From the opening words of Genesis to the closing vision of Revelation, the Lord consistently reveals His purpose through the same divine patterns. Different symbols appear throughout the Scriptures, but the ways of God remain unchanged.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is not merely the final book of the Bible. It is the unveiling of God’s eternal purpose through His Son. As Christ is revealed, everything else is revealed in His light. Truth is distinguished from error. The incorruptible seed is separated from the corruptible seed. The heavenly man is distinguished from the earthly man. The Bride is separated from Mystery Babylon. The Lamb stands in contrast to the Beast. Everywhere Christ is revealed, spiritual discernment increases.

CHAPTER ONE
THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST
The Foundation of All Spiritual Discernment
The book of Revelation opens with one of the most important statements in all of Scripture:
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ…”
These five words establish the foundation for everything that follows. Before we study Mystery Babylon, the Beast, the False Prophet, the New Jerusalem, or any other prophetic symbol, we must first understand that this book is the revelation of Jesus Christ. Every vision, every prophecy, every symbol, and every mystery must be interpreted through Him.
The purpose of this chapter is to establish Christ as the foundation of all spiritual discernment. Only when Christ is revealed can truth be separated from mixture and the full counsel of God be understood.
THE REVELATION BEGINS WITH CHRIST
Revelation 1:1
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass…”
The very first verse of Revelation tells us what the entire book is about. It is not first a revelation of future events. It is not first a revelation of prophetic symbols. It is not first a revelation of the Antichrist, the Beast, or Mystery Babylon.
It is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
This is the key that unlocks the entire book.
Every symbol must ultimately reveal Christ.
Every prophecy must testify of Christ.
Every vision must lead us to Christ.

THE EYES OF OUR UNDERSTANDING MUST BE ENLIGHTENED
Ephesians 1:17–18
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened…”
Paul understood that spiritual understanding is not produced merely by intellectual knowledge.
He prayed that believers would receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Notice that revelation comes before understanding.
God first reveals His Son.
Then He enlightens the eyes of our understanding.
The purpose of revelation is not merely to increase knowledge.
Its purpose is to transform the way we see.
As Christ is revealed, our spiritual eyesight begins to mature. The Scriptures that once seemed disconnected begin to speak with one voice. What once appeared to be isolated prophecies become harmonious witnesses of God’s eternal purpose in Christ.
This is the beginning of true discernment.
SPIRITUAL MATURITY PRODUCES DISCERNMENT
Hebrews 5:14
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
The writer of Hebrews tells us that spiritual maturity produces discernment.
Discernment is not simply knowing Bible facts.
It is the ability to recognize the difference between truth and mixture.
It is learning to distinguish the heavenly from the earthly.
The incorruptible from the corruptible.
The Spirit from the flesh.
This discernment does not come overnight.
It develops as believers continually walk in the light of God’s Word and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus Christ through the Scriptures.

HE THAT HATH AN EAR, LET HIM HEAR
Revelation 2:7
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Seven times in the opening chapters of Revelation, Jesus repeats this invitation.
“He that hath an ear, let him hear…”
The issue is not natural hearing.
Every person listening possessed natural ears.
Jesus was calling His people to spiritual discernment.
He was inviting them to hear what the Spirit was revealing.
This same principle is found throughout the Scriptures.
Those who learn to hear the Spirit begin to recognize the ways of God.
They begin to discern His purpose.
They begin to distinguish truth from mixture.
This invitation becomes one of the great themes of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Every believer is called to hear.
Every believer is called to discern.
ALL SCRIPTURE TESTIFIES OF CHRIST
John 5:39
“Search the scriptures… they are they which testify of me.”
Jesus declared that the entire testimony of Scripture points to Him.
Genesis points to Him.
The Law points to Him.
The Prophets point to Him.
The Psalms point to Him.
The Gospels reveal Him.
The Epistles explain Him.
The Revelation unveils Him.
The Bible is not a collection of unrelated doctrines.
It is one continuous revelation of Jesus Christ.
As we learn to interpret every passage through Christ, the whole counsel of God begins to harmonize. Different writers, different generations, different symbols, and different historical settings all become united in one glorious testimony.
Christ is the center.
Christ is the message.
Christ is the revelation.

CHAPTER TWO
THE TWO SEEDS
God’s Pattern Begins in Genesis
The Scriptures reveal that God’s eternal purpose unfolds according to divine patterns. Before there was a Mystery Babylon, before there was a Beast, before there was a New Jerusalem, God established a foundational principle that runs throughout the whole counsel of Scripture.
That principle is revealed through two seeds.
From Genesis to Revelation, the conflict between these two seeds unfolds through different symbols, different generations, and different administrations. Yet the principle never changes.
If we fail to understand the two seeds, we will struggle to understand the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
THE FIRST PROPHECY REVEALS TWO SEEDS
Genesis 3:15
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
The first prophecy recorded after the fall introduces the great conflict that unfolds throughout the Scriptures.
God immediately speaks of two seeds.
The woman’s seed.
The serpent’s seed.
From this point forward, the Bible traces these two opposing orders until God’s eternal purpose is fulfilled in Christ.
This conflict is much greater than two individuals.
It reveals two origins.
Two natures.
Two kingdoms.
Two ways.
Throughout the Scriptures, these two seeds are continually revealed through different symbols, but the principle remains the same.
THE INCORRUPTIBLE SEED
1 Peter 1:23
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
Peter identifies the source of the believer’s new life.
It is not produced by corruptible seed.
It is produced by incorruptible seed.
The life of Christ is incorruptible.
His Word is incorruptible.
His kingdom is incorruptible.
Everything that proceeds from Christ bears His life and His nature.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ continually unveils this incorruptible seed until it stands in full contrast with every corruptible order.
THE WHEAT AND THE TARES REVEAL THE TWO SEEDS
Matthew 13:38
“The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one.”
Jesus explains His own parable.
The good seed represents the children of the kingdom.
The tares represent the children of the wicked one.
The Lord is teaching the same principle first revealed in Genesis.
Different symbols.
The same truth.
The issue is not merely plants growing in a field.
The issue is spiritual origin.
Jesus is teaching His disciples how to discern what God is doing throughout the ages.
LET BOTH GROW TOGETHER
Matthew 13:30
“Let both grow together until the harvest…”
This statement has profound significance.
God does not immediately separate the wheat from the tares.
He allows both to grow together until the appointed harvest.
This introduces one of the great themes of Scripture.
For a season there is mixture.
Truth exists alongside error.
Light shines in the midst of darkness.
The heavenly and the earthly appear together.
Yet God never loses sight of the harvest.
The purpose is not to leave mixture forever.
The purpose is to reveal, expose, and separate according to His appointed time.
THE HARVEST REVEALS GOD’S WAY
Matthew 13:39
“The harvest is the end of the world…”
The harvest is the moment of separation.
What has grown together is distinguished.
What has appeared similar is revealed for what it truly is.
Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly works in this manner.
He reveals.
He exposes.
He separates.
The symbols change, but the ways of God remain the same.
This divine pattern prepares us to understand Mystery Babylon, the mystery of iniquity, the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and every other prophetic symbol.
THE TWO SEEDS LEAD TO THE TWO MEN
1 Corinthians 15:47
“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”
The conflict of the two seeds ultimately points to the contrast between two men.
The first man is earthly.
The second man is heavenly.
The first bears corruption.
The second brings incorruption.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ progressively reveals this distinction until every symbol finds its proper place.
The Lamb belongs to the heavenly order.
The Beast belongs to the earthly order.
The Bride belongs to the heavenly order.
Mystery Babylon belongs to the order of mixture and corruption.
The Revelation teaches us to discern every symbol according to its source.

CHAPTER THREE
THE WHEAT AND THE TARES
Why God Allows Mixture
The parable of the wheat and the tares is one of the greatest keys to understanding the ways of God. Jesus did not give this parable merely to explain agriculture or the end of the age. He gave it to reveal a divine principle that runs throughout the whole counsel of God.
From Genesis to Revelation, God repeatedly allows two opposing orders to exist together for a season before He reveals, exposes, and separates them according to His eternal purpose.
The wheat and the tares establish the pattern by which we begin to understand Mystery Babylon, the mystery of iniquity, the two men, and ultimately the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
THE GOOD SEED IS SOWN
Matthew 13:24
“The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field.”
Jesus begins with the Kingdom.
The Lord Himself is the Sower.
The seed He sows is good.
Everything that proceeds from God is pure, holy, and incorruptible.
God never plants mixture.
He plants truth.
He plants life.
He plants His own incorruptible seed.
The conflict does not begin with God’s seed.
The conflict begins when another seed is introduced.
AN ENEMY HATH DONE THIS
Matthew 13:25
“But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.”
Jesus introduces another sower.
There are now two sowers.
Two seeds.
Two works.
Two opposing orders.
Immediately the field contains both wheat and tares.
The Lord does not deny the existence of the tares.
Neither does He panic because of them.
He already knows how the harvest will end.
This teaches us that God is never surprised by mixture.
He is already working toward its complete exposure and removal.
LET BOTH GROW TOGETHER
Matthew 13:30
“Let both grow together until the harvest…”
This statement reveals one of God’s greatest principles.
The Lord does not immediately separate the wheat from the tares.
He allows both to grow together.
This explains why the Scriptures repeatedly reveal seasons of mixture.
The true and the false appear together.
Truth and error occupy the same field.
Light shines in the midst of darkness.
Yet God’s purpose is never mixture.
His purpose is harvest.
The season of growing together is temporary.
The season of separation is certain.
THE HARVEST IS THE TIME OF REVELATION
Matthew 13:39
“The harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”
The harvest is more than the end of a season.
It is the appointed time of revelation.
What was hidden becomes visible.
What appeared alike is distinguished.
What was growing together is separated.
The harvest does not create the difference between the wheat and the tares.
It reveals the difference that has always existed.
This is one of the consistent ways of God throughout Scripture.
God reveals.
God exposes.
God separates.
THE LORD EXPLAINS THE PARABLE
Matthew 13:37–38
“He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one.”
Jesus leaves no room for speculation.
He interprets His own parable.
The good seed represents the children of the Kingdom.
The tares represent the children of the wicked one.
The issue is not agriculture.
The issue is spiritual origin.
The Lord is teaching His disciples how to discern.
Different symbols.
The same divine principle.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ will later use different symbols to reveal the very same truth.
MYSTERY BABYLON FOLLOWS THE SAME PATTERN
Revelation 18:4
“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins…”
The same principle revealed in the wheat and the tares appears again in the book of Revelation.
God’s people are addressed while Mystery Babylon still stands.
The call is not to remain in mixture.
The call is to come out.
Throughout Scripture, the Lord continually reveals, exposes, and separates.
He never abandons His people in confusion.
He calls them into greater light.
The symbols have changed.
The ways of God have not.
THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST BRINGS THE HARVEST
Revelation 1:1
“The Revelation of Jesus Christ…”
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the great unveiling.
As Christ is revealed, every other symbol is brought into the light.
The Lamb is distinguished from the Beast.
The Bride is distinguished from the Harlot.
New Jerusalem is distinguished from Mystery Babylon.
The incorruptible seed is distinguished from the corruptible seed.
The heavenly man is distinguished from the earthly man.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s great work of spiritual discernment.
Everything hidden is brought into the light of Christ.
Everything belonging to mixture is exposed.
Everything belonging to Christ is made manifest.
CONCLUSION
The wheat and the tares establish one of the great interpretive keys of the Scriptures.
God allows both to grow together for a season.
Not because He delights in mixture.
Not because He cannot distinguish between them.
But because His appointed harvest reveals what has been growing all along.

CHAPTER FOUR
MYSTERY BABYLON
The Great Mystery of Mixture
One of the greatest mysteries revealed in the book of Revelation is Mystery Babylon.
For generations, students of prophecy have attempted to identify Babylon with a particular nation, city, political system, or religious organization. While history may contain many expressions of Babylon, the Revelation of Jesus Christ calls us to look deeper than outward appearances.
The Lord is revealing a spiritual mystery.
Before we attempt to identify Babylon in history, we must first understand why God calls her a mystery.
Throughout the Scriptures, God repeatedly reveals the principle of mixture before He reveals the separation.
Mystery Babylon becomes one of the greatest symbols of that mixture.
Only the Revelation of Jesus Christ can fully expose it.
A MYSTERY IS REVEALED
Revelation 17:5
“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
The first word written upon her forehead is Mystery.
God immediately tells us that this symbol cannot be understood merely by natural observation.
A mystery must be revealed.
Throughout the Scriptures, mysteries remain hidden until God unveils them.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s appointed means of unveiling every mystery according to His eternal purpose.
Babylon is not understood by human reasoning.
Babylon is understood as Christ reveals her true nature.
Only then can spiritual discernment separate appearance from reality.
BABYLON IS A MYSTERY OF MIXTURE
Revelation 18:2
“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”
Babylon is presented as a place where corruption has gathered.
The picture is one of confusion, uncleanness, and mixture.
Throughout the Scriptures, God is continually separating the holy from the unholy.
Light from darkness.
Truth from error.
Life from death.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ exposes Babylon because God never intends for mixture to remain hidden forever.
Everything that is contrary to Christ is eventually brought into the light.
COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE
Revelation 18:4
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins…”
This is one of the most remarkable invitations in the entire book of Revelation.
God says,
“My people.”
The Lord speaks to people who belong to Him.
He calls them to come out.
The call is not into confusion.
The call is out of confusion.
The call is not into mixture.
The call is out of mixture.
Throughout the whole counsel of God, the Lord continually calls His people into greater light.
He reveals.
He exposes.
He separates.
This is one of His unchanging ways.
MYSTERY BABYLON FOLLOWS THE PATTERN OF THE WHEAT AND THE TARES
Matthew 13:30
“Let both grow together until the harvest…”
Jesus established this principle long before John received the Revelation.
For a season, the wheat and the tares grow together.
Then comes the harvest.
The harvest reveals what has been growing all along.
The same divine pattern appears in Mystery Babylon.
There is a season when mixture exists.
Then God speaks.
Then Christ is revealed.
Then truth is separated from mixture.
The symbols are different.
The ways of God remain the same.
THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST EXPOSES EVERY MYSTERY

THE FULL COUNSEL OF GOD SPEAKS WITH ONE VOICE
2 Thessalonians 2:8
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”
Paul describes the same divine pattern.
Something hidden is revealed.
Something resisting Christ is exposed.
The brightness of His coming uncovers what darkness has concealed.
Malachi speaks of the Refiner’s Fire.
Peter speaks of the Day Star arising.
John speaks of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Different writers.
Different symbols.
One divine way.
As Christ is revealed, spiritual mixture cannot remain concealed.
Truth shines.
Darkness is exposed.
Discernment increases.

Everything we have studied to this point leads us to one glorious conclusion.
God does not separate truth from mixture through human wisdom.

This has always been God’s way.
JESUS CHRIST OPENS THE BOOK
Revelation 5:1–5
“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”
The book remained sealed until Christ appeared.
No angel could open it.
No prophet could open it.
No apostle could open it.
Only Jesus Christ was found worthy.
This establishes one of the greatest principles of Scripture.
Every mystery remains sealed until Christ reveals it.
The opening of the seals is not merely the revealing of future events.
It is the unveiling of God’s eternal purpose through His Son.
Only Christ can remove the veil.
Only Christ can reveal the mystery.
Only Christ can teach His people to discern.
THE LAMB IS THE KEY TO EVERY REVELATION
Revelation 5:6
“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne… stood a Lamb as it had been slain…”
John expected to see a Lion.
Instead, he saw a Lamb.
The Lion is revealed through the Lamb.
Power is revealed through sacrifice.
Victory is revealed through redemption.
The Revelation continually teaches us to see everything through Jesus Christ.
If we begin with Babylon, we will become occupied with Babylon.
If we begin with the Beast, we will become occupied with the Beast.
But if we begin with the Lamb, every other symbol finds its proper place.
The Lamb becomes the divine standard by which every revelation is understood.
THE LAMB OPENS EVERY SEAL
Revelation 6:1
“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals…”
Notice who opens the seals.
The Beast does not.
Babylon does not.
The False Prophet does not.
The Lamb does.
This is one of the greatest lessons in the entire book.
Every revelation comes through Jesus Christ.
Every mystery is opened by Jesus Christ.
Every symbol is interpreted by Jesus Christ.
The Revelation never asks us to become students of darkness.
It calls us to become followers of the Lamb.
As the Lamb opens each seal, He is not creating truth.
He is unveiling truth.
He is revealing what God has purposed from the foundation of the world.
THE SPIRIT OF HIS MOUTH
2 Thessalonians 2:8
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”
Paul reveals the same principle using different symbols.
The Lord does not begin by revealing the mystery of iniquity.
He begins by revealing Himself.
The brightness of His coming exposes what has resisted Him.
The spirit of His mouth reveals what has remained hidden.
Truth does not struggle against darkness.
Truth exposes darkness.
Light does not fight darkness.
Light reveals darkness.
As Christ is manifested, everything contrary to Him is brought into the light.
The symbols have changed.

THE DAY STAR ARISES
2 Peter 1:19

Peter describes the work of revelation within the believer.
The Day Star rises.
Light increases.
Understanding grows.
Discernment develops.
The more Christ is revealed within the heart, the more clearly truth is distinguished from mixture.

The Lord opens our understanding so that we may discern His ways throughout the Scriptures.
CHRIST IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

He declared Himself to be the Light.
Light reveals.

Light removes confusion.

Ephesians 5:13
“But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.”
Paul declares a principle that echoes throughout the Scriptures.
Light makes manifest.
Light reveals.
Light exposes.
This is exactly what the Revelation of Jesus Christ accomplishes.
As Christ is revealed, mixture can no longer remain hidden.
Mystery Babylon is exposed.
The mystery of iniquity is exposed.
The heavenly man is distinguished from the earthly man.
The incorruptible seed is distinguished from the corruptible seed.

Throughout the Scriptures, God reveals a consistent pattern.
He first reveals His Son.
Then the light of His Son exposes everything that opposes Him.
Darkness cannot overcome light.
Mixture cannot remain hidden in the presence of truth.
The mystery of iniquity is not overcome by human effort. It is exposed by the appearing of Jesus Christ.
This is one of God’s unchanging ways.
The brighter the revelation of Christ, the clearer the distinction between truth and mixture.
THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY IS ALREADY AT WORK
2 Thessalonians 2:7
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work…”
Paul reveals that the mystery of iniquity was already working in his own day.
It was hidden.
It was operating beneath the surface.
It was a mystery because its true nature had not yet been fully exposed.
Throughout the Scriptures, God allows hidden things to continue for a season until the appointed time of their unveiling.
The mystery is not hidden forever.
God reveals it according to His purpose.
THAT WICKED SHALL BE REVEALED
2 Thessalonians 2:8
“And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”
Notice Paul’s order.
First, that Wicked shall be revealed.
Then the Lord consumes him with the spirit of His mouth.
Finally, he is destroyed by the brightness of His coming.
The coming of Christ brings light.
His brightness exposes what darkness has concealed.
His Word uncovers what has remained hidden.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s great unveiling.
As Christ is revealed, everything contrary to Him is brought into the light.
THE SPIRIT OF HIS MOUTH
Isaiah 11:4
“He shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.”
Isaiah speaks the same language that Paul later uses.
The Lord conquers by His Word.
His mouth represents the power of divine truth.
God speaks.
Truth is revealed.
Darkness is exposed.
The victory belongs to Christ because His Word cannot fail.
Every lie eventually gives way before the truth that proceeds from the mouth of God.
THE REFINER’S FIRE
Malachi 3:2–3
“For he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver…”
Malachi describes the appearing of the Lord as the work of a refiner.
Fire does not create gold.
It reveals it.
The fire separates the precious from the worthless.
The pure from the impure.
This is exactly how God works throughout the Scriptures.
He reveals.
He exposes.
He separates.
The revelation of Jesus Christ is the great Refiner’s Fire that uncovers everything according to its true nature.
THE DAY STAR ARISES

I WAS IN THE SPIRIT ON THE LORD’S DAY
Revelation 1:10
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day…”
John introduces the Revelation by telling us he was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day.
The Lord’s Day speaks of God’s unveiling.
It is the day when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Everything that John sees from this point forward is viewed through the revelation of the glorified Christ.
The Lord’s Day is not a day of confusion.
It is a day of revelation.
As Christ is unveiled, the hidden things are brought into the light.
THE LIGHT SHINES IN DARKNESS
John 1:5
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
From the opening of John’s Gospel, the principle is established.
Light always reveals.
Darkness cannot overcome it.
Truth does not become truth because darkness disappears.
Truth shines because it is truth.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the shining forth of divine light.
As that light shines, every work of darkness is exposed.
Every mixture is uncovered.
Every false appearance is brought into the open.

CHAPTER SEVEN
THE TWO MEN
From Adam to Christ
The conflict revealed throughout the Scriptures is ultimately the conflict between two men.
Every symbol, every prophecy, every mystery, and every revelation points back to this great distinction.
The first man.
The second Man.
The earthy.
The heavenly.
The corruptible.
The incorruptible.
From Genesis to Revelation, God continually reveals these two orders until His eternal purpose is fulfilled in Christ.
When this principle is understood, the Scriptures begin to harmonize. Mystery Babylon, the Beast, the False Prophet, the New Jerusalem, the Bride, the Lamb, and every other prophetic symbol find their proper place in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
THE FIRST MAN AND THE SECOND MAN
1 Corinthians 15:47
“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”
Paul immediately establishes the great contrast.
The first man is earthly.
The second Man is heavenly.
The first belongs to the order of corruption.
The second belongs to the order of incorruption.
These two men become one of the great interpretive keys of the whole counsel of God.
Every symbol in Scripture ultimately belongs to one order or the other.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ teaches us to discern which order is being revealed.
AS IS THE EARTHY… AS IS THE HEAVENLY
1 Corinthians 15:48
“As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.”
Paul expands the principle.
The earthly produces after its own kind.
The heavenly produces after its own kind.
Each order reproduces its own nature.
The earthy order is marked by corruption, mortality, and the limitations of the natural man.
The heavenly order is marked by righteousness, life, and the nature of Jesus Christ.
Throughout the Scriptures, God continually distinguishes between these two orders.
WE HAVE BORNE THE IMAGE OF THE EARTHY
1 Corinthians 15:49
“And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”
The purpose of redemption is transformation.
We have all borne the image of the earthy.
But God’s eternal purpose is that we bear the image of the heavenly.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is not merely about escaping judgment.
It is about revealing the image of Christ.
As Christ is revealed, His image is formed in His people.
The earthly gives way to the heavenly.
The corruptible gives way to the incorruptible.
THE OLD MAN AND THE NEW MAN
Ephesians 4:22–24
“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And… put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
Paul describes these two orders as the old man and the new man.
The old man belongs to Adam.
The new man belongs to Christ.
The old man is characterized by corruption.
The new man is created after God in righteousness and true holiness.
The whole counsel of God continually calls His people out of the old and into the new.
Out of Adam.
Into Christ.
THE NATURAL MAN AND THE SPIRITUAL MAN
1 Corinthians 2:14–15
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God…
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things…”
Paul reveals another expression of the same principle.
The natural man cannot discern the things of God because they are spiritually discerned.
The spiritual man receives the revelation of Christ.
Discernment belongs to the heavenly order.
As Christ is revealed, spiritual understanding increases.
The believer begins to recognize God’s ways throughout the Scriptures.
The symbols are no longer confusing because they are interpreted through Christ.
PUTTING ON CHRIST
Galatians 3:27
“For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
God’s purpose has never been merely to improve the old man.
His purpose is to reveal Christ.
To put on Christ is to identify with the heavenly Man.
His righteousness.
His life.
His nature.
His purpose.
Everything in the Revelation of Jesus Christ points toward this glorious transformation.
Christ becomes the pattern.
Christ becomes the image.
Christ becomes the life.
THE LAST ENEMY IS DEATH
1 Corinthians 15:26
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
The earthly man is subject to death.
The heavenly Man possesses endless life.
The conflict between the two men ultimately ends with the complete triumph of Christ.
Death gives way to life.
Corruption gives way to incorruption.
The earthly gives way to the heavenly.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals this victory from beginning to end.
CONCLUSION
The whole counsel of God continually reveals two men.
The first man is of the earth.
The second Man is the Lord from heaven.
One belongs to corruption.
The other belongs to incorruption.
One belongs to Adam.
The other belongs to Christ.
Every symbol throughout the Scriptures ultimately reflects one of these two orders.
As Jesus Christ is revealed, the distinction becomes unmistakable.
The old gives way to the new.
The earthly gives way to the heavenly.
The natural gives way to the spiritual.
The image of Adam gives way to the image of Christ.
This is the great transition revealed throughout the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and it prepares us to understand every remaining symbol through the light of the heavenly Man.
CHAPTER EIGHT
HE THAT HATH AN EAR
Learning to Hear What the Spirit Is Saying
One of the most repeated statements in the book of Revelation is also one of its most important.
Seven times Jesus says,
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
The Lord is not speaking about natural hearing.
Every person listening possessed natural ears.
He is speaking about spiritual discernment.
Throughout the whole counsel of God, God has always sought a people who could hear His voice, discern His ways, and understand His purpose.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is given to those who have ears to hear.
HE THAT HATH AN EAR
Revelation 2:7
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Jesus begins His message to every church with the same invitation.
The issue is never whether God is speaking.
The issue is whether His people are hearing.
The Spirit continually speaks.
The question is whether we have ears to discern His voice.
Throughout the Revelation, those who hear are the ones who overcome.
Those who refuse to hear remain in mixture.
Hearing the Spirit is the beginning of spiritual discernment.
MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE
John 10:27
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Jesus identifies one of the defining characteristics of His sheep.
They hear His voice.
They recognize Him.
They follow Him.
The Christian life is not built upon merely gathering information.
It is built upon knowing the Shepherd.
The more clearly Christ is revealed, the more clearly His voice is recognized.
Discernment grows out of fellowship with the Shepherd.
SPEAK, LORD; FOR THY SERVANT HEARETH
1 Samuel 3:10
“Speak; for thy servant heareth.”
Samuel teaches us the attitude of every disciple.
A listening heart always precedes greater revelation.
God delights in revealing Himself to those who are willing to hear.
Throughout the Scriptures, revelation comes to those whose hearts are open before the Lord.
Hearing is an act of humility.
It acknowledges that God’s wisdom is greater than our own understanding.
TODAY IF YE WILL HEAR HIS VOICE
Hebrews 3:15
“To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts…”
The greatest obstacle to hearing God is not the absence of His voice.
It is the hardness of the human heart.
God continually speaks.
His Word continually reveals His Son.
But a hardened heart resists the light.
A humble heart welcomes correction.
It receives truth.
It allows Christ to expose every area of mixture.
The more tender the heart becomes, the greater our discernment becomes.
THE NATURAL MAN RECEIVETH NOT
1 Corinthians 2:14
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God… because they are spiritually discerned.”
Paul explains why spiritual truths cannot be understood by natural reasoning alone.
The things of God must be spiritually discerned.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ cannot be understood merely by human intellect.
It must be received through the illumination of the Holy Spirit.
As Christ is revealed, the Scriptures begin to harmonize.
The symbols begin to speak with one voice.
The believer begins to discern God’s ways from Genesis to Revelation.
HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH
Revelation 2:29
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Jesus repeats this invitation again and again because hearing is essential to overcoming.
Every church received the same call.
Every believer received the same invitation.
God is still speaking.
The Spirit is still revealing Jesus Christ.
The question remains the same.
Do we have ears to hear?
The believer who hears the Spirit begins to recognize the consistent ways of God throughout the whole counsel of Scripture.
Discernment becomes clearer.
Truth becomes brighter.
Mixture becomes easier to recognize.
THE SPIRIT WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH
John 16:13
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…”
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide His people into all truth.
The Spirit never speaks independently of Christ.
He glorifies Christ.
He reveals Christ.
He leads us into a fuller understanding of Christ.
As the Spirit guides us, the Scriptures become one unified testimony.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is no longer a collection of mysterious symbols.
It becomes the unveiling of God’s eternal purpose in His Son.
CONCLUSION
The invitation to hear what the Spirit is saying echoes throughout the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
It is an invitation to spiritual discernment.
It is a call to know the Shepherd’s voice.
It is an invitation to receive the illumination of the Holy Spirit.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ was never intended merely to satisfy human curiosity.
It was given to produce a people with ears to hear, hearts to obey, and eyes to behold the glory of Jesus Christ.
CHAPTER NINE
THE FIVE GREAT REVELATIONS OF THE INCORRUPTIBLE SEED
The Revelation of Jesus Christ Through the Full Counsel of God
As we have seen throughout this book, the Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s great work of unveiling. The Revelation of Jesus Christ does not merely reveal future events. The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals the eternal purpose of God through His Son.
As the Revelation of Jesus Christ unfolds, the incorruptible seed is progressively distinguished from the corruptible seed. Truth is separated from mixture. Light exposes darkness. Christ is revealed, and Mystery Babylon is exposed.
Throughout the whole counsel of God, five great revelations consistently testify of the incorruptible seed. These revelations are not isolated doctrines. They are harmonious witnesses that declare the same eternal purpose through different symbols.
Together they reveal the triumph of Jesus Christ over every corruptible order.
THE FIRST REVELATION—THE SEED OF THE WOMAN
Genesis 3:15
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed…”
The conflict begins with two seeds.
The woman’s seed.
The serpent’s seed.
From the very beginning, God announces that the incorruptible seed will ultimately triumph over the corruptible seed.
Every chapter of the Bible unfolds this promise.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ continually points us back to this first prophecy. What begins in Genesis reaches its glorious fulfillment in Christ. The victory belongs to the incorruptible seed because it proceeds from the life of God.

THE SECOND REVELATION—THE WHEAT AND THE TARES
Matthew 13:38
“The good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one.”
Jesus takes the principle revealed in Genesis and expands it.
The two seeds become the wheat and the tares.
For a season they grow together.
Then comes the harvest.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals that God has never lost sight of the harvest. He permits mixture for a season, but He never intends mixture to remain forever.
The harvest reveals what has always existed.
Truth is distinguished from error.
The incorruptible seed is distinguished from the corruptible seed.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ teaches us to discern this divine pattern throughout the Scriptures.
THE THIRD REVELATION—THE SECOND MAN
1 Corinthians 15:47

Adam represents corruption.

THE FOURTH REVELATION—THE LAMB UPON MOUNT ZION
Revelation 14:1
“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand…”
The Lamb stands in complete victory.
He is not struggling.
He is reigning.
Those who stand with Him bear His Father’s name.
They belong to the incorruptible order.
This vision reveals the triumph of the Lamb and the victory of His life over every corruptible system.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ continually directs our attention to the Lamb.
The Lamb opens the seals.
The Lamb overcomes.
The Lamb receives the Kingdom.
The Lamb reveals the Father’s eternal purpose.
Everything in the Revelation of Jesus Christ moves toward the complete triumph of the Lamb.
THE FIFTH REVELATION—THE NEW JERUSALEM
Revelation 21:2
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven…”
The Bible begins with a garden.
It ends with a city.
The New Jerusalem stands in complete contrast to Mystery Babylon.
Babylon represents mixture.
The New Jerusalem reveals fulfillment.
Babylon is filled with confusion.
The New Jerusalem is filled with the glory of God.
Babylon passes away.
The New Jerusalem remains forever.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals this final distinction with unmistakable clarity.
Everything belonging to corruption passes away.
Everything belonging to Christ abides forever.
THE FIVE REVELATIONS SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE
John 5:39
“Search the scriptures… they are they which testify of me.”
Jesus declared that all Scripture testifies of Him.
Genesis reveals Him.
The Gospels reveal Him.
Paul reveals Him.
John reveals Him.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ gathers every witness into one glorious unveiling.
The five revelations are not separate messages.
They are one testimony.
The incorruptible seed.
The wheat.
The heavenly Man.
The Lamb.
The New Jerusalem.
Each one reveals Jesus Christ from a different perspective.
Together they proclaim the full counsel of God.
THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST REVEALS THE INCORRUPTIBLE SEED
1 Peter 1:23
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God…”
Peter reminds us that our life is rooted in the incorruptible seed.
This seed cannot perish.
It cannot be overcome.
It cannot fail.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ continually magnifies this incorruptible life until every competing order fades before the glory of Christ.

They all reveal the victory of the incorruptible over the corruptible.
They all proclaim the triumph of God’s eternal purpose.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the thread that unites them all.
As the Revelation of Jesus Christ unfolds, Mystery Babylon is exposed, truth is separated from mixture, and the full counsel of God shines with increasing clarity.
The more clearly we see Jesus Christ, the more clearly we understand every symbol, every prophecy, and every promise in Scripture.
For in the end, the Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s final and complete unveiling of His Son, through whom the incorruptible seed triumphs forever.
CHAPTER TEN
WHEN MYSTERY BABYLON IS NO MORE
The Revelation of Jesus Christ and the Triumph of God’s Eternal Purpose
From the opening pages of Genesis to the closing chapters of Revelation, God has been moving toward one glorious conclusion.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ begins with Christ and ends with Christ.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ begins with the promise of victory and ends with the complete manifestation of that victory.
Everything that opposes Christ is temporary.
Everything that proceeds from Christ is eternal.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals that Mystery Babylon does not have the final word.
Jesus Christ does.
The incorruptible seed does.
The Kingdom of God does.
The eternal purpose of God does.
This is the hope that shines throughout the whole counsel of God.
BABYLON IS FALLEN
Revelation 18:2
“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen…”
The declaration is clear.
Babylon does not reign forever.
Mystery Babylon reaches its appointed end.
Everything built upon confusion, corruption, and mixture eventually falls before the truth of Jesus Christ.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ does not leave God’s people wondering who will ultimately prevail.
The answer is given before the story concludes.
The Lamb triumphs.
The Kingdom prevails.
The purpose of God stands forever.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals the certainty of that victory.
COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE
Revelation 18:4
“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins…”
Even as Babylon is judged, the voice of God is heard calling His people.
The Lord has always called His people out of mixture.
He called Abraham out.
He called Israel out of Egypt.
He called the remnant out of Babylon.
He now calls His people out of Mystery Babylon.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is God’s call into greater light.
As Christ is revealed, His people recognize His voice and follow Him.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ continually separates truth from mixture until God’s people stand fully in the light of His Son.
THE KINGDOMS BECOME HIS KINGDOM
Revelation 11:15
“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
This is one of the great declarations of victory in the Scriptures.
The Kingdom of Christ is not temporary.
It is everlasting.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals the progressive triumph of God’s Kingdom until every opposing kingdom is brought beneath the authority of Jesus Christ.
The kingdoms of men pass away.
The Kingdom of God remains forever.
Christ alone is worthy to reign.
THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH
Revelation 21:4
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death…”
The Revelation of Jesus Christ ends where God’s eternal purpose has always been leading.
Death is abolished.
Sorrow is removed.
Pain passes away.
The former things are gone.
Everything belonging to the corruptible order comes to an end.
Everything belonging to the incorruptible order remains forever.
This is not merely the conclusion of Revelation.
It is the fulfillment of the whole counsel of God.
BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW
Revelation 21:5
“Behold, I make all things new.”
God’s purpose has never been merely to improve the old creation.
His purpose is new creation.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals the complete triumph of new creation over the old.
The old order passes away.
The new order stands forever.
The earthly gives way to the heavenly.
The corruptible gives way to the incorruptible.
Mystery Babylon gives way to the New Jerusalem.
Everything finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ.
GOD SHALL BE ALL IN ALL
1 Corinthians 15:24–28
“Then cometh the end… that God may be all in all.”
Paul reveals the same glorious conclusion.
Christ reigns until every enemy is subdued.
The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
When God’s purpose is complete, God is all in all.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals this same destination.
Every symbol moves toward this conclusion.
Every promise points toward this fulfillment.
Every mystery is resolved in Jesus Christ.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the unveiling of God’s eternal purpose from beginning to end.
THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST IS COMPLETE
Revelation 22:13
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”
Jesus Christ speaks the final words of authority.
He is the Alpha.
He is the Omega.
He is the beginning.
He is the end.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ begins with Him.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ ends with Him.
Every chapter of Scripture finds its meaning in Him.
Every prophecy finds its fulfillment in Him.
Every promise finds its “Amen” in Him.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ is the unveiling of the One who fills all things.
CONCLUSION
The journey through Mystery Babylon has never been about Babylon alone.
It has always been about the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals the incorruptible seed.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ exposes Mystery Babylon.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ separates truth from mixture.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ unveils the Lamb.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ reveals the New Jerusalem.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ proclaims the triumph of the Kingdom of God.
The Revelation of Jesus Christ declares the victory of life over death, light over darkness, truth over error, and Christ over every opposing order.
From Genesis to Revelation, the testimony has remained the same.
God has always been revealing His Son.
God has always been separating the incorruptible from the corruptible.
God has always been calling His people out of mixture and into the fullness of Jesus Christ.
When Mystery Babylon is no more, Christ alone remains.
His Kingdom remains.
His truth remains.
His life remains.
His glory fills all things.
This is the hope of the whole counsel of God.
This is the victory proclaimed throughout the Scriptures.
This is the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
