Total dominion.
The pale green horse completes the work.
Death is removed.
Life reigns.
Christ stands victorious.
Chapter 7
Hell Followed With Him: The Collapse of Death’s Entire Realm
Hell Followed With Him
The Fourth Seal continues with a statement of staggering importance:
“…and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.”
— Revelation 6:8
Hell followed.
Not Hell leading.
Not Hell ruling.
Hell following.
This order reveals everything.
Hell is not the authority here.
Hell is the captive.
Hell is being pulled into the Rider’s operation.
Hell is being brought into its own destruction.
Hell Is the Realm of Death’s Administration
The word “Hell” here is translated from the Greek word Hades.
Hades is not merely a place.
It is a realm.
A condition.
A state under death’s authority.
It is the realm where death governs.
It is the domain where Adam’s fall operates.
Scripture reveals this connection clearly:
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26
Death is the ruler.
Hades is its kingdom.
Where death reigns, Hades exists.
Hell Exists Because Death Exists
Hell has no independent life.
It exists only because death exists.
Remove death—
And Hell collapses.
This is why both are mentioned together.
Death rides.
Hell follows.
Because Hell cannot exist apart from Death.
Hell is the shadow.
Death is the substance.
Destroy death—
And Hell disappears.
Christ Entered Hell to Destroy It From Within
Christ did not avoid death’s realm.
He entered it.
He penetrated it.
He conquered it from within.
Peter declared:
“He went and preached unto the spirits in prison.”
— 1 Peter 3:19
Christ entered the prison.
Not as prisoner—
As conqueror.
Paul confirmed:
“When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive…”
— Ephesians 4:8
He captured captivity itself.
He conquered the conqueror.
He took authority over death’s realm.
Christ Now Holds the Keys of Death and Hell
After His resurrection, Christ declared:
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
— Revelation 1:18
Keys represent authority.
Ownership.
Control.
Christ now governs death’s former domain.
Death no longer governs itself.
Hell no longer governs itself.
Christ governs both.
This is why Hell follows Him.
It cannot resist Him.
It cannot escape Him.
It must follow His command.
Hell Following Him Reveals Its Subjection
Hell is not acting independently.
Hell is not resisting.
Hell is following.
This reveals subjection.
Submission.
Defeat.
Hell follows because Hell has no choice.
Christ has already conquered it.
Now He is executing its removal.
Hell follows because Hell is being brought to its end.
Hell Is Being Led to Its Final Destruction
Revelation later reveals the final outcome:
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.”
— Revelation 20:14
Death is cast in.
Hell is cast in.
Both are removed.
Both are destroyed.
Both cease to exist.
The lake of fire is not their kingdom.
It is their end.
The Rider on the pale green horse is leading them there.
Hell follows Him—
To its destruction.
Hell Cannot Survive the Presence of Life
Hell exists only where Life is absent.
Where Life enters—
Hell disappears.
This is why Jesus declared:
“The gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
— Matthew 16:18
Hell has gates.
But those gates cannot withstand Life.
Life breaks through.
Life invades.
Life conquers.
Life replaces.
Hell collapses.
This Is the Collapse of Adam’s Entire Realm
Hell represents the full system of Adam’s fall.
Fear.
Separation.
Bondage.
Corruption.
Mortality.
Christ is not merely removing symptoms.
He is removing the entire system.
Hell follows Him because Hell is being dismantled.
Hell follows Him because Hell is losing its existence.
Hell follows Him because Hell has already lost its authority.
The Pale Green Horse Completes What the Cross Began
The Cross was the legal victory.
The Fourth Seal is the manifested victory.
Christ legally conquered death at the Cross.
Christ manifests that conquest through His appearing.
Death rides—
To destroy death.
Hell follows—
To be destroyed with it.
This fulfills Hosea’s prophecy:
“O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction.”
— Hosea 13:14
Christ becomes death’s plague.
Christ becomes Hell’s destruction.
Christ becomes the end of both.
Hell Following Him Reveals Christ’s Absolute Dominion
Nothing escapes His authority.
Not death.
Not Hell.
Not any realm.
All follow Him.
All submit to Him.
All are brought under Him.
This fulfills Paul’s declaration:
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…”
— Philippians 2:10
Even death bows.
Even Hell bows.
Even the grave bows.
Christ reigns over all.
The Final Outcome Is Already Determined
Death cannot win.
Hell cannot survive.
Christ has already prevailed.
The pale green horse reveals the execution of that victory.
Death rides—
To its own destruction.
Hell follows—
To its own end.
Life alone remains.
Christ alone reigns.
Chapter 8
Power Was Given Unto Them: The Authority of Christ to Remove Death From the Earth
Power Was Given Unto Them
The Fourth Seal continues with a declaration of authority:
“…and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
— Revelation 6:8
Power was given.
Not taken.
Not seized.
Given.
This is delegated authority.
This reveals that the Rider on the pale green horse is not acting independently.
He is acting under the authority of the Throne.
Everything happening here proceeds from divine government.
Nothing here is outside Christ’s control.
The Authority Originates From the Throne
The Rider does not possess authority inherently in this vision.
He receives it.
This confirms the order already established:
The Throne governs.
The Lamb opens the seal.
The Rider executes the operation.
This aligns perfectly with Jesus’ own declaration:
“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
— Matthew 28:18
Christ operates under the authority of the Father.
Christ executes the will of the Throne.
Christ administers the removal of death by divine commission.
“Unto Them” Reveals the Union Between Christ and His Administration
The phrase says:
Power was given unto them.
Not Him alone.
Them.
This reveals union.
Christ and His administration function as one.
Christ the Head.
Christ expressed through His body.
Christ and His corporate operation.
This fulfills Paul’s revelation:
“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body…”
— Ephesians 1:22–23
His authority flows through His administration.
His authority operates through His expression.
His authority removes death through His appearing.
Authority Is Given “Over the Fourth Part of the Earth”
This phrase reveals scope.
It reveals progression.
It reveals measured administration.
The fourth part represents a defined portion.
Not random.
Not chaotic.
Precise.
Ordered.
Measured.
This aligns with the principle already revealed in the balances of the Third Seal.
Everything operates by divine measure.
Everything unfolds according to divine timing.
Nothing happens prematurely.
Nothing happens accidentally.
Christ removes death according to divine order.
“The Earth” Represents the Realm Where Death Operates
Earth here represents more than physical ground.
It represents the realm where Adam’s nature operates.
Scripture confirms this pattern:
“The first man is of the earth, earthy.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:47
Earth represents the Adamic man.
The natural man.
The mortal realm.
Christ is given authority over this realm.
Authority to remove death from it.
Authority to replace Adam with Himself.
The Authority to Kill Reveals the Removal of Death’s Nature
This verse declares four instruments:
Sword.
Hunger.
Death.
Beasts.
These are not random weapons.
They are functions of Christ’s operation to remove death.
Christ kills death itself.
Christ destroys what death produced.
Christ removes death’s system.
This fulfills Paul’s declaration:
“For if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”
— Romans 8:13
Mortify means to put to death.
Christ puts death to death.
Christ removes the source of death.
Christ replaces death with Life.
The Sword Represents the Word That Separates Life and Death
The sword represents the Word of God.
Hebrews declares:
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword…”
— Hebrews 4:12
The Word divides.
The Word exposes.
The Word removes.
Christ uses the sword to destroy death’s authority.
The sword removes the lie.
The sword establishes truth.
The sword removes Adam.
The sword reveals Christ.
Hunger Represents the Removal of Death’s Sustenance
Death survives on corruption.
Death feeds on the fallen nature.
Christ removes its supply.
He removes what sustains death.
This fulfills Amos’ prophecy:
“Behold, the days come… that I will send a famine… of hearing the words of the LORD.”
— Amos 8:11
This famine removes false sustenance.
This hunger removes what feeds death.
Christ removes death’s source.
Christ replaces it with Himself as Life.
Death Is Destroyed by Death
This verse declares:
Power was given to kill with death.
This reveals a profound mystery.
Death itself becomes the instrument of death’s destruction.
This fulfills Paul’s revelation:
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”
— 1 Corinthians 15:55
Christ entered death.
Christ conquered death.
Christ now uses death’s own domain to destroy it completely.
Death becomes the instrument of its own end.
The Beasts Represent the Final Removal of Adam’s Nature
Beasts represent the natural man.
The untamed nature.
The Adamic condition.
Scripture confirms this symbolism:
“But these… as natural brute beasts…”
— 2 Peter 2:12
Christ removes the beast nature.
Christ removes the Adamic identity.
Christ replaces it with divine nature.
This fulfills Peter’s declaration:
“That ye might be partakers of the divine nature…”
— 2 Peter 1:4
The beast dies.
Christ lives.
The natural man ends.
The spiritual man emerges.
This Authority Completes the Removal of Death
This authority is not symbolic.
It is operational.
Christ is actively removing death.
Actively removing Hell.
Actively removing Adam.
This fulfills the final declaration of Scripture:
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26
Death is not preserved.
Death is destroyed.
Death is not reformed.
Death is removed.
The Pale Green Horse Executes Christ’s Absolute Victory
The pale green horse is not the rise of death.
It is the execution of death’s destruction.
Christ appears as Life.
Christ appears as Death to death.
Christ appears as the One who removes death from the earth.
Power was given unto Him.
Power to complete the victory.
Power to finish the work.
Power to establish Life.
The Outcome Is Certain
Death cannot resist Him.
Hell cannot escape Him.
Adam cannot survive Him.
Christ has authority over all.
Christ executes the will of the Throne.
Christ establishes Life where death once reigned.
The authority has been given.
The victory is being manifested.
Death is being removed.
Life is being established.
Chapter 9
The Fourth Part of the Earth: The Progressive Removal of Death and the Emergence of Life
The Fourth Part Reveals Divine Order, Not Random Destruction
The Fourth Seal specifies the scope of Christ’s operation:
“…power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth…”
— Revelation 6:8
This phrase is precise.
It is not vague.
It is not symbolic of chaos.
It reveals order.
It reveals measure.
It reveals progression.
Christ does not act randomly.
Christ acts deliberately.
Christ removes death according to divine administration.
The fourth part reveals that this is a progressive operation.
Not instantaneous.
Not chaotic.
Ordered.
Measured.
Purposeful.
Four Represents Completion of Earthly Process
The number four consistently represents the created realm.
Four winds.
Four corners of the earth.
Four living creatures connected to creation.
Four represents the fullness of the earthly domain.
This reveals that Christ’s operation in the Fourth Seal is directed toward the created realm.
Toward man.
Toward the Adamic condition.
Toward the realm where death has reigned.
Christ is not destroying creation.
Christ is liberating creation.
The Fourth Part Reveals Progressive Conquest
This is not yet the final completion.
This is progressive removal.
Christ removes death step by step.
Phase by phase.
Seal by seal.
Paul confirms this progressive order:
“For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:25
Reign is progressive.
Subjection is progressive.
Victory unfolds in divine order.
The Fourth Seal represents a phase of that victory.
Death is being removed progressively from creation.
Creation Itself Is the Target of This Operation
Paul revealed that creation is waiting for this exact moment:
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
— Romans 8:19
Creation is waiting.
Creation is groaning.
Creation is under death’s bondage.
But Christ’s appearing releases creation from death’s authority.
The Fourth Seal is part of that release.
Christ removes death from the created realm.
This Operation Targets the Adamic Identity
The earth represents the Adamic man.
The mortal man.
The fallen identity.
Scripture declares:
“As we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:49
Christ removes the earthy image.
Christ establishes the heavenly image.
This is not the destruction of man.
This is the transformation of man.
This is the replacement of Adam with Christ.
Death’s Removal Begins Within the Vessel
This operation does not begin outwardly.
It begins inwardly.
Death is first removed from within man.
Paul declared:
“The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”
— Romans 8:2
Freedom from death begins within.
Christ establishes Life within the vessel.
Christ removes death from the inner man.
Christ establishes His throne within.
This is the beginning of death’s removal.
The Fourth Part Reveals the First Phase of Visible Manifestation
This phrase reveals something important.
The process has moved beyond foundation.
It has moved beyond identification.
It has moved beyond measurement.
It has moved into execution.
Christ is now actively removing death.
Actively removing Hell.
Actively establishing Life.
This is the beginning of visible manifestation.
This is the beginning of death’s visible defeat.
This Aligns With the Pattern of Firstfruits
Scripture consistently reveals that God moves through firstfruits.
James declared:
“That we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”
— James 1:18
Firstfruits represent the beginning of harvest.
Firstfruits reveal what is coming.
Firstfruits demonstrate the final outcome.
Christ removes death progressively.
Beginning with firstfruits.
Extending to fullness.
This is divine order.
The Fourth Part Reveals the Certainty of Full Completion
Though this verse speaks of a fourth part, it reveals the certainty of total victory.
Christ’s victory does not stop at one part.
Christ completes His work.
Paul declared the final outcome:
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:22
Death entered universally.
Life will be established universally.
The Fourth Seal reveals the beginning of that universal victory.
Death’s Removal Prepares the Way for Full Manifestation
Christ removes death to establish Life.
Christ removes corruption to establish incorruption.
Christ removes mortality to establish immortality.
This fulfills Paul’s declaration:
“This mortal must put on immortality.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:53
Death cannot remain.
Death must be removed.
Life must replace it.
This is the purpose of the Fourth Seal.
This Operation Leads Directly to the Redemption of the Body
The removal of death ultimately reaches the physical body.
Paul declared:
“…waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”
— Romans 8:23
The redemption of the body is the final visible sign.
The final evidence.
The final manifestation of Christ’s victory.
The Fourth Seal prepares the way for this moment.
Death is removed.
Life is revealed.
Christ is manifested fully.
The Fourth Seal Is the Beginning of Death’s Final End
This is not symbolic language alone.
This is operational language.
Christ is removing death from the earth.
Christ is establishing Life in its place.
Christ is fulfilling His victory.
Death’s reign is ending.
Life’s reign is beginning.
This is the progressive unfolding of Christ’s triumph.
Creation Moves Toward Complete Liberation
The Fourth Seal reveals the certainty of creation’s liberation.
Death cannot remain.
Hell cannot survive.
Adam cannot continue.
Christ replaces all.
Christ fulfills all.
Christ becomes all.
This fulfills the ultimate declaration:
“That God may be all in all.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:28
This is where the Fourth Seal is leading.
This is where Christ’s operation is bringing creation.
Toward Life.
Toward fullness.
Toward Himself.
Chapter 10
Death Is Swallowed Up in Victory: The Final Enemy Destroyed and the Emergence of Immortal Life
The Fourth Seal Reveals the Beginning of Death’s Final Destruction
The pale / green horse revealed Christ appearing as Death to destroy death.
This was not the end of the process.
It was the beginning of the final phase.
Scripture declares plainly:
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:26
Death is not reformed.
Death is not managed.
Death is destroyed.
The Fourth Seal reveals Christ beginning that destruction.
The Rider named Death is the One who abolishes death itself.
Death Is Not Eternal — Life Is Eternal
Death entered creation through Adam.
Death was never God’s final purpose.
Paul revealed this clearly:
“For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:21
Death came through Adam.
Life comes through Christ.
Death was temporary.
Life is permanent.
The Fourth Seal reveals the transition point.
Death begins to lose its dominion.
Life begins to establish its dominion.
The Final Outcome Is Victory, Not Coexistence
Death and Life do not coexist forever.
Life overcomes death.
Scripture declares the final outcome:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:54
Swallowed up.
Consumed.
Removed.
This is the nature of Christ’s appearing.
Christ does not negotiate with death.
Christ abolishes death.
Christ replaces death.
Christ Already Holds Authority Over Death and Hell
The Fourth Seal reveals Christ exercising authority He already possesses.
Jesus declared:
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
— Revelation 1:18
Christ holds the keys.
Christ holds authority.
Christ governs death.
Christ governs Hell.
The Fourth Seal reveals Him exercising that authority in creation.
Death’s removal is not future possibility.
Death’s removal is divine certainty.
The Resurrection of Christ Is the Foundation of Death’s Destruction
Death’s destruction began at the resurrection.
Paul declared:
“Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.”
— Romans 6:9
Death lost its authority over Christ.
Christ now removes death’s authority from creation.
The Fourth Seal reveals that removal.
What began in Christ extends into His people.
What began in resurrection extends into manifestation.
Immortality Is the Final Expression of Christ’s Victory
Christ’s victory over death leads to immortality.
Paul declared:
“Who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
— 2 Timothy 1:10
Immortality is not human invention.
Immortality is Christ’s life revealed.
Immortality is death fully removed.
Immortality is Life fully established.
The Fourth Seal reveals the path to immortality.
The Redemption of the Body Is the Visible Sign of Victory
Paul revealed the unmistakable sign of death’s destruction:
“…waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”
— Romans 8:23
The redemption of the body is the visible manifestation.
The visible evidence.
The visible proof.
Death removed.
Life revealed.
Christ manifested fully.
This fulfills the full victory.
The Fourth Seal Reveals Christ Establishing Immortal Life in Creation
The pale / green horse reveals Life advancing.
Life replacing death.
Life establishing dominion.
This fulfills Paul’s declaration:
“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:53
Corruption ends.
Mortality ends.
Immortality begins.
Christ establishes His Life fully.
Hell Itself Is Ultimately Removed
Death and Hell do not remain forever.
Scripture declares their final end:
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
— Revelation 20:14
Death ends.
Hell ends.
Their authority ends.
Their existence ends.
Christ removes them completely.
The Fourth Seal reveals the beginning of that removal.
The Pale / Green Horse Leads Directly to the Full Manifestation of Life
The Rider named Death completes His work.
Death is destroyed.
Hell is destroyed.
Life is established.
Christ is revealed fully.
This fulfills the ultimate declaration of Scripture:
“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
— Colossians 3:4
Christ appears.
Life appears.
Immortality appears.
Death disappears.
The Final Outcome: God All in All
The destruction of death leads to the final fulfillment of God’s purpose.
Paul declared:
“And when all things shall be subdued unto him… that God may be all in all.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:28
This is the final outcome.
Death removed.
Life established.
Christ revealed.
Creation restored.
God all in all.
The Fourth Seal Reveals the Certainty of Christ’s Complete Victory
The pale / green horse is not a symbol of defeat.
It is a symbol of victory.
It reveals Christ abolishing death.
It reveals Christ removing Hell.
It reveals Christ establishing immortal Life.
The Rider named Death has completed His mission.
Death has been destroyed.
Life reigns.
Christ reigns.
Forever.
