🔥 Atonement: INTRODUCTION
The Atonement Misunderstood — Babylon’s Fragments vs Zion’s Full Counsel
The atonement of Jesus Christ stands at the center of all Scripture, yet it remains one of the most fragmented and misunderstood doctrines in the earth today.
Men have taken pieces of the atonement and built entire systems around them. Some have reduced it to a legal transaction. Others have limited it to forgiveness alone. Some have emphasized suffering without understanding purpose, while others have preached victory without foundation. The result is a divided message—partial truths presented as the whole.
But God’s mind is not divided.
From Genesis to Revelation, the atonement is not a collection of disconnected ideas—it is one unified work, flowing from the heart of God before the foundation of the world, revealed through types and shadows, fulfilled in Christ, and progressively manifested in the earth through His people.
The atonement is not merely the removal of sin.
It is the revelation of God’s nature.
It is the satisfaction of divine justice.
It is the restoration of relationship.
It is the destruction of death.
It is the reconciliation of all things.
To see the atonement in part is to misunderstand it.
To see it in fullness is to behold the very wisdom of God.
Religion has often presented the atonement through the lens of fear, separation, and limitation—what we may call Babylon’s interpretation. In this view, the atonement solves a problem but does not complete a purpose. It rescues a few but leaves the rest unresolved. It answers sin but does not fully address death, corruption, and the restoration of creation.
But there is another view—the view of Zion.
Zion does not deny justice; it fulfills it.
Zion does not weaken the cross; it reveals its power.
Zion does not limit the atonement; it unveils its fullness.
From this higher vantage, we begin to see that the atonement is not only about what man has done wrong—but about what God has purposed to make right.
We see that the cross is not the end of the story, but the doorway into resurrection, ascension, and enthronement.
We see that forgiveness is not the finish line, but the beginning of transformation.
We see that reconciliation is not partial, but reaches into the depths of creation itself.
This book is written to gather every major stream of the atonement—legal, relational, priestly, sacrificial, restorative, and governmental—and bring them together into one river.
We will walk from:
- The problem of sin and death
- Through the law, the priesthood, and the sacrifice
- Into the cross and the blood
- Beyond into resurrection and life
- And forward into the reconciliation of all things
Line upon line, Scripture upon Scripture, we will uncover that God has never had two plans—only one eternal purpose revealed in many stages.
This is not a book of fragments.
This is a book of fullness.
And as we move forward, one truth will stand above them all:
The atonement is not merely what God has done—it is the unveiling of who God is.
🔥 CALL TO ACTION (Built-In Foundation)
If you have only known the atonement in part, prepare to see it in fullness.
If you have only understood forgiveness, prepare to see reconciliation.
If you have only seen the cross, prepare to see the throne.
Step into the Full Counsel of God—and behold the Lamb who was slain… and now reigns.
📖 CHAPTER 1
The Atonement Misunderstood — Babylon’s Fragments vs Zion’s Full Counsel
Definition — What Is the Atonement?
The word atonement in Scripture carries the idea of covering, reconciliation, and restoration. In the Old Testament, it comes from the Hebrew word kaphar, meaning to cover, to cleanse, or to make reconciliation. In the New Testament, the concept unfolds through words like reconciliation, redemption, and propitiation.
At its simplest level, the atonement refers to:
God’s work in Christ to deal with sin, restore relationship, and bring man back into right standing with Himself.
Scripture declares:
- “And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” — Romans 5:11
- “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself…” — 2 Corinthians 5:19
- “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” — John 1:29
Most believers are taught that the atonement is primarily about forgiveness of sins. While this is true, it is only one part of a much larger and more glorious work.
The atonement is not just about removing sin—
It is about restoring everything sin disrupted.
Revelation — The Atonement Has Been Fragmented
Though the atonement stands at the center of the gospel, it has often been presented in pieces instead of fullness.
Some emphasize:
- Legal forgiveness but neglect transformation
- The cross but not the resurrection
- Suffering but not victory
- Escape from judgment but not restoration of creation
The result is a fragmented message—truths that are real, but incomplete when isolated.
The Scripture warns us of this:
- “For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.” — 1 Corinthians 13:9
- “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit…” — Colossians 2:8
When pieces of truth are separated from the whole, they can unintentionally form systems that do not reflect the full mind of God.
The atonement is not divided in heaven—
But it has often been divided in teaching on earth.
Revelation — Babylon’s View vs Zion’s Vision
There are two lenses through which the atonement is commonly seen:
Babylon’s View (Fragmented)
- Focuses on one aspect (usually punishment or forgiveness)
- Often centers on fear, separation, or limitation
- Solves part of the problem but leaves deeper questions unanswered
- Emphasizes what man escapes more than what God accomplishes
Zion’s Vision (Full Counsel)
- Sees the atonement as one unified work
- Holds justice and mercy together without contradiction
- Reveals not only forgiveness, but transformation and restoration
- Sees the cross, resurrection, and throne as one continuous work
Scripture reveals this unity:
- “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” — Psalm 85:10
- “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ…” — Ephesians 1:10
Zion does not deny any part of the atonement—
It gathers all parts into one revelation.
Revelation — The Atonement Is One Unified Work
From Genesis to Revelation, God has never had multiple plans—only one unfolding purpose.
The atonement is:
- Planned before the foundation of the world
- Revelation 13:8
- Shadowed in the law and sacrifices
- Hebrews 10:1
- Fulfilled in Christ at the cross
- John 19:30
- Vindicated in resurrection
- Romans 4:25
- Administered from the throne
- Hebrews 7:25
- Manifested through the ages
- Ephesians 3:10–11
- Completed in the reconciliation of all things
- Colossians 1:20
This is not many works—it is one work revealed in stages.
When we see only one stage, we misunderstand the whole.
When we see the whole, every stage finds its place.
Declaration — The Call to See the Whole
The hour has come to move beyond fragments.
No longer:
- A gospel of partial understanding
- A message limited to one dimension
- A view of the cross without the throne
But a return to the full counsel of God.
The atonement is not divided.
The Lamb is not divided.
The purpose of God is not divided.
Let every piece come together.
Let every truth find its place.
Let the full revelation arise.
Call to Action — Step Into the Full Counsel
Do not settle for a partial view of the atonement.
Ask:
- What has God truly accomplished in Christ?
- What has been finished… and what is being revealed?
- How far does this work reach?
Search the Scriptures.
Follow the thread from Genesis to Revelation.
Let the Spirit gather what has been scattered.
And as you do, you will begin to see:
The atonement is not a fragment of truth—
It is the unveiling of the entire purpose of God.
📖 CHAPTER 2
The Problem — Sin, Death, and Separation
Definition — What Entered Through the Fall?
To understand the atonement, we must first understand the problem it answers.
Scripture reveals that through one man, sin entered the world—and with sin came death:
- “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin…” — Romans 5:12
- “For the wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23
- “In the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” — Genesis 2:17
Sin is not merely wrong behavior—it is a condition that affects the whole man.
Through sin came:
- Death — separation from the life of God
- Corruption — decay in nature and creation
- Separation — a breach in relationship
- Alienation — distance in mind and heart
- “Your iniquities have separated between you and your God…” — Isaiah 59:2
- “Alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works…” — Colossians 1:21
The problem is not small.
It is not surface-level.
It is a total disruption of life, relationship, and order.
Revelation — Sin Is More Than Action, It Is a State
Many have been taught to see sin only as individual acts—but Scripture reveals something deeper.
Sin became:
- A nature (Romans 5:19)
- A power (Romans 6:14)
- A law working in man (Romans 7:23)
- “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
Man did not simply do sin—
Man became subject to it.
This is why effort alone cannot solve the problem.
This is why law alone could not fix man.
The issue is not only what man has done—
It is what man has become.
Revelation — Death Is the Central Enemy
At the center of the fall is not just sin—but death.
- “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” — 1 Corinthians 15:26
- “Through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” — Hebrews 2:15
Death manifests in many ways:
- Spiritual separation from God
- Fear and bondage
- Corruption in the body
- Decay in creation
Sin opened the door—
But death became the reigning power.
- “Death reigned from Adam to Moses…” — Romans 5:14
The atonement, therefore, must address more than sin—it must confront death itself.
Revelation — Separation Is the Fracture of Relationship
The fall introduced a rupture between God and man.
- Man hid from God (Genesis 3:8)
- Fear replaced fellowship (Genesis 3:10)
- Distance replaced intimacy
What was once:
- Face-to-face communion
- Open fellowship
- Divine union
Became:
- Fear
- Shame
- Hiding
Separation is not just legal—it is relational and experiential.
And the heart of God has always been:
To restore what was lost.
Revelation — The Whole Creation Was Affected
The problem did not stop with man.
Creation itself was drawn into the fall:
- “The whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.” — Romans 8:22
- “The creature was made subject to vanity…” — Romans 8:20
The fall affected:
- Humanity
- The earth
- Systems of life
- The natural order
This reveals something critical:
👉 The atonement must be as large as the problem.
If the fall touched all creation,
Then redemption must reach just as far.
Revelation — The Law Revealed the Problem, But Could Not Solve It
God gave the law not to fix man—but to reveal the depth of the issue.
- “By the law is the knowledge of sin.” — Romans 3:20
- “The law entered, that the offence might abound…” — Romans 5:20
The law showed:
- What righteousness looks like
- What sin truly is
- That man could not fix himself
But the law could not:
- Remove sin
- Change nature
- Conquer death
It exposed the problem—
But it could not heal it.
Revelation — The Depth of the Problem Determines the Greatness of the Atonement
If the problem were small, the solution could be small.
But the problem is:
- Sin as a nature
- Death as a ruler
- Separation as a condition
- Corruption as a reality
- Creation in bondage
Therefore, the atonement must be:
- Deeper than sin
- Stronger than death
- Greater than separation
- Powerful enough to restore all things
The cross is not an overreaction—
It is the exact answer to the true depth of the fall.
Declaration — The Problem Is Fully Seen
Let it be declared:
Sin is not a surface issue—it is a fallen state.
Death is not a moment—it is a reigning power.
Separation is not symbolic—it is a broken reality.
And no human effort can solve it.
The problem is beyond man—
And therefore the answer must come from God.
Call to Action — See the Need Clearly
Before we can understand the beauty of the atonement,
We must fully see the depth of the problem.
Do not minimize:
- Sin
- Death
- Separation
Let Scripture define the condition.
For when the problem is clearly seen,
The solution will shine with even greater glory.
And as we move forward, we will begin to see:
God did not answer a small problem—
He answered the deepest crisis in all creation.
📖 CHAPTER 3
The Nature of God — Justice and Mercy United
Definition — Who Is God in the Atonement?
Before we understand what God did in the atonement, we must understand who God is.
The atonement does not reveal a divided God—it reveals a unified nature.
Scripture declares:
- “The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering… keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity… and that will by no means clear the guilty…” — Exodus 34:6–7
- “God is love.” — 1 John 4:8
- “A God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.” — Deuteronomy 32:4
God is:
- Just — He does what is right
- Merciful — He shows compassion
- Holy — He is pure and set apart
- Loving — He seeks restoration
The atonement must flow out of all that God is—not just one attribute.
Revelation — God Is Not Divided Within Himself
One of the greatest misunderstandings of the atonement is the idea that God is internally divided:
- Justice pulling one way
- Mercy pulling another
- Wrath opposing love
But Scripture never presents God this way.
God is not:
- Loving in one moment and just in another
- Merciful in one act and wrathful in contradiction
God is perfectly one.
- “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” — Deuteronomy 6:4
This means:
👉 The atonement is not God reconciling Himself to man
👉 It is God reconciling man to Himself
- “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself…” — 2 Corinthians 5:19
The conflict was never within God—
The conflict was within fallen creation.
Revelation — Justice and Mercy Meet, Not Compete
The cross is not where justice defeats mercy or mercy overrides justice.
It is where both are perfectly fulfilled together.
- “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” — Psalm 85:10
- “That he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” — Romans 3:26
At the cross:
- Justice is satisfied
- Mercy is released
- Righteousness is upheld
- Peace is established
There is no compromise in God—
Only perfect harmony.
Revelation — Love Is the Motive, Not the Afterthought
The atonement did not begin with wrath—it began with love.
- “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” — John 3:16
- “God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
Love is not what God became—
Love is what God is.
The cross is not God deciding to love—
It is God revealing that He already did.
Everything in the atonement flows from:
👉 The heart of God, not just the need of man
Revelation — Holiness Demands Order, Not Destruction
God’s holiness is often misunderstood.
Holiness is not merely God’s distance from sin—
It is His commitment to perfect order, truth, and life.
- “Be ye holy; for I am holy.” — 1 Peter 1:16
Because God is holy:
- Sin must be addressed
- Corruption must be removed
- Disorder must be corrected
But holiness does not mean:
👉 God desires destruction
👉 God delights in punishment
Holiness means:
👉 God will not leave creation in corruption
The atonement is holiness in action—
Restoring what is out of order.
Revelation — Wrath Is God’s Righteous Opposition to Destruction
Wrath is not uncontrolled anger—it is righteous opposition to all that destroys life.
- “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness…” — Romans 1:18
God’s wrath is:
- Against sin
- Against corruption
- Against everything that opposes life
But this is key:
👉 God’s wrath is not against His creation as an end
👉 It is against what is destroying His creation
The atonement reveals:
- Sin judged
- Death confronted
- Corruption exposed
Not to destroy man—
But to deliver man from what destroys him
Revelation — The Atonement Reveals the Perfect Harmony of God
At the cross, we do not see contradiction—we see clarity.
We see:
- Justice without cruelty
- Mercy without compromise
- Love without weakness
- Holiness without distance
Everything that God is:
👉 Is expressed in the atonement
This is why the atonement is not just an act—
It is a revelation of God’s nature.
Declaration — God Is One
Let it be declared:
God is not divided.
God is not conflicted.
God is not changing between love and justice.
He is one.
His justice is righteous.
His mercy is true.
His love is eternal.
His holiness is perfect.
And in the atonement—
All that He is is revealed in fullness.
Call to Action — See God Clearly
If God is misunderstood, the atonement will be misunderstood.
Do not build your understanding on:
- Fear
- Tradition
- Fragmented teaching
Return to the Scriptures.
See:
- The love of God
- The justice of God
- The unity of God
For when you see God clearly,
You will understand the atonement rightly.
And as we move forward, we will begin to see:
The atonement is not God solving a problem reluctantly—
It is God revealing Himself fully.
📖 CHAPTER 4
The Legal Foundation — Law, Judgment, and Righteousness
Definition — The Legal Dimension of the Atonement
The atonement is not only relational—it is legal.
God did not simply overlook sin.
He addressed it according to truth, righteousness, and divine order.
Scripture declares:
- “Now we know that what things soever the law saith… that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.” — Romans 3:19
- “By the law is the knowledge of sin.” — Romans 3:20
- “The wages of sin is death…” — Romans 6:23
The law reveals:
- What righteousness is
- What sin is
- What justice requires
The atonement answers this:
How can God remain righteous—and still restore fallen man?
Revelation — The Law Reveals God’s Standard
The law is not arbitrary—it reflects God’s nature.
- “The law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” — Romans 7:12
The law shows:
- God’s righteousness
- God’s order
- God’s truth
But it also exposes:
- Man’s inability
- Man’s condition
- Man’s failure
- “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
The law does not make man sinful—
It reveals that he already is.
Revelation — Judgment Is the Expression of Righteousness
Judgment is not cruelty—it is righteousness responding to disorder.
- “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” — Genesis 18:25
- “Righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne…” — Psalm 97:2
Judgment means:
- Truth is upheld
- Wrong is addressed
- Disorder is confronted
God does not ignore sin—
He judges it rightly.
This is essential:
👉 If God did not judge sin, He would not be righteous
👉 If God only judged sin without restoring man, His purpose would remain incomplete
The atonement answers both.
Revelation — The Law Could Expose, But Not Deliver
The law reveals the problem—but cannot solve it.
- “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified…” — Romans 3:20
- “If there had been a law given which could have given life… righteousness should have been by the law.” — Galatians 3:21
The law could:
- Define righteousness
- Expose sin
- Declare guilt
But it could not:
- Change nature
- Remove sin
- Conquer death
The law brought man to a conclusion:
👉 Man cannot justify himself
👉 Man cannot restore himself
This prepares the way for the atonement.
Revelation — Christ Fulfilled the Law Completely
Jesus did not come to ignore the law—He came to fulfill it.
- “Think not that I am come to destroy the law… I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” — Matthew 5:17
Christ fulfilled the law in every way:
- In His life — perfect obedience
- In His death — bearing sin’s consequence
- In His resurrection — establishing righteousness
- “God sending his own Son… condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us…” — Romans 8:3–4
The law is not set aside in the atonement—
It is fulfilled and satisfied in Christ.
Revelation — The Curse of the Law Was Broken
The law declared consequences for sin—this is called the curse.
- “Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things…” — Galatians 3:10
But Christ stepped into that place:
- “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…” — Galatians 3:13
This does not mean:
- God became unjust
- The law was ignored
It means:
👉 The consequence was fully dealt with
👉 The curse was broken at its root
The atonement does not bypass the law—
It satisfies it completely.
Revelation — Justification: The Legal Declaration of Righteousness
Because the law has been fulfilled, something powerful happens:
👉 Man can now be justified
- “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 3:24
- “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God…” — Romans 5:1
Justification means:
- Declared righteous
- Cleared of guilt
- Brought into right standing
Not because man earned it—
But because Christ fulfilled the requirement.
Revelation — God Remains Just While Justifying
This is one of the greatest revelations in Scripture:
- “That he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” — Romans 3:26
God did not:
- Lower His standard
- Ignore His law
- Compromise His righteousness
Instead:
👉 He fulfilled it fully in Christ
So now:
- Justice is satisfied
- Righteousness is upheld
- Mercy is released
- Man is restored
This is the genius of the atonement.
Revelation — The Legal Foundation Opens the Door for Relationship
The legal work of the atonement is not the end—it is the foundation.
Because:
- Guilt is removed
- Righteousness is established
Now:
👉 Relationship can be restored
👉 Fellowship can be renewed
👉 Union can take place
Without the legal foundation:
- There is no stable peace
- No assurance
- No access
The legal work makes everything else possible.
Declaration — The Law Is Fulfilled
Let it be declared:
The law has spoken.
The law has exposed.
The law has judged.
And in Christ—
The law has been fulfilled.
Righteousness is established.
Justice is satisfied.
The curse is broken.
And the way is now open.
Call to Action — Stand on the Finished Foundation
Do not build your faith on:
- Emotion
- Performance
- Effort
Stand on what Christ has finished.
See:
- The law fulfilled
- The judgment answered
- The righteousness established
For when the legal foundation is understood,
Your peace becomes unshakable.
And as we move forward, we will begin to see:
The atonement did not ignore justice—
It fulfilled it completely, and opened the way for life.
📖 CHAPTER 5
The Priesthood and the Sacrifice — God’s Appointed Way of Reconciliation
Definition — The Role of the Priest and the Sacrifice
In Scripture, atonement is never approached casually. God established a divine order through which reconciliation would take place: the priest and the sacrifice.
The priest represents man before God.
The sacrifice is offered to deal with sin.
- “For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.” — Hebrews 5:1
- “Without shedding of blood is no remission.” — Hebrews 9:22
Under the law:
- The priest stood between God and man
- The sacrifice was offered for sin
- The blood was presented before God
This system was not random—it was God’s appointed pattern.
Revelation — The Priest Stands as Mediator
The priest is a mediator—one who stands between two parties to bring them together.
- “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” — 1 Timothy 2:5
The priest:
- Represents man before God
- Carries the need of the people
- Brings offerings on their behalf
In the Old Covenant:
- The priest was a man with weakness
- He had to offer for himself and for the people
- “Who can have compassion on the ignorant… for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.” — Hebrews 5:2–3
This revealed a limitation:
👉 The mediator himself needed mediation
Revelation — The Sacrifice Addresses Sin and Guilt
The sacrifice was given to deal with:
- Sin
- Guilt
- Uncleanness
- “It is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” — Leviticus 17:11
Different offerings revealed different aspects:
- Sin offering — dealing with guilt
- Burnt offering — total surrender
- Peace offering — restored fellowship
But all had one thing in common:
👉 Life was given to deal with sin
Yet Scripture makes something clear:
- “It is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” — Hebrews 10:4
The sacrifices pointed forward—
But they could not complete the work.
Revelation — The Pattern Was Prophetic
Everything in the priesthood system was a shadow of something greater.
- “Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” — Colossians 2:17
- “The law having a shadow of good things to come…” — Hebrews 10:1
The priest pointed to:
👉 A greater priest
The sacrifice pointed to:
👉 A perfect sacrifice
The blood pointed to:
👉 A greater cleansing
The system itself declared:
👉 “This is not the end—this is a pattern.”
Revelation — Christ Is Both Priest and Sacrifice
What no man could do, Christ fulfilled completely.
He is:
- The Priest who offers
- The Sacrifice that is offered
- “By his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.” — Hebrews 9:12
- “Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” — Psalm 110:4
Unlike the Levitical priests:
- He is sinless
- He does not need to offer for Himself
- He does not repeat the sacrifice
He offers:
👉 Himself
This is the turning point of all Scripture.
Revelation — One Offering, Once for All
Under the law:
- Many sacrifices
- Repeated offerings
- Never fully complete
In Christ:
- One sacrifice
- One offering
- Complete and final
- “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down…” — Hebrews 10:12
- “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” — Hebrews 10:14
The repetition ended—
Because the perfect offering had come.
Revelation — The Heavenly Priesthood
Christ’s priesthood is not earthly—it is heavenly and eternal.
- “We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne…” — Hebrews 8:1
- “He ever liveth to make intercession…” — Hebrews 7:25
This means:
- The work is finished
- But the ministry continues
He is not offering again—
He is administering what has been finished
Revelation — Access Has Been Opened
Because of the perfect priest and sacrifice:
👉 Access to God is now open
- “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus…” — Hebrews 10:19
- “Through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” — Ephesians 2:18
No more:
- Distance
- Veil
- Restricted access
Now:
👉 Boldness
👉 Nearness
👉 Communion
Revelation — The Pattern Is Fulfilled, Not Abolished
The priesthood and sacrifices were not mistakes—
They were preparation.
Everything they pointed to:
👉 Is fulfilled in Christ
- The priest → fulfilled
- The sacrifice → fulfilled
- The blood → fulfilled
- The offering → fulfilled
Nothing is lost—
Everything finds its meaning in Him.
Declaration — The Perfect Priest Has Come
Let it be declared:
The mediator has come.
The sacrifice has been offered.
The blood has been presented.
No more repetition.
No more shadow.
No more unfinished work.
The perfect priest stands—
And the perfect offering has been made.
Call to Action — Come Boldly
Do not stand at a distance.
Do not live as though:
- The veil still stands
- The offering is incomplete
- The priest is absent
Come boldly.
Enter in.
Draw near.
Receive what has been finished.
For the priest is seated—
And the way is open.
📖 CHAPTER 6
The Blood and the Altar — Life Given for Life
Definition — What Is the Meaning of the Blood?
In Scripture, the blood is not symbolic of death—it represents life.
- “For the life of the flesh is in the blood… it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” — Leviticus 17:11
The altar is the place where:
- The offering is presented
- The sacrifice is given
- The exchange takes place
Together, the blood and the altar reveal:
Life given in place of life, according to God’s divine order.
From the beginning:
- Blood was associated with atonement
- The altar was the meeting place between God and man
Revelation — The First Picture of Blood and Covering
The pattern begins early:
- “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” — Genesis 3:21
Something had to die
So man could be covered
This reveals:
- Sin brings exposure
- Atonement brings covering
This was not yet full redemption—
But it was the first shadow of substitution and covering
Revelation — The Blood Speaks
Blood is not silent in Scripture—it speaks.
- “The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.” — Genesis 4:10
- “The blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” — Hebrews 12:24
Abel’s blood cried for justice
Christ’s blood speaks of:
- Mercy
- Redemption
- Reconciliation
The blood is not just shed—
It testifies before God
Revelation — The Altar Is the Place of Exchange
The altar is where:
- Man brings the offering
- God receives the sacrifice
- Judgment and mercy meet
- “An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me…” — Exodus 20:24
At the altar:
- Something is given
- Something is consumed
- Something is accepted
It is the place where:
👉 One life stands in place of another
The altar reveals:
👉 Exchange is at the center of atonement
Revelation — Life Given for Life
God established a principle:
👉 Life answers for life
- “It is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” — Leviticus 17:11
Sin brings death
Atonement requires life
But not just any life—
👉 A life acceptable to God
Under the law:
- Animals were offered
- Blood was shed
- A temporary covering was made
But these could never:
- Remove sin completely
- Restore the inner man
- Conquer death
They pointed forward to something greater.
Revelation — The Passover: Blood That Delivers
In Egypt, the blood marked a turning point:
- “When I see the blood, I will pass over you…” — Exodus 12:13
The blood:
- Protected from judgment
- Marked God’s people
- Opened the door to deliverance
This reveals:
👉 The blood is not only about forgiveness
👉 It is about deliverance and transition
From:
- Bondage → freedom
- Slavery → sonship
Revelation — Christ’s Blood Is the Fulfillment
All shadows point to Christ:
- “This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” — Matthew 26:28
- “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood…” — Hebrews 9:12
His blood is:
- Not symbolic only
- Not temporary
- Not partial
It is:
👉 The life of the Son of God given
This blood does what no other could:
- Cleanses
- Redeems
- Reconciles
- Sanctifies
Revelation — The Blood Cleanses the Conscience
The atonement is not only outward—it is inward.
- “How much more shall the blood of Christ… purge your conscience from dead works…” — Hebrews 9:14
This is powerful:
👉 The blood does not only change your standing
👉 It changes your inner condition
It removes:
- Guilt
- Condemnation
- Inner defilement
And restores:
- Peace
- Clarity
- Confidence before God
Revelation — The Blood Opens the Way
Because of the blood:
👉 Access is now open
- “Having therefore, brethren, boldness… by the blood of Jesus.” — Hebrews 10:19
No more:
- Distance
- Fear
- Separation
Now:
👉 Entrance into the holiest
👉 Communion with God
👉 Fellowship restored
The blood did not just forgive—
It brought us near
Revelation — The Cross Is the Final Altar
All altars pointed to one altar:
👉 The cross
- “We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.” — Hebrews 13:10
At the cross:
- The perfect sacrifice was offered
- The perfect blood was shed
- The final exchange was made
No more altars needed
No more sacrifices required
The work is complete.
Declaration — The Blood Has Been Given
Let it be declared:
The life has been given.
The blood has been shed.
The altar has received the offering.
No more delay.
No more repetition.
No more shadow.
The exchange has been made—
And the way is open.
Call to Action — Receive the Life
Do not treat the blood as common.
Do not reduce it to symbol alone.
See:
- The life that was given
- The cleansing that was accomplished
- The access that was opened
Receive it fully.
Walk in it boldly.
For the blood of Christ is not only the answer to sin—
It is the release of divine life into man.
📖 CHAPTER 7
The Great Exchange — What Christ Took and What He Gave
Definition — What Is the Great Exchange?
At the heart of the atonement is a divine exchange.
Jesus Christ did not merely die for sin—
He entered into our condition so that we could enter into His.
Scripture declares:
- “For he hath made him to be sin for us… that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21
- “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…” — Galatians 3:13
The Great Exchange means:
Christ took what was ours, so we could receive what is His.
This is not partial—it is complete.
Revelation — He Took Our Sin
Christ did not ignore sin—He bore it.
- “The Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” — Isaiah 53:6
- “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree…” — 1 Peter 2:24
This means:
- Sin was dealt with directly
- Judgment was not avoided
- The issue was fully addressed
He took:
👉 The weight of sin
👉 The reality of sin
👉 The consequence of sin
Revelation — He Took Our Death
Sin leads to death—and Christ entered that reality.
- “Christ died for our sins…” — 1 Corinthians 15:3
- “That through death he might destroy him that had the power of death…” — Hebrews 2:14
He did not stand outside death—
He stepped into it.
Why?
👉 To defeat it from within
The exchange is not theoretical—
It is existential and complete.
Revelation — He Took the Curse
The law declared a curse upon sin—but Christ took it.
- “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…” — Galatians 3:13
This includes:
- Condemnation
- Separation
- The consequences of the fall
He entered the lowest place
So man could be raised to the highest
Revelation — He Took Our Shame and Brokenness
The exchange reaches beyond legal standing—it touches the inner man.
- “He was despised and rejected of men… a man of sorrows…” — Isaiah 53:3
- “The chastisement of our peace was upon him…” — Isaiah 53:5
He bore:
- Shame
- Rejection
- Sorrow
- Brokenness
So that we might receive:
👉 Peace
👉 Acceptance
👉 Wholeness
Revelation — What He Gave: Righteousness
The exchange is not one-sided—He gives what is His.
- “That we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21
- “As by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” — Romans 5:19
Righteousness is:
- Not earned
- Not achieved
- Not partial
It is:
👉 Given through Christ
Revelation — What He Gave: Life
He took death—so He could give life.
- “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” — John 10:10
- “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” — 1 Corinthians 15:22
This life is:
- Not temporary
- Not external
- Not limited
It is:
👉 The life of Christ Himself
Revelation — What He Gave: Sonship and Acceptance
The exchange restores identity.
- “To as many as received him… gave he power to become the sons of God.” — John 1:12
- “Ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” — Romans 8:15
From:
- Alienation
- Distance
- Rejection
To:
👉 Sonship
👉 Nearness
👉 Acceptance
Revelation — What He Gave: Freedom and Victory
The exchange breaks bondage.
- “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36
- “Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57
From:
- Bondage to sin
- Fear of death
- Oppression
To:
👉 Freedom
👉 Victory
👉 Authority
Revelation — The Exchange Is Complete in Christ
The exchange is not partial—it is complete.
Everything that came through Adam:
- Sin
- Death
- Separation
- Corruption
Is answered in Christ with:
- Righteousness
- Life
- Union
- Restoration
This is why Scripture says:
- “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
The exchange does not improve the old man—
It brings forth the new man.
Revelation — The Exchange Must Be Received
Though the exchange is complete in Christ, it must be received and walked in.
- “We have now received the atonement.” — Romans 5:11
- “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace…” — Romans 5:2
This is where:
- Faith
- Grace
- Union
Begin to operate.
The exchange is finished—
But it must be entered into.
Declaration — The Exchange Has Been Made
Let it be declared:
He took our sin—
We receive His righteousness
He took our death—
We receive His life
He took our curse—
We receive His blessing
He took our shame—
We receive His glory
The exchange is complete—
And nothing is lacking.
Call to Action — Step Into the Exchange
Do not live as though nothing has changed.
Receive:
- The righteousness given
- The life released
- The freedom established
Step out of:
- Old identity
- Old thinking
- Old bondage
And step into:
👉 The reality of Christ
For the atonement is not only what He removed—
It is what He has given.
📖 CHAPTER 8
The Cross — Judgment, Death, and the End of Adam
Definition — What Happened at the Cross?
The cross is the central event of the atonement.
It is where:
- Christ died for sin
- Blood was shed
- The sacrifice was offered
- “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.” — 1 Corinthians 15:3
- “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree…” — 1 Peter 2:24
Most understand the cross as:
👉 The place where sins were forgiven
But the cross is deeper than forgiveness alone.
It is:
The place where judgment was executed, death was entered, and the old man was brought to an end.
Revelation — The Cross Is the Place of Judgment
The cross is not only sacrifice—it is judgment.
- “Now is the judgment of this world…” — John 12:31
- “God sending his own Son… condemned sin in the flesh.” — Romans 8:3
At the cross:
- Sin was not ignored
- Sin was not excused
- Sin was judged
But notice:
👉 Sin was judged in Christ
This is critical:
- Judgment did not fall randomly
- It was executed in a specific place
The cross is where:
👉 God dealt with sin completely
Revelation — The Cross Is the Death of the Old Man
The atonement is not only about forgiveness—
It is about ending what caused the problem.
- “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him…” — Romans 6:6
- “I am crucified with Christ…” — Galatians 2:20
This means:
👉 The old Adamic man was brought to an end in Christ
Not improved
Not repaired
Not managed
👉 Crucified
The cross is not just what happened to Jesus—
It is what happened to the old creation in Him.
Revelation — The First Adam Ends at the Cross
Scripture presents two men:
- The first Adam — the natural man
- The last Adam — Christ
- “The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 15:45
At the cross:
- The first Adam reaches his end
- The old order is judged
- The fallen nature is terminated
The cross is not only:
👉 The forgiveness of Adam
It is:
👉 The end of Adam
Revelation — Sin’s Power Is Broken
Because the old man is crucified:
👉 Sin’s dominion is broken
- “That the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” — Romans 6:6
- “Sin shall not have dominion over you…” — Romans 6:14
The atonement does not just forgive sin—
It deals with its power.
Sin is no longer:
- The master
- The ruler
- The controlling force
Because the root has been judged.
Revelation — The Cross Disarms the Enemy
The cross is also a place of victory over spiritual powers.
- “Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” — Colossians 2:15
At the cross:
- The accuser loses his ground
- The powers of darkness are exposed
- The authority of the enemy is broken
This is not defeat—
👉 It is triumph through sacrifice
Revelation — The Cross Is the End of the Old Order
The cross does not fix the old system—it ends it.
- “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
- “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us…” — Colossians 2:14
What ends at the cross:
- The old man
- The old identity
- The old system of condemnation
- The old order under sin
The cross is not a patch—
It is a termination point
Revelation — “It Is Finished”
The declaration of Christ is final:
- “It is finished.” — John 19:30
What was finished?
- The work of sacrifice
- The judgment of sin
- The dealing with the old man
- The foundation of redemption
Nothing left to add
Nothing left to complete
The cross is:
👉 A finished work
Revelation — The Cross Prepares the Way for Resurrection
The cross is not the end—it is the doorway.
- Death leads to life
- Ending leads to beginning
- “If we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.” — Romans 6:5
The cross clears the ground:
👉 So resurrection can bring forth new life
Declaration — The Old Man Is Finished
Let it be declared:
The old man is crucified.
Sin is judged.
The old order is ended.
The cross is not partial—
It is complete.
What needed to end—has ended.
What needed to be judged—has been judged.
And what remains is the new.
Call to Action — Reckon It True
Do not live as though the old man still lives.
Scripture says:
- “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God…” — Romans 6:11
Reckon:
- The old man is crucified
- Sin has lost dominion
- The cross is complete
Live from:
👉 What has been finished
For the cross is not only something to believe—
It is something to enter into.
📖 CHAPTER 9
The Resurrection and Ascension — The Atonement Completed in Life
Definition — Why Resurrection Matters
The atonement does not end at the cross.
If Christ only died, the work would be incomplete.
But Scripture declares:
- “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” — Romans 4:25
- “God hath raised him from the dead.” — Acts 2:24
The resurrection reveals:
👉 The sacrifice was accepted
👉 Death was overcome
👉 Life has triumphed
The ascension reveals:
👉 Christ is enthroned
👉 The work is complete
👉 The ministry continues
The atonement is not only:
- Death for sin
It is:
Life victorious over death
Revelation — The Resurrection Is God’s Yes
The resurrection is heaven’s declaration:
👉 “The work is accepted”
- “Declared to be the Son of God with power… by the resurrection from the dead.” — Romans 1:4
Everything accomplished at the cross is confirmed by resurrection.
Without resurrection:
- There is no victory
- No justification
- No living hope
- “If Christ be not raised… your faith is vain.” — 1 Corinthians 15:17
The resurrection is not optional—
👉 It is essential to the atonement
Revelation — Death Has Been Defeated
At the resurrection, something irreversible happened:
👉 Death was conquered
- “Death is swallowed up in victory.” — 1 Corinthians 15:54
- “O death, where is thy sting?” — 1 Corinthians 15:55
Christ did not escape death—
He defeated it.
- “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore… and have the keys of hell and of death.” — Revelation 1:18
The atonement is not complete until:
👉 Death itself is overcome
Revelation — Justification Confirmed in Resurrection
The resurrection confirms justification.
- “Raised again for our justification.” — Romans 4:25
This means:
- The work is finished
- The verdict is settled
- Righteousness is established
Justification is not uncertain—
It is confirmed in the risen Christ.
Revelation — The New Life Has Begun
The resurrection is not only about Christ—it includes us.
- “Even so we also should walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4
- “God… hath quickened us together with Christ…” — Ephesians 2:5
This means:
👉 A new life has begun
👉 A new creation has emerged
Not improved Adam—
👉 A new man in Christ
Revelation — The Ascension: Christ Enthroned
After resurrection, Christ ascended:
- “He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” — Mark 16:19
- “Set him at his own right hand… far above all principality…” — Ephesians 1:20–21
The ascension reveals:
👉 The work is complete
👉 Christ is enthroned
👉 Authority is established
He is not waiting to reign—
👉 He is reigning
Revelation — The Atonement Moves From Sacrifice to Administration
At the cross:
👉 The work is finished
In resurrection and ascension:
👉 The work is administered
- “He ever liveth to make intercession…” — Hebrews 7:25
This means:
- The atonement is not repeated
- It is applied
- It is revealed
- It is manifested
Christ is not dying again—
👉 He is reigning and ministering what He finished
Revelation — Seated With Christ
The atonement brings us into union with His position.
- “Made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:6
This is powerful:
👉 Not just forgiven
👉 Not just cleansed
But:
👉 Seated with Him
From:
- Separation → union
- Distance → nearness
- Earthly identity → heavenly position
Revelation — Life Is Now the Central Reality
The atonement moves from death to life.
- “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” — Romans 8:2
Everything now flows from:
👉 Life
- Life over sin
- Life over death
- Life over corruption
The atonement is not centered in death—
👉 It is fulfilled in life
Revelation — The Resurrection Opens the Future
Because Christ lives:
👉 The future is secured
- Resurrection of the body
- Victory over corruption
- Manifestation of the sons of God
- “Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s…” — 1 Corinthians 15:23
What began in Him:
👉 Will be manifested fully
Declaration — He Is Alive
Let it be declared:
He is not in the grave.
He is not in defeat.
He is not waiting.
He is risen.
He is ascended.
He is enthroned.
Death is defeated.
Life has begun.
The work is confirmed.
Call to Action — Live in Resurrection
Do not live at the cross alone.
Go beyond:
- Death → into life
- Sacrifice → into victory
- Forgiveness → into union
Walk in:
👉 Newness of life
👉 Authority in Christ
👉 The power of resurrection
For the atonement is not complete in death—
It is fulfilled in resurrection life.
📖 CHAPTER 10
What the Atonement Accomplished — Forgiveness, Justification, Reconciliation, and Victory
Definition — The Results of the Atonement
The atonement is not theoretical—it produces real results.
Through Christ’s work, something was accomplished:
- “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” — Colossians 1:14
- “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God…” — Romans 5:1
- “God… hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ…” — 2 Corinthians 5:18
The atonement brings:
👉 Forgiveness
👉 Justification
👉 Reconciliation
👉 Victory
These are not future hopes only—
They are present realities in Christ.
Revelation — Forgiveness: The Removal of Sin
The first result most understand is forgiveness.
- “Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” — Hebrews 10:17
- “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions…” — Psalm 103:12
Forgiveness means:
- Sin is removed
- Debt is canceled
- Record is cleared
But forgiveness is not the end—
👉 It is the beginning
Revelation — Justification: Declared Righteous
Beyond forgiveness is justification.
- “Being justified freely by his grace…” — Romans 3:24
- “Whom he justified, them he also glorified.” — Romans 8:30
Justification is:
- A legal declaration
- A righteous standing
- A settled verdict
You are not:
👉 “Almost accepted”
👉 “Partially clean”
You are:
👉 Declared righteous in Christ
Revelation — Reconciliation: Relationship Restored
The atonement goes further—it restores relationship.
- “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself…” — 2 Corinthians 5:19
- “Having made peace through the blood of his cross…” — Colossians 1:20
Reconciliation means:
- Enmity removed
- Peace established
- Union restored
From:
- Separation → nearness
- Distance → intimacy
- Alienation → fellowship
This is the heart of God.
Revelation — Peace With God
Because of justification and reconciliation:
👉 Peace is established
- “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Romans 5:1
Not temporary peace
Not fragile peace
👉 Established peace
No longer:
- Fear
- Distance
- Uncertainty
Now:
👉 Rest
👉 Confidence
👉 Assurance
Revelation — Redemption: Freedom From Bondage
The atonement redeems.
- “In whom we have redemption through his blood…” — Ephesians 1:7
Redemption means:
- Bought out of bondage
- Released from captivity
- Restored to rightful place
From:
- Slavery → freedom
- Bondage → liberty
Revelation — Victory Over Sin
The atonement does not just forgive sin—it defeats it.
- “Sin shall not have dominion over you…” — Romans 6:14
- “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us…” — Romans 8:4
Sin is no longer:
- The master
- The ruler
- The controlling force
Because Christ has:
👉 Broken its dominion
Revelation — Victory Over Death
The atonement reaches beyond sin to death itself.
- “Our Saviour Jesus Christ… hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light…” — 2 Timothy 1:10
- “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” — 1 Corinthians 15:26
This is critical:
👉 The atonement is not complete if death remains undefeated
But in Christ:
👉 Death is overcome
Revelation — Victory Over the Enemy
The atonement disarms spiritual opposition.
- “Having spoiled principalities and powers…” — Colossians 2:15
- “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” — 1 John 3:8
The enemy:
- Accuses
- Binds
- Deceives
But Christ:
👉 Overcomes
👉 Destroys
👉 Liberates
Revelation — A New Identity Is Established
The atonement changes identity.
- “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
- “Ye are a chosen generation… a royal priesthood…” — 1 Peter 2:9
From:
- Sinner → righteous
- Slave → son
- Stranger → citizen
This is not symbolic—
👉 It is real transformation
Revelation — The Results Are Unified, Not Separate
Forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, and victory are not separate works.
👉 They are one unified result of the atonement
- Forgiveness removes sin
- Justification establishes righteousness
- Reconciliation restores relationship
- Victory establishes dominion
Together, they reveal:
👉 The fullness of what Christ accomplished
Declaration — It Is Accomplished
Let it be declared:
Sin is forgiven.
Righteousness is established.
Peace is restored.
Bondage is broken.
Death is defeated.
The enemy is overcome.
The work is not partial—
👉 It is complete.
Call to Action — Live in What Was Accomplished
Do not live beneath what Christ has finished.
Receive:
- Forgiveness
- Righteousness
- Peace
- Victory
Walk in:
👉 The reality of the atonement
For this is not a distant promise—
It is a present reality in Christ.
📖 CHAPTER 11
The Scope of the Atonement — From the Individual to All Creation
Definition — What Is the Scope of the Atonement?
The scope of the atonement refers to:
How far the work of Christ extends—who and what it reaches.
Most have understood the atonement primarily at an individual level:
- Forgiveness of personal sins
- Salvation of the individual soul
This is true—but it is not the full picture.
Scripture declares something far greater:
- “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” — John 1:29
- “Who gave himself a ransom for all…” — 1 Timothy 2:6
The atonement begins with the individual—
But it does not end there.
Revelation — The Individual Is the Entry Point
The atonement is experienced personally.
- “Whosoever believeth in him should not perish…” — John 3:16
- “The just shall live by faith.” — Romans 1:17
Each person:
- Receives
- Responds
- Enters into the work
This is where:
👉 Faith
👉 Grace
👉 Personal transformation
Begin to operate.
But the individual is not the end goal—
👉 It is the entry point into a larger purpose.
Revelation — The Body of Christ Is Formed
The atonement does not stop with individuals—it creates a people.
- “That he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross…” — Ephesians 2:16
- “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body…” — 1 Corinthians 12:13
Through the atonement:
- Jew and Gentile are made one
- Division is removed
- A new man is formed
This is:
👉 The Body of Christ
👉 The corporate expression of life
Revelation — The Nations Are Included
The atonement reaches beyond one group—it includes all nations.
- “In thee shall all nations be blessed.” — Genesis 12:3
- “All nations shall come and worship before thee…” — Revelation 15:4
This reveals:
👉 The atonement is not tribal
👉 It is not limited
👉 It is not exclusive to one people
It extends:
👉 To every tribe, tongue, and nation
Revelation — Creation Itself Is Affected
The fall affected creation—so the atonement must reach creation.
- “The creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption…” — Romans 8:21
- “The whole creation groaneth…” — Romans 8:22
Creation is:
- Waiting
- Groaning
- Expecting
What?
👉 The manifestation of the sons of God
This shows:
👉 The atonement is not only about man
👉 It is about restoring creation itself
Revelation — All Things Are Being Reconciled
Scripture declares the full scope:
- “Having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself…” — Colossians 1:20
- “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ…” — Ephesians 1:10
This is one of the most powerful truths:
👉 The atonement reaches all things
Not just:
- Individual sin
But:
- Creation
- Order
- All realms touched by the fall
Revelation — Heaven and Earth Brought Together
The atonement unites what was separated.
- Heaven and earth
- God and man
- Spirit and creation
- “On earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10
The atonement is not just rescue—
👉 It is reconciliation of realms
Revelation — The Progressive Unfolding of the Atonement
Though the atonement is finished in Christ, it is revealed in stages.
- “Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” — Acts 15:18
We see:
- The cross — the foundation
- The resurrection — the beginning of life
- The ages — the unfolding
- The fullness — the completion
This is:
👉 The plan of the ages
Revelation — The Atonement and the Restoration of All Things
The ultimate vision:
- “Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things…” — Acts 3:21
Restoration means:
- What was broken is made whole
- What was lost is recovered
- What was corrupted is renewed
This is not partial—
👉 It is comprehensive
Revelation — God’s Purpose Is Larger Than Man’s Problem
Man often sees:
👉 Sin as the issue
But God sees:
👉 Restoration as the purpose
The atonement is not only:
- Fixing what went wrong
It is:
👉 Fulfilling what was always intended
Revelation — The Final Vision: God All in All
The scope of the atonement leads to its final goal:
- “That God may be all in all.” — 1 Corinthians 15:28
Everything:
- Restored
- Reconciled
- Brought into harmony
This is the end toward which all things move.
Declaration — The Atonement Reaches All
Let it be declared:
The atonement is not small.
It is not limited.
It is not partial.
It reaches:
- The individual
- The body
- The nations
- Creation itself
And it moves toward:
👉 The reconciliation of all things
Call to Action — Lift Your Vision
Do not reduce the atonement to:
- Personal forgiveness alone
Lift your eyes and see:
- The body
- The nations
- Creation
- The fullness of God’s purpose
For the atonement is not only about saving you—
👉 It is about restoring all things in Christ.
📖 CHAPTER 12
The Application of the Atonement — Faith, Grace, and Union with Christ
Definition — How Is the Atonement Applied?
The atonement is finished in Christ—but it must be applied in us.
Scripture declares:
- “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand…” — Romans 5:2
- “For by grace are ye saved through faith…” — Ephesians 2:8
The application of the atonement involves:
👉 Grace — what God provides
👉 Faith — how we receive
👉 Union — where we live
The work is complete—
But it must be entered into and experienced.
Revelation — Grace: God’s Provision
Grace is the source of the atonement’s application.
- “Being justified freely by his grace…” — Romans 3:24
- “Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” — Romans 5:20
Grace means:
- God initiated
- God provided
- God accomplished
Man does not:
👉 Earn the atonement
👉 Complete the atonement
He receives:
👉 What God has already done
Revelation — Faith: The Means of Reception
Faith is how we enter into what Christ has finished.
- “Therefore being justified by faith…” — Romans 5:1
- “The just shall live by faith.” — Romans 1:17
Faith is:
- Trust in Christ
- Agreement with truth
- Receiving what is already accomplished
Faith does not:
👉 Create the atonement
It receives:
👉 The finished work
Revelation — Union: The Reality of the Atonement
The deepest application of the atonement is union with Christ.
- “He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” — 1 Corinthians 6:17
- “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…” — Galatians 2:20
This is powerful:
👉 The atonement is not only something done for you
👉 It is something you are brought into
You are:
- Crucified with Him
- Raised with Him
- Seated with Him
Revelation — Receiving the Atonement
Scripture speaks clearly:
- “We have now received the atonement.” — Romans 5:11
This means:
👉 The atonement is not just a doctrine
👉 It is an experience
To receive is to:
- Accept
- Embrace
- Walk in
Revelation — The Role of Repentance
Repentance is part of entering into the atonement.
- “Repent ye therefore, and be converted…” — Acts 3:19
Repentance means:
- Change of mind
- Turning from false identity
- Aligning with truth
It is not:
👉 Earning forgiveness
It is:
👉 Turning to receive what is already given
Revelation — The Work of the Spirit
The Holy Spirit applies the atonement within us.
- “The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free…” — Romans 8:2
- “He shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” — John 16:14
The Spirit:
- Reveals Christ
- Applies truth
- Transforms the inner man
The atonement is not lived by effort—
👉 It is lived by the Spirit
Revelation — From Position to Experience
In Christ:
👉 Everything is finished
In experience:
👉 Everything is being revealed
- “Work out your own salvation…” — Philippians 2:12
- “It is God which worketh in you…” — Philippians 2:13
This is key:
👉 Not working for salvation
👉 But working out what is already within
Revelation — Walking in the Atonement
The atonement is meant to be lived.
- “Walk in the Spirit…” — Galatians 5:16
- “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.” — Colossians 2:6
This means:
- Living from righteousness
- Walking in peace
- Operating in freedom
- Manifesting new life
Revelation — Growth and Manifestation
The atonement unfolds in stages in our experience.
- Seed → growth → fullness
- “First the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.” — Mark 4:28
This is:
👉 The plan of the ages within the believer
What is finished in Christ:
👉 Is progressively revealed in us
Revelation — The Assurance of the Believer
Because the atonement is finished:
👉 Assurance is possible
- “These things have I written unto you… that ye may know that ye have eternal life.” — 1 John 5:13
Not:
- Fear
- Uncertainty
- Instability
But:
👉 Confidence
👉 Peace
👉 Rest
Declaration — The Atonement Is Alive in Us
Let it be declared:
The work is finished.
The grace is given.
Faith receives.
The Spirit reveals.
We are in Christ.
Christ is in us.
The atonement is not distant—
👉 It is alive within us.
Call to Action — Walk in It
Do not leave the atonement as knowledge alone.
Enter it.
Receive it.
Walk in it.
Live from:
👉 Union with Christ
For the atonement is not only what He did—
👉 It is what you now live in.
📖 CHAPTER 13
The Goal of the Atonement — Sonship, Dominion, and Restoration
Definition — What Is the Goal of the Atonement?
The atonement is not only about removing sin—it is about fulfilling God’s purpose.
Most have understood the atonement as:
- Forgiveness
- Escape from judgment
- Personal salvation
These are true—but they are not the end.
Scripture reveals a greater goal:
- “For whom he did foreknow… to be conformed to the image of his Son…” — Romans 8:29
- “Bringing many sons unto glory…” — Hebrews 2:10
The goal of the atonement is:
Sonship, dominion, and the full restoration of God’s original intent.
Revelation — Sonship: The Restoration of Identity
The atonement restores man to his true identity.
- “Beloved, now are we the sons of God…” — 1 John 3:2
- “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” — Romans 8:14
From:
- Sinner
- Slave
- Stranger
To:
👉 Son
👉 Heir
👉 Member of God’s family
This is not symbolic—
👉 It is the restoration of identity
Revelation — Adoption and Inheritance
Sonship brings inheritance.
- “If children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ…” — Romans 8:17
- “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children…” — Ephesians 1:5
The atonement restores:
- Relationship
- Position
- Inheritance
What was lost in Adam:
👉 Is restored in Christ
Revelation — Dominion: The Restoration of Authority
From the beginning, God’s purpose included dominion.
- “Let them have dominion…” — Genesis 1:26
The fall disrupted this—but the atonement restores it.
- “Hath made us kings and priests… and we shall reign on the earth.” — Revelation 5:10
Dominion is not:
- Oppression
- Control
- Violence
It is:
👉 Life ruling over death
👉 Light overcoming darkness
👉 Righteousness establishing order
Revelation — Kings and Priests
The atonement produces a people who:
👉 Minister to God (priests)
👉 Rule in life (kings)
- “Unto him that loved us… hath made us kings and priests…” — Revelation 1:5–6
This is:
👉 The government of God expressed through His people
Revelation — The Image of God Restored
The atonement restores what was lost in Eden.
- “Let us make man in our image…” — Genesis 1:26
- “Renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.” — Colossians 3:10
The goal is:
👉 Not just forgiveness
👉 But transformation into God’s image
Revelation — The Manifestation of the Sons of God
Creation is waiting for something:
- “The earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” — Romans 8:19
This reveals:
👉 The atonement is leading somewhere
Toward:
- A people revealed
- A life manifested
- A kingdom expressed
Revelation — Restoration of All Things
The atonement moves toward restoration.
- “The times of restitution of all things…” — Acts 3:21
Restoration means:
- What was broken is healed
- What was lost is recovered
- What was divided is brought into unity
This is:
👉 The fulfillment of God’s purpose
Revelation — From Eden to Fullness
God’s purpose did not begin at the cross—it began before.
From:
- Eden (purpose revealed)
- Fall (purpose disrupted)
- Cross (problem addressed)
- Resurrection (life released)
To:
👉 Fullness (purpose fulfilled)
God is not reacting—
👉 He is completing what He began
Revelation — The Kingdom of God Established
The atonement prepares the way for the kingdom.
- “Seek ye first the kingdom of God…” — Matthew 6:33
The kingdom is:
- God’s rule
- God’s life
- God’s order
Through the atonement:
👉 The kingdom is established within and through His people
Revelation — God All in All
The final goal:
- “That God may be all in all.” — 1 Corinthians 15:28
Everything:
- Restored
- Reconciled
- Brought into harmony
Nothing outside His life
Nothing outside His order
This is:
👉 The ultimate purpose of the atonement
Declaration — The Purpose Is Revealed
Let it be declared:
We are not merely forgiven—
We are sons
We are not merely saved—
We are called to reign
We are not merely restored—
We are transformed
The atonement leads to:
👉 Sonship
👉 Dominion
👉 Restoration
Call to Action — Step Into Sonship
Do not live beneath your calling.
You are:
- A son of God
- An heir of Christ
- A vessel of His life
Walk in:
👉 Sonship
👉 Authority
👉 Purpose
For the atonement is not only what God removed—
👉 It is what He has brought you into.
📖 CHAPTER 14
The Final Vision — The Reconciliation of All Things & God All in All
Definition — The End of the Atonement
The atonement is not only about what Christ has done—
It is about where everything is going.
Scripture reveals a final outcome:
- “Having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself…” — Colossians 1:20
- “That God may be all in all.” — 1 Corinthians 15:28
The atonement moves toward:
👉 Reconciliation
👉 Restoration
👉 Fullness
This is not partial—
It is the completion of God’s eternal purpose.
Revelation — The Reconciliation of All Things
The Scripture does not say “some things”—it says:
👉 All things
- “To reconcile all things unto himself… whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” — Colossians 1:20
This includes:
- Humanity
- Creation
- Order
- Everything touched by the fall
This does not mean:
- Sin is ignored
- Justice is bypassed
It means:
👉 Everything is brought into right relationship through Christ
Revelation — The Gathering of All Things in Christ
God’s plan is unity:
- “That… he might gather together in one all things in Christ…” — Ephesians 1:10
What was:
- Scattered
- Divided
- Broken
Is being:
👉 Gathered
👉 Unified
👉 Restored
Christ is not only the Savior—
👉 He is the center of all things
Revelation — The Defeat of Every Enemy
Before the end comes, every enemy must be dealt with:
- “He must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” — 1 Corinthians 15:25
- “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” — 1 Corinthians 15:26
This reveals:
👉 Nothing remains outside His victory
Not:
- Sin
- Death
- Darkness
- Opposition
All must come under His rule.
Revelation — Death Itself Is Destroyed
The final enemy is death:
- “There shall be no more death…” — Revelation 21:4
This is critical:
👉 If death remains, the work is incomplete
👉 But Scripture declares its end
The atonement does not stop at forgiveness—
👉 It ends in the destruction of death itself
Revelation — The Restoration of Creation
Creation is not abandoned—it is restored.
- “Behold, I make all things new.” — Revelation 21:5
Not:
- All new things
But:
👉 All things made new
This is:
- Renewal
- Restoration
- Transformation
The fall touched creation—
👉 The atonement restores it
Revelation — The Kingdom Fully Manifested
The kingdom reaches fullness:
- “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord…” — Revelation 11:15
What began:
- In seed
- In hidden form
Is manifested:
👉 Fully
God’s rule is no longer partial—
👉 It is revealed openly
Revelation — God Dwelling With Man
The separation is completely gone:
- “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them…” — Revelation 21:3
No more:
- Distance
- Separation
- Veil
Now:
👉 Union
👉 Presence
👉 Communion
This is the heart of the atonement fulfilled.
Revelation — God All in All
The final statement of Scripture’s vision:
- “That God may be all in all.” — 1 Corinthians 15:28
Everything:
- Brought into harmony
- Aligned with truth
- Filled with His life
Nothing outside Him
Nothing resisting Him
👉 This is fullness
Revelation — The Atonement Fully Revealed
Now we see:
The atonement is not:
- A partial solution
- A temporary fix
- A limited work
It is:
👉 The full revelation of God’s purpose
From:
- Sin → righteousness
- Death → life
- Separation → union
- Corruption → restoration
All brought into:
👉 One complete reality in Christ
Declaration — The End Is Declared
Let it be declared:
All things are reconciled.
All things are gathered.
All things are restored.
Death is destroyed.
Creation is renewed.
God is all in all.
The Lamb has finished the work—
And the fullness is revealed.
Call to Action — See the End From the Beginning
Do not live with a small vision.
See:
- The end God has declared
- The fullness He is bringing forth
- The victory already secured in Christ
Align your faith with His purpose.
For the atonement is not only what has been done—
👉 It is what is being revealed… until all is complete.
