🔍
The Gospel of Grace — Living by the Faith of God reveals the biblical truth that faith is not produced by human effort but given by God through grace, grown as fruit by the Spirit, and established through Christ within the believer. This book answers one of the most important questions in Scripture: is faith something we create, or something God supplies? Through a full counsel approach, this teaching connects key passages such as Galatians 2:20, Ephesians 2:8–9, Romans 10:17, and Romans 4:21 to show that we live not by our own faith, but by the faith of God. Covering themes such as mustard seed faith, unshakable faith, fully persuaded faith, and faith confirmed by many infallible proofs, this book provides clarity, balance, and deep understanding for believers seeking to walk in the fullness of the Gospel of Grace.

📖 Gospel of Grace: INTRODUCTION
There is a question that has quietly followed the believer through generations:
Where does faith actually come from?
Is it something we are responsible to produce…
or something God has already given?
Scripture speaks in ways that, at first glance, seem to point in different directions. Jesus looks at a woman and says, “Thy faith hath made thee whole.” Paul declares, “The life which I now live… I live by the faith of the Son of God.” One passage tells us to believe. Another reveals that faith is the gift of God.
So which is it?
Is faith ours… or is it His?
This book is written to answer that question — not partially, but fully.
For too long, many have lived under the pressure of trying to generate faith, sustain faith, or increase faith through effort, discipline, or striving. Others, seeing that faith is given by grace, have struggled to understand why Scripture also speaks of growing, strengthening, and being fully persuaded in faith.
The result has often been confusion, imbalance, or mixture.
But the truth is not found in choosing one side over the other — it is found in seeing the whole.
Faith is given by grace.
Faith is planted as a seed.
Faith grows as fruit through the Spirit.
Faith becomes unshakable as Christ is formed within.
And faith is brought into full persuasion through the undeniable revelation of God Himself.
In other words, we do not live by a faith that begins with us.
We live by the faith of God.
This book will walk through the Scriptures step by step — from the words of Jesus, to the writings of Paul, to the testimony of Abraham, and into the experience of the believer — to reveal one consistent thread:
God is the source of faith from beginning to end.
Yet, in His wisdom and grace, He allows man to receive it, walk in it, grow in it, and even speak of it as his own.
This is not contradiction.
This is divine design.
As you read, the aim is not to place another burden on you — but to remove one.
Not to call you to strive harder — but to see clearer.
Not to push you into effort — but to establish you in truth.
For when the source of faith is seen clearly, the struggle to produce it comes to an end.
And what remains is a life lived not by human strength…
but by the faith of God Himself.
📖 Chapter 1 — The Gift of Faith: Given by Grace
Faith Begins Where Man Cannot Produce
There is a foundational truth that must be established at the very beginning of this journey:
Faith does not begin with man.
Before faith can ever be expressed, grown, or even understood, it must first be given. This is where the Gospel of Grace separates itself from every system built on human effort. For if faith originates in man, then man has reason to boast. But if faith is given by God, then all glory returns to Him.
The question is not whether faith is necessary—the question is:
Where does it come from?
The Scripture That Settles the Matter
Ephesians 2:8–9
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
This passage does not leave room for debate.
Faith is:
- not of yourselves
- not produced by works
- not generated by effort
Faith is:
the gift of God
This means that before man ever believes, God has already given the ability to believe.
Faith Given, Not Achieved
Romans 12:3
“…according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
Faith is not discovered by man—it is dealt by God.
The language of Scripture is precise. It does not say that man finds faith, builds faith, or earns faith. It says that God has dealt it, distributed it, and given it according to His own will.
This removes the burden of trying to manufacture belief.
Faith is not something you struggle to create—it is something you have received.
Obtained Faith: Received Through Righteousness
2 Peter 1:1
“…to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:”
The word obtained reveals something powerful.
Faith is not:
- self-originated
- self-developed
- self-sustained
Faith is:
received through the righteousness of God
This means that faith is tied directly to what God has done—not what man has done.
Even the Desire to Believe Is Given
Philippians 1:29
“For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ… to believe on him…”
Belief itself is described as something granted.
This goes deeper than many realize. Not only is faith given—but even the capacity to believe is something God supplies. This removes all boasting and establishes God as the source from the very beginning.
Christ: The Author and Finisher of Faith
Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”
This verse brings the matter to its full conclusion.
Jesus is not only involved in faith—He is:
- the author (the beginning)
- the finisher (the completion)
This means:
At no point does faith originate in man.
From its first spark to its final maturity:
Faith is God’s work from beginning to end
Why This Truth Matters
If faith begins with man, then man must sustain it.
If faith is produced by effort, then doubt becomes failure and weakness becomes condemnation.
But if faith is given by God, then everything changes.
- There is no boasting
- There is no striving to create
- There is no pressure to perform
There is only:
receiving what has already been given
The End of Striving
Many have lived under the weight of trying to “have more faith.”
They have prayed for it, chased it, and even condemned themselves for not feeling like they had enough.
But the truth is not that faith is missing.
The truth is that faith has already been given.
The issue is not supply—it is understanding.
A New Foundation
When this truth is seen clearly, the foundation of the believer’s life shifts.
Faith is no longer:
- a personal achievement
- a spiritual performance
- a measure of human effort
Faith becomes:
a divine gift received by grace
Declaration — The Gift That Begins It All
Faith is not something I produce.
Faith is not something I earn.
Faith is not something I sustain.
Faith has been given to me by God.
And because it is given, I receive it freely—
without striving, without fear, and without boasting.
Call to Action — Receive What Has Already Been Given
Do not search for faith as though it were missing.
Do not strive to create what God has already supplied.
Instead, receive.
Rest in the truth that the faith you need
did not originate in you—and therefore
does not depend on you.
Let this be the beginning of a new way of living:
Not by human effort…
but by the faith of God.
📖 Chapter 2 — The Measure of Faith: Distributed by God
Faith Is Not Equal in Expression, But Equal in Source
Having established that faith is given by grace, we now move into a deeper layer of understanding:
Faith is not only given…
it is measured and distributed by God Himself.
This explains why faith can be experienced differently among people, yet still originate from the same divine source.
The variation is not in who creates it—but in how God has dealt it.
God Deals the Measure
Romans 12:3
“…according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
This verse is precise and intentional.
It does not say:
- man discovered faith
- man increased faith on his own
- man generated faith internally
It says:
God hath dealt the measure of faith
This means:
- faith is assigned
- faith is distributed
- faith is given according to God’s order
The Measure Removes Comparison
If faith is dealt by God, then comparison between men loses its power.
No one can boast in having more.
No one should condemn themselves for having less.
Why?
Because:
the measure did not originate with them
1 Corinthians 4:7
“For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive?”
Everything that is received—including faith—comes from God.
This destroys pride and removes insecurity at the same time.
God Is the Giver of Every Portion
Matthew 25:15
“And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability…”
While this speaks of talents, it reveals a consistent pattern:
God distributes according to His wisdom.
This same principle applies to faith:
God gives according to His purpose—not human effort
Nothing Can Be Received Apart From Him
John 3:27
“A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.”
This is one of the clearest statements in all Scripture.
Nothing means nothing.
If faith is present, it is because:
it was given from heaven
Faith Is Not Earned Through Desire
Many assume that a strong desire for faith will produce it.
But desire does not create supply.
Faith is not the result of:
- emotional intensity
- repeated effort
- mental determination
Faith is the result of:
divine distribution
Hearing and Receiving What Is Given
Luke 8:18
“Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given…”
This verse shows how faith operates after it is given.
There is:
- an initial measure
- and then an ongoing increase
But even the increase is not self-generated.
It is still:
given
Stewardship, Not Production
This chapter is not denying growth—it is clarifying origin.
Man does not produce faith.
Man stewards what is given.
There is a difference between:
- trying to create something
- and learning to walk in what has been received
Why This Truth Matters
If faith is measured and distributed by God:
- striving is removed
- comparison is silenced
- boasting is eliminated
- insecurity is healed
The believer is brought into rest, knowing:
God has already supplied what is needed
A Kingdom Built on Receiving
The Kingdom of God does not operate on self-production.
It operates on receiving.
Faith is not an achievement—it is an allocation from heaven.
And because it is given by God:
it is perfectly suited for His purpose in you.
Declaration — The Measure Comes From God
The faith I walk in was not self-created.
It was given, measured, and assigned by God.
I do not compare, compete, or condemn myself.
I receive what has been dealt and walk in it fully.
For the measure I have
came from the hand of God.
Call to Action — Walk in What Has Been Dealt
Stop looking at what others have.
Stop questioning whether you have enough.
Instead, turn your attention to what has already been placed within you.
Receive it.
Walk in it.
Grow in it.
Not by striving to create more—
but by faithfully stewarding what God has given.
This is how the life of faith begins to take shape:
Not by human effort…
but by divine distribution.
📖 Chapter 3 — Faith as a Mustard Seed: Planted, Not Produced
Faith Begins as Something Living, Not Something Finished
Having seen that faith is given by grace and distributed by God, we now come to one of the most misunderstood teachings of Jesus:
Faith is like a seed.
Not a finished structure.
Not a full-grown tree.
But something small, living, and designed to grow.
This changes everything.
Because a seed is not something you produce…
It is something you receive.
The Words of Jesus: Faith as a Seed
Matthew 17:20
“If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Luke 17:6
“If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed… it should obey you…”
Jesus did not say:
- “If you had great faith”
- “If you had strong faith”
- “If you had more faith”
He said:
“If you had faith as a seed”
A Seed Is Given, Not Created
A seed does not originate from the soil.
It is placed into the soil.
In the same way:
Faith does not originate in man.
It is:
planted within man by God
James 1:21
“…receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.”
The Word is described as something engrafted—planted, inserted, placed within.
Faith and the Word are inseparable.
Where the Word is planted, faith begins to live.
The Nature of a Seed
A seed has three defining characteristics:
- It is alive
- It is small in appearance
- It contains everything needed to grow
This means that when God gives faith, He does not give a finished result.
He gives:
a living beginning
The Kingdom Pattern: Seed to Harvest
Mark 4:26–28
“So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground…
first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.”
Jesus reveals the divine order:
- Seed
- Growth
- Full manifestation
Faith follows this same pattern.
God Gives the Seed—God Gives the Increase
1 Corinthians 3:6–7
“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”
Even after the seed is planted, the increase does not come from man.
It comes from:
God
Why Small Faith Is Not Weak Faith
Many have been discouraged because their faith feels small.
But Jesus never rebuked small beginnings.
He revealed their power.
A mustard seed may appear insignificant…
But it carries within it the potential for something far greater than its size.
The issue is not how small the seed looks.
The issue is:
whether the seed is alive
Faith Does Not Need to Be Increased—It Needs to Grow
There is a difference between:
- trying to get more faith
- and allowing faith to grow
Growth is not forced.
Growth is the natural result of:
- proper planting
- proper environment
- and divine life at work
The Hidden Work of Faith
Seeds do their greatest work beneath the surface.
Before anything is seen externally, something is happening internally.
In the same way:
Faith often grows unseen before it is manifested openly.
This is why many misunderstand the process.
They look for visible results…
But God is working in the hidden place.
The End Result: Nothing Shall Be Impossible
Jesus connects the smallest seed to the greatest outcome:
“Nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
This is not because of the size of the faith…
But because of the life within the faith.
Declaration — The Seed Within Me
The faith I have received is not small in power.
It is small in beginning.
It carries within it the life of God,
and it is designed to grow, develop, and manifest.
I do not despise the seed.
I receive it, trust it, and allow it to grow.
Call to Action — Let the Seed Grow
Do not strive to produce faith.
Do not condemn yourself for small beginnings.
Instead:
- Receive what has been planted
- Trust the life within it
- Allow God to bring the increase
For what begins as a seed…
Will become something that moves mountains.
Not by human effort…
but by the life of God within.
📖 Chapter 4 — Faith Comes by Hearing: The Word as Source
Faith Does Not Rise From Within—It Comes From God
Having seen that faith is given and planted as a seed, we now ask the next question:
How does faith actually come into the heart and begin to grow?
Scripture answers this directly—and it removes all confusion.
Faith does not originate in human reasoning.
Faith does not rise from emotional desire.
Faith does not come from repeated effort.
Faith comes from God.
The Source of Faith Is the Word of God
Romans 10:17
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
This verse is one of the clearest in all of Scripture.
It does not say:
- faith is created by thinking
- faith is built by effort
- faith is achieved through discipline
It says:
faith cometh
That means:
- it arrives
- it is imparted
- it is supplied
And it comes through one channel:
the Word of God
Hearing Is Not Just Sound—It Is Reception
The hearing spoken of here is not merely natural hearing.
Many can hear words with their ears and never receive faith.
This hearing is deeper. It is:
- spiritual
- receptive
- open to what God is speaking
Hebrews 4:2
“…the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”
This shows that hearing alone is not enough.
There must be:
reception of what is heard
The Word Carries Life
John 6:63
“The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
Faith is not just information—it is the result of encountering living words.
When God speaks, His Word carries:
- life
- power
- substance
Faith is born from that life.
Faith Comes From God Speaking
Deuteronomy 8:3
“…man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord…”
Faith is not sustained by:
- knowledge alone
- study alone
- repetition alone
Faith is sustained by:
what God is speaking
Hearing Produces Life
John 5:24
“He that heareth my word, and believeth… hath everlasting life…”
Notice the order:
- hearing
- believing
- life
Faith is the bridge between hearing and life.
Why Faith Cannot Be Self-Generated
If faith comes by hearing the Word of God, then it cannot come from within man independently.
Man cannot generate what only God can supply.
This removes the pressure to “work up” faith.
Faith is not something you try to produce.
It is something that comes when God speaks—and is received.
The Connection Between the Seed and the Word
The seed we saw in the previous chapter is directly connected to the Word.
The Word is:
- the seed
- the carrier of life
- the source of faith
When the Word is planted, faith is present.
Faith Grows by Continued Hearing
Faith does not only come once.
It continues to come as the Word continues to be received.
This is why growth happens.
Not because man forces it—but because:
God continues to speak and reveal
The Danger of Substituting Effort for Hearing
Many have replaced hearing with effort.
Instead of receiving from God, they:
- try harder
- think harder
- strive more
But faith does not respond to effort.
Faith responds to:
the voice of God
Declaration — Faith Comes to Me
Faith does not originate in me.
Faith comes to me through the Word of God.
As I hear, receive, and respond to His voice,
faith is supplied, strengthened, and sustained.
I do not strive to create faith.
I position myself to receive it.
Call to Action — Position Yourself to Hear
If faith comes by hearing, then the priority is clear:
- Listen for His voice
- Receive His Word
- Stay open to what He is speaking
Do not focus on producing belief.
Focus on hearing.
For when God speaks and the heart receives…
Faith comes.
And what comes from God
carries the power to transform everything.
📖 Chapter 5 — Living by the Faith of God: The Faith of Christ
The Shift From Our Faith to His Faith
Up to this point, we have seen that faith is:
- given by grace
- planted as a seed
- and comes through hearing the Word
But now we come to a revelation that changes everything:
We do not live by a faith that originates with us.
We live by the faith of Christ.
This is where the Gospel of Grace reaches into its deepest clarity.
The Defining Scripture
Galatians 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
This verse does not say:
- “I live by my faith in the Son of God”
It says:
“I live by the faith of the Son of God”
Not Independent Faith—But Indwelling Life
Paul reveals something profound:
“Yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”
This means the source of the life being lived is no longer the individual alone.
It is:
Christ within
So if Christ is the life within, then the faith being expressed is not independent—it is His faith being lived out.
Righteousness Through the Faith of Christ
Philippians 3:9
“…not having mine own righteousness… but that which is through the faith of Christ…”
Again, Paul removes the focus from self.
It is not:
- my righteousness
- my effort
- my origin
It is:
through the faith of Christ
Justified by the Faith of Jesus Christ
Galatians 2:16
“…a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ…”
Justification is not based on:
- human works
- human belief as a source
It is based on:
the faith of Jesus Christ
Why This Matters
If we misunderstand this, we will live under pressure.
We will think:
- we must maintain faith
- we must increase faith
- we must sustain belief
But if the faith we live by is His, then everything changes.
Christ: The Life and the Faith
Colossians 3:4
“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear…”
Christ is not just part of life.
He is:
our life
John 15:5
“…without me ye can do nothing.”
This includes faith.
Without Him:
- no true faith
- no sustaining belief
- no spiritual life
The End of Self-Originated Faith
This chapter does not deny that we believe.
It reveals where that belief comes from.
We do:
- believe
- trust
- walk in faith
But the source is not:
- human strength
- mental effort
- emotional intensity
The source is:
Christ living within
Faith Becomes Personal—But Never Self-Originated
This is where many become confused.
Scripture speaks of:
- “thy faith”
- “your faith”
- “my faith”
And yet, it also reveals:
- “the faith of Christ”
This is not contradiction.
This is divine order.
Faith becomes personal in experience…
But it never becomes human in origin.
Living by the Faith of God
To live by the faith of God means:
- trusting His ability, not yours
- resting in His work, not yours
- walking in what He supplies, not what you produce
It is not passive.
It is not inactive.
It is:
dependent
The Freedom of This Revelation
When this truth is seen clearly:
- striving ends
- pressure lifts
- fear diminishes
Because the burden is no longer:
“Can I believe enough?”
The reality becomes:
He is faithful within me
Declaration — His Faith, My Life
The life I live is not sustained by my own faith.
It is sustained by the faith of Christ within me.
I do not depend on my ability to believe.
I depend on His life working through me.
His faith is my source,
my strength,
and my foundation.
Call to Action — Live From the Source
Stop looking inward for strength.
Stop measuring your faith by your feelings.
Instead:
- look to Christ within
- trust His life
- rest in His faith
For the life you now live…
Is not sustained by you.
It is sustained by the faith of God Himself.
📖 Chapter 6 — Faith as Fruit: The Life of the Spirit
Faith Is Not Only Given—It Is Grown
Up to this point, we have seen that faith is:
- given by grace
- planted as a seed
- and lived through the faith of Christ
But now we must bring balance to the understanding:
Faith is not only something we receive…
It is something that grows and is expressed.
The Fruit of the Spirit
Galatians 5:22–23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance…”
Faith is listed as fruit.
This means faith is not only:
- a gift at the beginning
It is also:
- a manifestation of life within
Fruit Reveals Life
Fruit does not produce life.
Fruit reveals life.
A tree does not strive to bear fruit.
It bears fruit because:
it is alive
John 15:4–5
“Abide in me, and I in you… he that abideth in me… bringeth forth much fruit…”
The source of fruit is not effort.
The source is:
abiding in Christ
The Same Source—Different Expression
This is where the balance becomes clear.
Faith as a gift…
Faith as fruit…
Are not two different sources.
They are:
two expressions of the same life
- Faith is given by God
- Faith grows as God’s life works within
Fruit Grows Naturally—Not Forcefully
Colossians 1:10–11
“…being fruitful in every good work… strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power…”
Fruit is the result of:
- divine life
- divine strength
- divine power
Not human pressure.
The Role of the Spirit
The fruit of faith is produced by the Spirit.
Man does not manufacture it.
The Spirit:
- develops it
- strengthens it
- expresses it
Philippians 1:11
“Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ…”
Even the fruit is:
by Jesus Christ
Growth Is Evidence, Not Effort
When faith grows, it is not proof of human effort.
It is proof of:
God’s life at work
Hebrews 6:7
“…the earth which drinketh in the rain… bringeth forth herbs meet for them…”
The earth does not create the rain.
It receives it.
Then fruit comes forth.
Why This Balance Matters
Without this understanding, people fall into two errors:
❌ Error 1 — Trying to Produce Faith
“I must grow my faith by effort.”
❌ Error 2 — Denying Growth
“Faith is given, so nothing develops.”
✅ Truth:
Faith is given… and faith grows
The Connection to the Seed
The seed from Chapter 3 now becomes visible.
What was planted:
- begins to grow
- begins to develop
- begins to produce
Faith Matures Over Time
Growth is a process.
Faith becomes:
- clearer
- stronger
- more consistent
Not because man forces it—
But because:
Christ is living and growing within
The Life of Christ Expressed Through the Believer
This brings us back to the center:
Galatians 2:20
“Christ liveth in me…”
If Christ lives within…
Then what is produced outwardly is:
His life expressed
Including faith.
Declaration — Faith Growing Within Me
The faith I have received is alive.
It is growing, developing, and being expressed through the Spirit.
I do not strive to produce fruit.
I abide in Christ,
and His life brings forth what is needed.
Call to Action — Abide and Let It Grow
Do not force growth.
Do not measure yourself by outward comparison.
Instead:
- abide in Christ
- receive His life
- trust the Spirit within
For what God has planted…
He will grow.
And what He grows…
Will bear fruit.
Not by human effort…
but by the life of God within.
📖 Chapter 7 — Great Faith: Seeing the Source Clearly
Great Faith Is Not Greater Effort—It Is Greater Clarity
As we continue this journey, we now come to a moment in Scripture where Jesus Himself stops and marvels.
Not at miracles.
Not at crowds.
Not at religious devotion.
But at faith.
And not just faith—
Great faith.
The Encounter That Reveals It
Matthew 8:8–10
“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof:
but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me…
…When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said…
I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”
Luke 7:9
“I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”
What Made This Faith “Great”?
It was not:
- volume
- emotion
- intensity
- effort
It was:
understanding
The Key Statement
“I am a man under authority…”
This is where the revelation lives.
The centurion understood something many did not:
- authority comes from a source
- power flows from above
- words carry weight when backed by authority
Faith That Sees the Source
The centurion did not say:
“Come and try to heal him.”
He said:
“Speak the word only.”
Why?
Because he recognized:
the source of power was not in the action—
it was in the authority behind the word
Authority Recognized Produces Rest
When the source is understood, striving disappears.
The centurion did not:
- beg repeatedly
- question the outcome
- ask for signs
He rested in one thing:
the authority of Christ
Israel Had Knowledge—But Missed the Source
Jesus said:
“I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”
Israel had:
- Scripture
- covenant
- tradition
- history with God
Yet many still operated in:
- effort
- expectation based on works
- natural reasoning
The Gentile Saw What Others Missed
The centurion, outside of the covenant system, saw clearly:
Everything flows from Him
Faith That Understands Authority Aligns With Heaven
Psalm 62:11
“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.”
Faith becomes great when it sees:
- power belongs to God
- authority belongs to God
- fulfillment belongs to God
Another Witness — The Nobleman
John 4:50
“Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word…”
He did not require:
- proof first
- visible results
He believed:
the word spoken
Faith That Rests in the Word
Great faith does not demand:
- evidence first
- confirmation first
It rests in:
the authority of what God has spoken
Why This Matters
Many try to increase faith by effort.
But faith is not increased by striving.
It is increased by:
seeing clearly who the source is
From Effort to Understanding
Weak faith says:
“I hope this works.”
Growing faith says:
“I believe this can happen.”
Great faith says:
“He has spoken—it is done.”
The Connection to Living by the Faith of God
This chapter connects directly to the center of the book.
If faith is from God…
Then great faith is simply:
seeing that truth clearly
Declaration — I See the Source
My faith is not rooted in my effort.
It is rooted in God as the source of all things.
I trust His authority.
I trust His word.
I rest in His power.
For what He speaks…
He performs.
Call to Action — Rest in His Authority
Stop striving to believe harder.
Stop measuring your faith by your feelings.
Instead:
- look to the source
- trust His authority
- receive His word
For when the source is seen clearly…
Faith becomes great.
Not by effort…
but by revelation.
📖 Chapter 8 — Strong Faith: Established and Unwavering
Faith That Cannot Be Moved
As faith progresses from seed to growth and from growth to clarity, it begins to take on a new characteristic:
It becomes strong.
Not loud.
Not emotional.
Not unstable.
But:
steady, rooted, and unwavering
Abraham: The Pattern of Strong Faith
Romans 4:20–21
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Abraham did not become strong in faith because of perfect circumstances.
He became strong in faith because he was anchored in:
the ability of God
Strong Faith Does Not Stagger
The word staggered reveals something important.
It speaks of:
- wavering
- instability
- being pulled in different directions
But Abraham:
staggered not
Strength Comes From the Source
Strong faith is not:
- human determination
- mental toughness
- emotional resilience
It is:
confidence in God as the source
Established in the Faith
Colossians 2:6–7
“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith…”
Notice the progression:
- received
- rooted
- built up
- established
Faith begins as a gift…
But it becomes:
a foundation
Holding Fast Without Wavering
Hebrews 10:23
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
The reason faith does not waver is not because of human strength.
It is because:
He is faithful
Standing Firm in the Faith
1 Corinthians 16:13
“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith…”
Faith becomes a place you stand.
Not something that comes and goes.
But something that:
holds you steady
1 Peter 5:9
“…whom resist stedfast in the faith…”
Steadfast faith is not shaken by:
- pressure
- opposition
- delay
Because it is rooted in something greater than circumstances.
The End of Double-Mindedness
James 1:6–8
“…let him ask in faith, nothing wavering…”
Wavering comes from division.
But strong faith is:
- settled
- unified
- fixed
Christ Formed Within
Galatians 4:19
“…until Christ be formed in you…”
Faith becomes strong when Christ is formed within.
This is not about:
- trying harder
- believing more intensely
It is about:
Christ becoming fully established in the believer
Why This Matters
Many live in cycles of:
- believing one moment
- doubting the next
This creates instability.
But strong faith brings:
- consistency
- peace
- confidence
From Movement to Stability
Early faith moves.
Growing faith develops.
But strong faith:
remains
Strong Faith Is Quiet but Unmovable
It does not need to announce itself.
It does not depend on emotion.
It simply rests in what God has said.
Declaration — I Am Established in Faith
My faith is not unstable.
It is being rooted, built up, and established in Christ.
I do not waver,
because my confidence is not in myself—
It is in the faithfulness of God.
Call to Action — Stand Firm
Do not be moved by circumstances.
Do not be shaken by delay.
Do not measure truth by what you see.
Instead:
- remain rooted in Christ
- hold fast to His promise
- trust in His faithfulness
For what God has established…
Cannot be shaken.
Not by time…
not by pressure…
not by circumstance.
It stands firm.
📖 Chapter 9 — Fully Persuaded: Faith Settled in God
When Faith Comes to Rest
Faith begins as a gift.
It grows as fruit.
It becomes strong and established.
But there is a place beyond growth and strength…
A place where faith becomes:
fully persuaded
This is not partial belief.
This is not hoping.
This is not trying to convince yourself.
This is:
settled certainty in God
The Pattern of Abraham
Romans 4:20–21
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Abraham’s faith reached a point where there was no internal argument left.
He was:
fully persuaded
What “Fully Persuaded” Means
It means:
- convinced
- settled
- unwavering within
There is no division in the heart.
There is no second voice arguing against the promise.
There is only:
confidence in God
The Focus of Persuasion
Notice what Abraham was persuaded of:
“What He had promised, He was able also to perform”
His faith was not in:
- his ability
- his condition
- his circumstances
His faith was in:
God’s ability
Confidence in God, Not Self
2 Timothy 1:12
“…I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him…”
Paul echoes the same truth.
He does not say:
“I am confident in myself.”
He says:
“I know whom I have believed”
Faith Anchored in the Nature of God
Numbers 23:19
“God is not a man, that he should lie…”
Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be… it shall not return unto me void…”
Faith becomes fully persuaded when it sees:
- God does not lie
- God does not fail
- God performs what He speaks
The End of Inner Conflict
Before persuasion, there is often:
- questioning
- reasoning
- internal debate
But when faith becomes fully persuaded:
the conflict ends
From Believing to Knowing
Early faith says:
“I believe.”
Maturing faith says:
“I trust.”
Fully persuaded faith says:
“I know.”
Faith That Does Not Move With Circumstances
Fully persuaded faith is not shaken by:
- delay
- opposition
- visible contradiction
Because it is not rooted in what is seen.
It is rooted in:
what God has said
The Role of God in Persuasion
This level of faith is not achieved by human effort.
It is the result of:
- God revealing Himself
- God confirming His Word
- God establishing truth in the heart
Persuasion Comes From Seeing Him Clearly
The more clearly God is seen:
- His nature
- His faithfulness
- His power
The more settled the heart becomes.
The Connection to Living by the Faith of God
This chapter reveals something vital:
If faith comes from God…
Then full persuasion comes from:
knowing God
Declaration — I Am Fully Persuaded
I am not divided in my heart.
I am not moved by what I see.
I am fully persuaded that what God has spoken,
He is able to perform.
My confidence is not in myself—
it is in Him.
Call to Action — Settle in His Faithfulness
Do not try to convince yourself.
Do not fight to maintain belief.
Instead:
- look to who God is
- trust His nature
- rest in His Word
Let persuasion come as you see Him clearly.
For when the heart is fully persuaded…
Faith becomes unshakable.
And what God has promised…
Will be performed.
📖 Chapter 10 — Many Infallible Proofs: Faith Confirmed by God
The God Who Gives Faith Also Confirms It
Faith begins as a gift.
It is planted as a seed.
It grows as fruit.
It becomes strong and fully persuaded.
But God does not stop there.
He does not leave faith in uncertainty.
He does not leave the believer guessing.
He confirms what He has given.
The Witness of the Risen Christ
Acts 1:3
“To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs…”
After His resurrection, Jesus did not simply declare that He was alive.
He showed Himself.
Again and again.
In different ways.
To different people.
Through:
many infallible proofs
What Are Infallible Proofs?
They are:
- undeniable
- unmistakable
- certain
They leave no room for doubt.
They are not based on human reasoning.
They are based on:
God revealing Himself
Faith Is Not Left Without Witness
Faith is not blind.
Faith is not built on emptiness.
Faith is:
- given by God
- and confirmed by God
Hebrews 2:3–4
“…which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord…
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders…”
God Himself:
bears witness
Jesus and Thomas — From Doubt to Proof
John 20:27–29
“Then saith he to Thomas… reach hither thy hand… and be not faithless, but believing…”
Jesus did not reject Thomas.
He revealed Himself to him.
Why?
To establish him in faith
The Word Confirmed With Power
Mark 16:20
“…the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.”
The Word does not stand alone.
God:
- works with it
- confirms it
- establishes it
The Witness Within
1 John 5:10
“He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself…”
Proof is not only external.
It becomes:
internal
There is a knowing within
that cannot be shaken.
Taste and See
Psalm 34:8
“O taste and see that the Lord is good…”
Faith is not just believed.
It is:
- experienced
- encountered
- confirmed
How Faith Becomes Unshakable
Faith becomes unshakable when:
- God reveals Himself
- God confirms His Word
- God establishes truth repeatedly
The Journey Comes Full Circle
At the beginning, faith was given.
At the end, faith is confirmed.
And in between:
God has been:
- speaking
- revealing
- establishing
From Gift to Certainty
Faith is no longer:
- just received
- just growing
- just believed
It is now:
confirmed
This Is the Faith of God
This is not fragile faith.
This is not uncertain belief.
This is:
faith that has been given, grown, established, persuaded, and confirmed by God Himself
Declaration — My Faith Is Confirmed
The faith I have received is not uncertain.
It has been confirmed by God.
He has revealed Himself.
He has established His Word.
He has made truth known within me.
I do not stand in doubt—
I stand in what has been proven.
Call to Action — Rest in What God Has Confirmed
Do not return to uncertainty.
Do not question what God has made clear.
Instead:
- remember what He has shown you
- stand in what He has confirmed
- trust what He has revealed
For the God who gives faith…
Is the same God who proves it.
Final Declaration — Living by the Faith of God
Faith is not mine in origin.
It is God’s in source.
It was given by grace,
planted as a seed,
grown by the Spirit,
established in Christ,
fully persuaded in truth,
and confirmed by many infallible proofs.
This is the life I now live—
Not by my strength,
not by my effort,
not by my ability to believe—
But by:
the faith of God
