While Pentecost reveals the earnest of the Spirit, Tabernacles points to the fullness of God’s purpose. It is the feast that speaks of completion, inheritance, and the fulfillment of divine promise.
Romans chapter eight provides the foundation for this book.
The apostle Paul declares that the whole creation groans and travails together, waiting for something that has not yet been manifested. He identifies that hope as the manifestation of the sons of God and connects it with the redemption of the body.
This book asks one simple question.
Who is the first company to experience the fullness of these promises?
The purpose of this book is not to examine every prophetic symbol in Scripture. Neither is it to exhaust every aspect of the Feast of Tabernacles. Our purpose is much simpler.
We will examine ten promises of fullness found in the New Testament.
At the end of every chapter, we will ask the same question.
Who experiences this promise first?
Following the pattern revealed in Romans chapter eight, we will trace these promises through the lens of firstfruits, showing how God reveals the first manifestation of His purpose before its universal fullness.

The Feast of Tabernacles reveals the promise of fullness.
The Redemption of the Body Is One of God’s Great Promises
The apostle Paul writes:
“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” (Romans 8:23)
The redemption of the body is one of the greatest promises revealed in the New Testament.
It is not the language of beginning.
It is the language of fullness.
The question is not whether God has promised the redemption of the body.
The promise is plainly written.

Mortality Swallowed Up by Life Is a Promise
The apostle Paul declares:
“For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.” (2 Corinthians 5:4)
Again he writes:
“For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality… then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” (1 Corinthians 15:53–54)
This is one of the great promises of the New Testament.
It is not merely the promise of forgiveness.
It is not merely the promise of justification.
It is the promise that mortality itself will be swallowed up by life.

THE MANIFESTATION OF THE SONS OF GOD

The Whole Creation Is Waiting
The apostle Paul writes:

Paul does not say that the whole creation is waiting for another message.
He does not say that the whole creation is waiting for another movement.
He does not say that the whole creation is waiting for another organization.

It reveals the completion of God’s purpose and the fulfillment of His promises. Throughout the Scriptures, God reveals His purpose in divine order. He reveals the firstfruits before the harvest, the earnest before the inheritance, and the beginning before the fullness.
One of the greatest promises of that fullness is the promise of a glorified body.
Our Body Shall Be Fashioned Like His Glorious Body
The apostle Paul writes:
“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.” (Philippians 3:20–21)
This is one of the great promises of the New Testament.
It is not merely the promise of spiritual growth.
It is not merely the promise of maturity.
It is the promise that our body shall be fashioned like His glorious body.

THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK

One of the great promises associated with that fullness is the order of Melchizedek.
A Priesthood Founded Upon the Power of an Endless Life
The writer of Hebrews declares:
“Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.” (Hebrews 7:16)
Again he writes:
“For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath… Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 7:21)
This priesthood is not established through natural descent.
It is not founded upon the law of a carnal commandment.
It is founded upon the power of an endless life.
This is the language of fullness.
Hebrews Reveals a Better Priesthood
The order of Melchizedek stands in contrast to the Levitical priesthood.
The Levitical priesthood was limited because its priests were prevented from continuing by reason of death.
The Melchizedek priesthood is presented as an abiding priesthood founded upon life.
It reveals a greater order.
It reveals a better covenant.
It reveals the promise of fullness.
Romans 8 Reveals the Company
Romans chapter eight declares that the whole creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.
It also declares that believers who have the firstfruits of the Spirit wait for the redemption of the body.

The Man-Child Is Brought Forth
John writes:
“And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” (Revelation 12:5)
This is one of the great prophetic visions of the Book of Revelation.
The vision is not centered upon the entire harvest.
It is centered upon the birth of a man-child.
The prophecy reveals a company brought forth in the purpose of God.
This is the language of firstfruits.

Death Is the Last Enemy

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” (1 Corinthians 15:26)
Death entered the world through sin.
From that day until now, death has reigned over mankind.
Yet the gospel does not end with death reigning.
It ends with death destroyed.

“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.”

“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
Every one of these promises speaks the language of fullness.
Every one points beyond the earnest to the inheritance.
Every one points beyond preparation to manifestation.
Every one points beyond beginning to completion.
