11. King Over Them: Abaddon/Apollyon

Meaning: These are doctrines, lies, and fear-based messages released like spiritual poison, designed to kill faith, distort truth, and enslave minds.

Meaning: Even after all this spiritual shaking, many still cling to idols, sorcery, fornication, and lies — rejecting the true voice of God.

The Fifth Trumpet: A Deeper Dealings in the Spirit
With the fifth angel’s trumpet, we shift from external shakings (earthquakes, thunders, natural images) to inner torment, deception, and unveiling of hidden spiritual forces. This trumpet opens up the deep things in man — the false foundations, the counterfeit religious spirit, the soulish torment that has long been sealed away.
This is the beginning of a deeper level of exposure and deliverance.
A Star Fallen from Heaven to the Earth
This “star” is not an astronomical event — it is symbolic. In Scripture, stars often represent:
Messengers (Rev. 1:20)
Angelic beings (Rev. 12:4)
Leaders or voices of influence
This fallen star speaks of:
A being sent on assignment by God (not fallen in rebellion here — but descending with permission)
A messenger — possibly angelic — sent to unlock a realm previously restrained
This is not satan being cast down — this is a divine operation initiated by the trumpet of God.
To Him Was Given the Key of the Bottomless Pit
The key is not seized — it is given. This is under divine authority.
God Himself is authorizing a release — not to destroy, but to expose, refine, and purge.
This “bottomless pit” is the abyss — the deep, dark realm where hidden spiritual forces reside, often influencing religious systems, carnal minds, and deception from behind the scenes.
What Does This Symbol Mean for the Elect?
This trumpet calls the Elect to understand that God sometimes unlocks things in the soul to expose what needs to be burned out.
The key releases what has been hidden
The fire will reveal what has been tolerated
The star comes to activate a deeper season of exposure and purification
Seeing Jesus in the Fifth Trumpet
Even in this dark scene — Jesus is still center:
He authorizes the release
He holds the greater key (Rev. 1:18)
He is Lord over even the abyss
He is not punishing the righteous, but exposing deception and birthing freedom
This is Christ cleansing His temple — starting from within, not without.
The fifth trumpet is a call to the overcomers to discern the inner war — and rise above deception, torment, and religious confusion by hearing the true voice of the Spirit.
2. THE BOTTOMLESS PIT OPENED, AND SMOKE ASCENDED
“And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.”

What Is the Bottomless Pit?
This is not a hole in the dirt. The “bottomless pit” is symbolic of the abyss, the depth of soulish, religious, and demonic deception — the unseen world where twisted ideologies, oppressive doctrines, and counterfeit spiritual forces are housed until released.
When the pit is opened:
It doesn’t release monsters — it releases smoke
Not fire first — but obscurity, confusion, and spiritual suffocation
Smoke as the First Manifestation
“…there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace…”
Smoke represents:
Darkened understanding
Religious confusion
Blinding deception
Doctrines of men mingled with spirits of devils
The furnace implies that this smoke is artificial fire — strange fire, not from the altar of God, but from the fiery systems of false religion and corrupted knowledge.
The Sun and Air Were Darkened
This is symbolic of:

Where smoke rises, vision is lost and breath is choked — this is a religious environment where:
The truth is clouded
The Spirit is grieved
The masses are deceived
This is what happens when Christ is no longer the central revelation — when religion and tradition release their smoke and darken the skies of understanding.
Message for the Elect Church
This is a prophetic warning — not to run in fear, but to rise in discernment.
The Elect must:
Breathe the clean air of the Spirit
Stay in the sunlight of the Lamb
Reject the smoke of man-made religion
Seek only the fire from the golden altar
The Spirit of Christ brings clarity…
The smoke of the pit brings confusion.
Seeing Jesus in the Midst of the Smoke
Even here — Jesus is not absent. He is:
The One who allowed the pit to open

The One calling His saints to rise above the haze
The One whose true fire clears the atmosphere
This trumpet reveals the counterfeit, so the true light of Christ can shine brighter in the Elect.
3. LOCUSTS CAME OUT OF THE SMOKE UPON THE EARTH
“And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”
Revelation 9:3
Spiritual Symbol: Religious Spirits Released Through False Doctrine

The Source of the Locusts Is the Smoke
The locusts don’t come from heaven…
They don’t even come directly from the pit.
They emerge from the smoke.

These are not insects — these are spiritual forces, false ideologies, religious mindsets and oppressive doctrines that rise from polluted teaching and darkened vision.
They’re Not Normal Locusts — They Are Like Horses for Battle

They are militant spirits, empowered to wage war in the soul realm
This is not physical war — this is mental, emotional, and spiritual torment, often through religious confusion.
Power as Scorpions of the Earth
This is where the torment begins.
The power given to these spirits is not to kill, but to sting — like a scorpion. In the Bible, scorpions symbolize:
Demonic torment
False authority (Luke 10:19)
Painful correction without healing
Relentless oppression
Their poison enters slowly — not all at once. They bring:
Doctrinal torment
Religious guilt
Hopeless striving
Mental heaviness with no freedom
The Message to the Elect
This is a prophetic picture of a religious system that:
Looks spiritual (like horses prepared for battle)
Speaks of victory (but offers bondage)
Promises transformation (but delivers torment)
Claims truth (but produces confusion)
The Elect must discern the source:
These are not God’s locusts (like in Joel)
These are pit-born, smoke-birthed, soul-wounding spirits of false religion and carnal Christianity
Seeing Jesus in the Midst of the Locusts
Christ is not the tormentor — He is the Liberator.
This trumpet:
Exposes the counterfeit
Shakes the false altars
Reveals what has been long tolerated
Calls the Elect out of mixture
He’s not just showing you what’s wrong — He’s calling you into what’s true.
The locusts are real — but so is the Lamb. And the Lamb gives power to the overcomers to tread on scorpions and serpents.
4. AND ON THEIR HEADS WERE CROWNS LIKE GOLD
“…and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.”
Revelation 9:7
Spiritual Symbol: False Authority & Counterfeit Leadership
Color Symbolism: Fool’s Gold — outward beauty with no inner worth; Bronze-tinged Glory — human imitation of divine order
Crowns “Like Gold” — But Not Gold
This phrase is crucial. These aren’t real crowns. They only appear to be:
“Like gold”
“As it were crowns”
This is false rulership, imitation anointing, and counterfeit spiritual dominion. It’s a prophetic symbol of:
Ministries that claim kingdom power, but walk in fleshly authority
Systems that look glorious, but lack the presence
Leaders who are anointed by men, not by God
Faces Like Men — Humanity at the Center
They have “the faces of men” — meaning:
Their focus is earthly, not heavenly
Their wisdom is natural, not spiritual
Their doctrine centers man, not Christ
This is religion that sounds good, looks powerful, and draws multitudes, but it exalts human charisma over divine character.
The Message to the Elect
The Elect must discern:
Not all crowns are from heaven
Not all power is kingdom power
Not all glory is Shekinah — some is borrowed light
These locust-like spirits wear crowns that mimic kingdom authority, but they rule from the pit, not the throne.
Seeing Jesus in the Midst of the Imitation
Jesus is:
The true King wearing many crowns (Rev. 19:12)
The light of the world — not a golden mimic
The Head of the body, not a face of man
This symbol drives the point home: Christ does not share His glory with flesh.
For the Overcomers
This trumpet is preparing you to:
Judge righteously
Discern spiritual authority
Refuse the false and receive the true
Wear the incorruptible crown of those who reign in the Lamb
The Elect must rise up — not wearing “crowns like gold,” but crowned with the nature of Christ, ruling in meekness, wisdom, and fire from above.
5. HAIR LIKE WOMEN, TEETH LIKE LIONS
“…and they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.”

Spiritual Symbol: Seduction Mixed with Devouring Authority

Hair Like Women – Symbol of Seduction & Manipulation
In scripture, a woman’s hair often symbolizes glory, beauty, and covering. But in prophetic language, this can also point to:
Deceptive allure
Religious seduction
Spiritual Jezebel systems that charm, flatter, and ensnare souls
This is not the Bride of Christ — this is the harlot system pretending to be spiritual, while seducing the hearts of the undiscerning.
These locust-like spirits present softness, gentleness, and false grace — yet…
Teeth Like Lions – Ferocious, Ruthless, Soul-Devouring
Though they appear soft and harmless, their bite is deadly. The lion’s teeth speak of:
Power to consume
Authority to devour
Spiritual abuse disguised as leadership
Legalism and condemnation beneath the veil of charm
This dual imagery reveals a two-faced system:
It draws people in with tenderness (“hair like women”)
Then torments them with legalism, fear, and bondage (“teeth like lions”)
The Message for the Elect Church
You must learn to discern what you’re being fed.
Ask:
Is this message alluring but powerless?
Is this ministry gentle in speech but devouring in practice?
Is this system using beauty to blind — and teeth to control?
The Elect are not deceived by external beauty — they judge by the Spirit.
Seeing Jesus in the Midst of the Deception
Jesus is:
The true Lion of Judah — His roar brings life, not torment
The true Bridegroom — who beautifies His Bride, not seduces her
The One who opens His mouth with truth, not manipulation
He is not charming — He is holy.
He is not seductive — He is sovereign.
He doesn’t devour His sheep — He feeds and delivers them.
For the Overcomers
The Elect are being trained to:
Unmask the harlot spirit
Resist charm and flattery
Expose spiritual abuse hidden in soft tones
And rise in the true roar of the Lion of Judah!
6. BREASTPLATES OF IRON
“…and they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron…”
Revelation 9:9
Spiritual Symbol: Hardened Hearts, Unyielding Mindsets, and Carnal Defense Mechanisms
Color Symbolism: Dull Gray or Iron Black — strength without softness, protection without purity, authority without love
Iron Breastplates — What Do They Represent?
These aren’t righteous breastplates. They’re not like the breastplate of righteousness from Ephesians 6. These are iron-clad coverings — rigid, unyielding, cold and unspiritual.
They symbolize:
Doctrinal hardness
Unteachable spirits
Dogmatic religious systems
Cold-hearted leadership that resists the Spirit
Where love should shield the heart, these creatures are armored with iron — unable to receive or give mercy, correction, or the living word.
Iron Points to Carnal Strength and Fleshly Armor
Iron in scripture is often symbolic of:
Empires of men (as in Nebuchadnezzar’s image — Dan. 2)
Harsh rule and natural dominion
Unbroken minds and systems that resist heaven’s order
These spiritual locusts are wearing man-made armor, not Spirit-forged righteousness.
Message for the Elect Church
This is a warning to the saints:
Not all who look armored are armored in God.
Ask:
Is this armor from the Spirit or from man?
Is this a defense of truth, or a defense of control?
Is this protection, or just pride masquerading as faith?
The Elect must put off the iron and wear the golden breastplate of righteousness, forged in the fire of the Spirit.
Seeing Jesus in Contrast
Jesus doesn’t wear iron — He wears righteousness, love, and faithfulness.
His armor doesn’t repel people — it redeems them
His chest is covered with the love of the Father — not iron pride
His voice doesn’t clash like steel — it draws with truth and tenderness
For the Overcomers
You are called to:
Remove any man-forged armor
Guard your heart with truth and mercy, not bitterness
Stand in spiritual strength, not emotional coldness
Real authority doesn’t harden — it heals.
Real breastplates are forged by righteousness, not religious iron.
CONCLUSION: THE TRUMPET OF UNCOVERING — EXPOSING RELIGIOUS TORMENT AND REVEALING THE TRIUMPH OF THE LAMB
Revelation 9 is not merely a prophecy about judgment — it’s a spiritual unveiling of what happens when religion without life is unleashed upon the souls of men.
It is not Christ bringing torment — it is the exposing of torment already alive in the earth through false systems, man-made ministries, and soulish doctrines. The fifth trumpet sounds to reveal:
A pit opened by spiritual compromise
A smoke that blinds the eyes of the carnal-minded
An army of seductive, devouring, counterfeit locusts sent to torment but not kill
This is not about insects from the sky. It’s about ideologies, religious traditions, and doctrines of devils masquerading as truth — invading the church, darkening vision, tormenting hearts, and stealing the light of Christ from within.
But for the Elect… This is a Revelation!
The Elect are not deceived by:
Crowns like gold
Breastplates of iron
Sweet hair and fierce teeth
Thunderous noise and external power
They see through it all.
They hear another trumpet sounding in their spirit — a call to discernment, to separation from the harlot, and to union with the Lamb.
Jesus in the Midst of the Locusts
Even here — Christ is revealed.
He is not hidden — He is shining in contrast to every false symbol:
He wears real crowns, not imitations
He carries true authority, not borrowed voices
He roars with truth, not torment
He builds with love, not legalism
He defends with righteousness, not iron will
The Invitation to the Overcomers
To those who have ears to hear, the trumpet in Revelation 9 is a call to rise:
Rise out of deception
Rise out of man’s religion
Rise out of torment and false fire
Rise into the mind of Christ
Rise into the ministry of the Lamb
You were never called to wear crowns like gold — but to wear the incorruptible crown of life.
You were never called to sting others — but to heal nations.
You were never called to be armored in iron — but in the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord.
