Every great revelation has a beginning.
Before kingdoms were established, before prophets spoke, before apostles preached, before the Book of Revelation was written, God introduced a mystery that would unfold throughout the entire Bible.
That mystery is revealed in two seeds.
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture progressively develops these two seeds until every symbol finds its fullest expression in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
If we fail to understand where this revelation begins, we will struggle to understand where it ends.
The Book of Revelation is not introducing a new story.
It is completing one.
THE FIRST MENTION OF THE TWO SEEDS

Genesis 3:15 is the first great revelation of the two seeds.

GOD REVEALS BEFORE HE SEPARATES

He first reveals.
Light exposes what darkness has concealed.
Truth uncovers what mixture has hidden.
Only after something has been revealed can it be separated.

Separation prepares the way for judgment.
Judgment establishes righteousness.

THE PURPOSE OF THE TWO SEEDS

The revelation of the two seeds is not given to satisfy curiosity.

As Jesus Christ is revealed, everything that belongs to the corruptible order is brought into the light.

God does not reveal His eternal purpose all at once.
He reveals it progressively.
What begins as a seed in Genesis grows throughout the Scriptures until it reaches its fullest expression in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
Every covenant, every prophet, every type, every shadow, and every symbol builds upon what God has already revealed.
The Bible is one continuous revelation, and Jesus Christ is its center.
GOD DECLARES THE END FROM THE BEGINNING

“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else… Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done…”

God is not reacting to history.
He is directing history according to His eternal purpose.
From the beginning, God declared the end. The Scriptures reveal His purpose progressively until His counsel stands complete.
Because God declares the end from the beginning, the first mention of a biblical theme often contains the foundation of everything that follows.
The seed is planted first.
Then it grows.
Finally, it bears fruit.
This is the divine pattern of revelation.
THE MYSTERY WAS HIDDEN AND IS NOW REVEALED

REVELATION IS THE HARVEST OF SCRIPTURE

Jesus Christ stands at both the beginning and the ending of God’s revelation.
He is the Alpha and the Omega.

THE WAYS OF GOD
How Jesus Christ Reveals, Exposes, Separates, and Overcomes
INTRODUCTION
Throughout history, God has worked according to His own counsel and wisdom.
Although His works vary throughout the Scriptures, His ways never change.
Whether we read Genesis, the Prophets, the Gospels, or the Book of Revelation, we discover the same divine pattern unfolding again and again.
Jesus Christ reveals.
The light exposes.
Truth separates.
God’s righteous judgments accomplish His eternal purpose.
Christ overcomes.
Understanding these ways of God provides the key for understanding both the Scriptures and the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
GOD WORKS AFTER THE COUNSEL OF HIS OWN WILL

He is revealing His eternal purpose according to His own counsel.

GOD SEPARATES ACCORDING TO TRUTH

One of the first acts recorded in creation is separation.
God divided the light from the darkness.

The Word of God distinguishes.
Truth separates.
Jesus Christ continually separates light from darkness, truth from error, life from death, and the incorruptible from the corruptible.
Separation is one of God’s consistent ways.
GOD’S JUDGMENTS ESTABLISH RIGHTEOUSNESS

“When thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.”

“Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne…”
Teaching
God’s judgments are never random.
They reveal His righteousness and establish His righteous government.
Throughout Scripture, God’s judgments remove what opposes His purpose and establish what agrees with His will.
The Flood.
Egypt.
Babylon.
The Cross.
The Book of Revelation.
Each demonstrates that God’s judgments serve His eternal purpose.
His judgments are part of the way He governs His creation.
JESUS CHRIST OVERCOMES

“Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda… hath prevailed to open the book…”

“Behold, I make all things new.”

The Revelation of Jesus Christ does not end with exposure.
It ends with victory.
The corruptible order does not remain forever.
Christ prevails.
Death is swallowed up in victory.
Babylon falls.
The dragon is defeated.
The beast is judged.
The kingdom of God fills the earth.
Everything God has revealed, exposed, separated, and judged moves toward this glorious conclusion.

THE WAYS OF GOD NEVER CHANGE

God’s methods are consistent because His character is unchanging.
The same God who separated light from darkness in Genesis is the God who unveils the New Jerusalem in Revelation.
His ways remain constant.

Understanding these ways enables us to recognize His hand throughout the entire biblical record.

FROM THE SERPENT TO THE GREAT RED DRAGON

The Revelation of Jesus Christ does not introduce new symbols.
It brings long-established symbols to their fullest expression.
One of the clearest examples is the serpent.
The serpent first appears in the Garden of Eden. Throughout the Scriptures, God progressively develops this symbol until it reaches its complete revelation as the great red dragon in the Book of Revelation.
By following this progression, we learn an important principle:
God introduces His symbols in seed form and develops them through progressive revelation until they reach their fullness in Jesus Christ.
THE FIRST MENTION OF THE SERPENT

Genesis 3:1
“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made…”
Teaching
The first mention of the serpent establishes the beginning of the biblical pattern.
The serpent appears as the deceiver.
Its work is to question God’s Word, introduce mixture, and draw mankind away from the truth.
This first appearance becomes the foundation upon which the rest of the biblical revelation is built.
The serpent is introduced in simplicity.
Its full character will be revealed progressively throughout Scripture.
THE SERPENT OPPOSES THE PURPOSE OF GOD

Immediately after the fall, God declares the conflict that will shape the biblical narrative.
The serpent is not presented as an isolated figure.

From this point forward, Scripture continually distinguishes between these two lines.
The conflict introduced in Genesis becomes the backdrop for the unfolding revelation of Jesus Christ.
THE SERPENT CONTINUES THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES

THE GREAT RED DRAGON

FROM BABEL TO MYSTERY BABYLON

INTRODUCTION
The city called Mystery Babylon the Great does not suddenly appear in the Book of Revelation.
Like every major biblical symbol, God introduces it in seed form, progressively develops it throughout the Scriptures, and finally brings it to its fullest expression in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
To understand Mystery Babylon, we must begin where God first introduced its foundation.
The story begins on the plain of Shinar.
THE FIRST MENTION OF BABEL

Genesis 11:1–4
“And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech… And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name…”
Teaching
The first mention establishes the pattern.
Babel is more than a geographical location.
It is the first great city in Scripture built around human ambition, self-exaltation, and independence from God.
Its builders sought to make a name for themselves rather than glorify the name of the Lord.
The tower became a visible testimony of mankind’s confidence in its own wisdom, strength, and ability.
The foundation of Babel is not simply bricks and mortar.
Its foundation is the exaltation of man.

Only the truth revealed in Jesus Christ brings lasting unity.
BABYLON BECOMES A GREAT WORLD POWER

As biblical history unfolds, Babel develops into Babylon.
What was first introduced as a city becomes an empire.
The same spirit of self-exaltation remains.
Nebuchadnezzar boasts of the greatness he has built for his own glory.
The outward form has grown larger, but the inward principle has not changed.
God continues to expose the pride of the corruptible order.
Babylon illustrates how the seed planted in Genesis matures throughout history.
THE PROPHETS FORETELL BABYLON’S FALL

The prophets consistently declare that Babylon will not stand forever.

The prophetic call to come out of Babylon anticipates a greater fulfillment that reaches beyond the historical city.
The prophets prepare the reader for the final unveiling in Revelation.
MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT

John does not introduce a new Babylon.

The title Mystery Babylon tells us that the symbol points beyond an ancient city to a greater spiritual reality revealed through apocalyptic imagery.
The pattern that began at Babel now stands fully exposed in the Revelation of Jesus Christ.
JESUS CHRIST EXPOSES MYSTERY BABYLON

CHAPTER SIX
FROM THE FIRST MAN TO THE MAN OF SIN
Following the First Mention from Genesis to Revelation
INTRODUCTION
The Bible introduces two men before it reveals two cities.
The first man is of the earth.
The second man is the Lord from heaven.
From Genesis to Revelation, God progressively develops these two orders until their fullest distinction is revealed in Jesus Christ.
To understand the man of sin, we must first understand the first man.
The beginning explains the ending.
THE FIRST MAN OF THE EARTH

The first man introduced in Scripture is formed from the dust of the earth.

THE TWO MEN

THE PROMISED SEED

The language of sonship emphasizes relationship, inheritance, and conformity to Christ.

The judgments recorded throughout the Scriptures are not interruptions in God’s plan. They are part of the way God establishes His righteous government.
From Genesis to Revelation, The Revelation of Jesus Christ progressively reveals that God’s judgments expose what opposes His purpose and establish what agrees with His will.
To understand God’s judgments, we must see them through Jesus Christ.
THE JUDGE OF ALL THE EARTH
