Introduction
The Apostle Paul declared that the whole creation groans and travails together until now. He did not say creation was groaning for another empire, another religion, another political system, or another earthly kingdom. He wrote that the whole creation waits with eager expectation for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Why would the destiny of the entire creation be connected to the manifestation of the sons of God?
What does creation know that religion has often overlooked?
Why did God subject creation in hope?
Why does Paul connect creation’s liberation to the revealing of the sons of God?
These questions reach into the very heart of God’s eternal purpose.
This book approaches those questions by following God’s ways throughout Scripture. From Genesis to Revelation, God never begins with fullness. He begins with a seed. Every administration begins in promise, grows through divine order, and reaches its appointed maturity. The Law matured into Christ. Pentecost begins with a newborn Church and matures through the equipping of the saints. The Feast of Tabernacles reveals the fullness of God’s purpose as He brings His work to completion according to His appointed times.

God never changes His ways.

God never begins with fullness.
He begins with a seed.
Every administration begins with a seed, grows according to His order, and reaches its appointed maturity.

God always begins with firstfruits.
The firstfruits are never the whole harvest.
The firstfruits are God’s guarantee of the harvest.

The Law was never the destination.
The Law was preparing the way.

The groan is not without purpose.

God has an ending.
God has an eternal purpose.
God has a finished work.
The Feast of Tabernacles reveals God’s completed purpose.
The Mystery of His Will

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ…”*
God’s purpose is gathering.
God’s purpose is unity.
God’s purpose is Christ.
God’s purpose is all things in Christ.
Christ Must Reign

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”*
Christ reigns.

This is the hope of creation.
This is the promise revealed throughout the Scriptures.
Passover revealed the Head.
Pentecost revealed the Head in the midst of His Body.
The Feast of Tabernacles reveals the fullness of God’s eternal purpose.
The firstfruits reveal the harvest.
The harvest reveals the faithfulness of God.
The beginning reveals the ending.
God finishes what He begins.
The whole creation groans because God has placed hope within it.
The whole creation waits because God has appointed an ending.
The whole creation shall behold the faithfulness of God.
For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.

The Feast of Tabernacles: The Hope of Creation
Romans 8:19
“For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
The whole creation is waiting.
The whole creation is groaning.
The whole creation is hoping.
The question is no longer whether creation is groaning.
The question is why.
Throughout this book we have followed one unchanging truth.
God always begins with a seed.
God always brings that seed to maturity.
God always finishes what He begins.
This is the way of God.
God Reveals the End from the Beginning
Isaiah 46:9-10
“I am God… declaring the end from the beginning…”
God never reacts.
God never changes His purpose.
Every administration unfolds according to His eternal counsel.
Passover revealed the Head.
Pentecost revealed the Head in the midst of His Body.
The Feast of Tabernacles reveals the fullness of God’s purpose.
The Firstfruits Reveal the Harvest
Romans 11:16
“For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy…”
God always begins with the firstfruits.
The firstfruits are never the end.
The firstfruits reveal the harvest.
The beginning guarantees the ending.
Creation Waits in Hope
Romans 8:20-21
*”…the creature was made subject to vanity… in hope:
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”*
God did not create a hopeless universe.
He subjected creation in hope.
Hope always has an appointed fulfillment.
Hope always has an appointed time.
Hope always rests upon the faithfulness of God.
Christ Is the Hope of Creation
Colossians 1:27
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
Jesus Christ is the beginning.
Jesus Christ is the center.
Jesus Christ is the ending.
Everything God has purposed is found in His Son.
Everything God has promised is fulfilled in His Son.
Everything God has spoken testifies of His Son.
God Shall Be All in All
1 Corinthians 15:28
“…that God may be all in all.”
This is the eternal purpose of God.
This is the hope placed within creation.
This is the reason creation groans.
This is the reason the Spirit intercedes.
This is the reason the saints press toward the mark.
God is bringing His purpose to completion.
He is gathering all things together in Christ.
He is fulfilling every promise.
He is completing every purpose.
He is finishing every work He began.
The whole creation waits because God has promised liberty.
The whole creation hopes because God has ordained fulfillment.
The whole creation groans because the Creator has placed eternity within His purpose.
The Feast of Tabernacles declares that God is faithful.
What He began, He will finish.
What He promised, He will perform.
What He purposed before the foundation of the world, He will bring to pass in His appointed time.
Until that day, we sow the seed.
We water the seed.
We preach the gospel.
We equip the saints.
We trust God for the increase.
For the increase has always belonged to Him.
And when His purpose has reached its appointed fullness, every promise shall stand fulfilled, every purpose shall stand complete, and every eye shall behold the faithfulness of God.
“For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” — Romans 11:36
